"Capture device incompatible", After much testing and several calls to Tech Support, I was told that the Honestech USB capture device is not compatible with some computers. I have a Soyo motherboard with Win XP. I was disappointed that it didn't work, because the package seemed just what I wanted. Tech Support helpful and polite.

"VHS to DVD 3.0 Deluxe", Nice program. I have old VHS tapes of my children when they were very young. It would have been a terrible loss when the tapes begin to disengrate and all those memories would have been lost. Now I have begun to preserve them on DVD's for years to come. The product is easy to use and does exactly what it says. I would recommend this program as a great way to transfer information from the old VHS technology to an updated DVD format.

"vhs to dvd 3.0 deluxe", I bought this program after much research for copying my old vhs tape collection to dvd format and the product has done an adequate job of copying for me however, I find the instructions to be somewhat incomplete. I have had questions about setup for certain dvd copying that I feel a FAQ page, if included, in the instruction manual would help me, as well as others, with using this program. All in all it has done a very good job of making copys of my vhs collection but doesn't seem to work, though it states it is compatable with, dvd dl discs. I would recommend this to anyone who doesn't have movies that go over 2 hours in length as if you get into dl discs you will be somewhat disappointed with its lack of instructions as to how to make those copys.

"OK Product", Purchased this package based on reviews on Amazon and other sites to transfer many VHS to DVD to preserve. Installation was very easy to do. Did have some driver issues, but called company for tech suppot and got the answer I needed. I use Widows Vista Home for my operating system. Found it interesting too that you can't have more than 28 characters in disc name prior to burning, or it will crash half-way through. Tech support helped me figure this issue out as well. As of this writing, I have burned 40-50 DVD's in the one month I have had the package. I would recommend this if you are looking to preserve your VHS memories. If you are looking for high defintion or hopng for great claity in viewing, this might not be the product. I like to remember that the DVD is only going to be as good as the original VHS source. So trying to take a tape recorded in the 1980's will only be as good an image as you can see playing the tape now. Happy Burning!!

"Great product, outstanding value", Tried Pinnacle's Dazzle product and had huge problems on Vista installation, spend a full day to make it work and system kept crashing. Somebody recommended this product. It is great, and at the price a bargain. Painless installation, worked perfectly immediately. Needed to convert some old PAL Hi8 tapes, and customer service provided very precise instructions for how to do it. Customer service responses were a little slow, but as great as everything was, I easily forgive that.

"Honest Technology - VHS to DVD 3.0 Delux", Happy with product. Easy to use. Pretty much as described in the product literature.

"Don't buy this product if your computer is AMD Athlon!!!", This software installed easily enough, but when it came to transferring the VHS to DVD, there was the most incredibly annoying continuous buzzing sound. After corresponding with HonesTech, I found this problem is not unknown to them as they have found a "handful" of customers that have computers with AMD Athlon have the exact same trouble. There is NO fix and they are willing to return my money upon receipt of the software - which is very gracious of them, since it was not bought directly from them. If you are purchasing this software to transfer cassette tapes to CDs, it will work beautifully and the sound is perfect. Hope this helps someone...

"Poor vidio and audio sync", I guess you get what you pay for .......
The audio and video are so far out of sync it is annoying to watch. I believe another reviewer mentioned this also. Not a bad price for the performance, but I discontinued using it and put it in the closet. Just too frustrating.

"VHS to DVD use.", I found this product to pretty much as advertised. The "Wizard" portion works just great. However, the "Advanced Mode" is quite confusing because the instruction manual DOES NOT cover ALL the steps required to "customize" your tape. A call to the company resulted in the supervisor agreeing that the manual is poorly written. In fact, with his help, I was able to prepare a brief "test" DVD. The steps that are omitted are critical to make sure your "customized" DVD is what you expect. With an updated and COMPLETE manual, the product should work just fine.

"Ninguna maravilla", Tengo una laptop Toshiba con Windows Vista Home Premium y compré este artículo porque decía que iba bien con Vista, pero ha sido un absoluto dolor de cabeza lograr que trabaje con Vista. Me jacto de tener un súper equipo de gente experta en Sistemas y a ellos les ha sido bastante difícil conseguir que la unidad trabaje con Vista. Se han tenido que bajar bastantes actualizaciones de la página del proveedor y cuando por fin logramos que funcione, simplemente el Vista no reconoce la unidad como tal, pero felizmente conseguimos que sí reconozca el sonido y el audio. Por otro lado, para completar el caos, el puerto en que va la conexión de video del VCR a la unidad, simplemente no funciona, la unidad vino fallada de fábrica, por lo tanto su control de calidad deja mucho que desear. Cuando hice la consulta a los proveedores, me dijeron que les enviara de vuelta el equipo para revisarlo y si correspondía me lo cambiarían. El equipo está en Perú así que devolverlo iba a ser todo un dolor de cabeza... Mis técnicos probaron el puerto de S-Video y por ahí pudo entrar la imagen, pero se tuvo que comprar un cable especial. Al final, logramos que funcionara, pero aún hay fallas, la imagen y el audio por segundos se paraliza y así queda en la grabación que guarda la laptop, mientras tanto en el VCR la cinta se ve y oye perfectamente. Si me hubiera sido menos complicado devolverlo, de seguro que lo habría hecho. La verdad es que si quieren un convertor de VHS a DVD, mejor busquen otra cosa.
