"Great Game, but it has its flaws."
Command and Conquer 3 is a great game, well worth playing. The Campaign is awesome, the hi-def cutscenes are beautiful, and the multiplayer is also great. The gameplay itself has a few flaws, though. Infantry units are basically worth nothing. They should've just called the game "Command and Conquer 3: Vehicle Wars" because that's what it is. Even though that is true, it doesn't really take too much away from the fun of the game. SO if you like RTS games, or you're a huge fan of the C and C series, I would recommend this game.

"Exactly what a C&C Fan Expects!"
This game reminded me how much I like the C&C series. It is a cool, relatively fast moving, and incredibly fun strategy game. Maybe some would say it isn't the most sophisticated game, but I don't care. If I feel I need something that forces me to think more, I can always play chess. This game on the other hand makes you think enough, and then things move and you feel good about it.

Oh, and boy do things blow up! When you get a good attack going, the screen lights up wonderfully. It just feels like you pulled off something grand, and you just can't help but feel good about it all.

What I really appreciate is that this game updates the series to make it state of the art, yet still preserves the typical C&C vibe.

If you like C&C or these types of strategy games, give this one a go. If you haven't really gotten into these types of games yet, maybe this one is a good one to get started with...

"Any help on this?"
Does anybody know why this game will not work on my Dell 6400 laptop? It crashes about 5 minutes into gameplay back to windows. What I can tell of the game from what I have seen it is amazing with really good graphics but cannot review it to the full extent since I have not played the full game. Any help is appreciated and yes I know this is not a help forum but have done a lot of research with no good results.

"good game!!!"
this game is good... not as good as generals, but good none the same.

"great game!"
I've always been a fan of the C&C games... and by far this one is the best. I've only played a few of the missions so far, but I'm looking forward to seeing how the multiplayer works.

"Friends want to beat me...", Got this since a friend want to beat me at CC3... Installed it on an older computer just to find out the video card was supported... Moved it to a new system and problems with the Audio... Fixed with a driver update..

Other then that, the game is great... Haven't had enough time to get beat yet...

"Skirmish was challenging until AI forgot to play.", This game is sort of like a beautiful aging celebrity who just gets more elegant with age but doesn't get any wiser. I bought it because I thought I would like the "blast from the past" (and it this case quite literally a blast) and found that it really hasn't changed a whole lot.

What happened is that I went into skirmish mode and set my opponent to "hard rusher". Once I figured out how to defend my base, I found I could successfully defeat successive waves of attacks and I looked forward to building my forces and fighting my way across the field to the enemy base, when suddenly the attacks just stopped.

So, I built a little "Pitbull" and drove it over to the enemy base only to find abundant Tiberium, and bunch of buildings, and nothing going on. Then I built some tanks and drove them over to the enemy base and during the course of razing it I found about four enemy harvesters clumped together full of Tiberium not doing anything.

What happened? Well, it looks like the AI got confused and stopped playing. That's sort of a let down, especially in this day of 2 gigahertz and above chips and machines with several gigs of memory. You'd think someone could write an AI opponent that wouldn't get stuck and stop playing during a skirmish. This has happened with games like this in the past, and you'd think that it would have been dealt with.

The bottom line is that it looks like even more cosmetics making an even prettier face on an old game.

I found after writing this review that whenever you've got four or more harvesters and one refinery, they get gridlocked trying to unload their Tiberium.

And, just as you're in the heat of battle and you think things are going well, the Tiberium runs out and your harvesters just head on out across the battlefield to the other side of the "board" and get all destroyed. Has anyone thought of giving us a means to automate the harvesters in an intelligent manner?

There are other quirky things, like if you tell your bombers to bomb a target, and they destroy it, they'll go back to the base by the most direct route possible (regardless of the fact that you made have made a great effort to steer them around enemy defences) and all get shot down. If they don't, they'll return to where the target no longer exists and just fly in circles. Sheesh, talk about "dumb unit syndrome".

So, it should be possible to give the player much more of an ability to customize the behavior of the various units under his/her command. This is where the game really lacks to me, and where the lack of advancement given the years this game has existed is hard to excuse.

On the other hand, once you start a campaign the cut scenes are very cool. So, at the end of the day when I'm too brain dead to want to do anything but blow stuff up in a post-apocalypic world, this is the place to go. It's hard enough to be entertaining, but easy enough to play with half my brain tied behind my back (once I learned what all the units do, of course).

"Try again, I am not impressed", I have all of the C&C games plus their expansions. I have been waiting for this game for two years. I got it the day it came out, but, I did not get the C&C experience. I don't know where this game goes wrong, but, I was dissapionted

Graphics. Seeing as this game was on Game Trailer's list of the best looking games of 2007 as number three, I only wondered why? This game does not have the graphics that I was expecting.

Sound. Umm, no? Besides some nice sounding explosions/effects, the game did not really make an audio impression.

Gameplay. Yes, it is C&C, but not as fun. I remember getting Generals, that game was really fun. This game does not have as much fun in it

Plot. This was the highlight of the game! The story is first rate, involving and interesting. It even involves a new race from outer space, the Scrin. I am not giving any spoilers.

Multiplay. Bugged, I need a patch.

Replay. Unfortunately, since all the environments in the game are either deserts or urban areas, the gameplay gets pretty old. All the missions in the campaign revolve around killing the enemy, defending your base, or holding a territorial point.

If you are a hardcore C&C fan, get this game, but if not get C&C: Generals.

Graphics 6/10
Gameplay 6/10
Sound 6/10
Story 9/10
Multiplay 4/10
Replay 5/10
Stability: Stable, but downloading patches is a nightmare

Overall: 6/10 - Passable

"Great Multiplayer Strategy Game!", I can't get enough of this game.
I love to develop new strategies with my friends who own a copy both on Windows and Mac platforms.
The Internet component is great too, with automatic matching, simple-to-use configuration interfaces, and a ranking system to make the player feel like he is progressing.
I highly recommend this game for countless hours of strategy fun with friends at a LAN or on the Internet.

"Great Game", Great game. Played it many times, but the new updates give NOD an unfair advantage.

"CnC3 Tiberuim Wars Patched version review", First i would like to say that I have been playing this series since Red Alert 2 and have played Tiberiun Sun and Firestorm as well as Renegade.
I have been playing CnC3 since the demo was released and have pained through all of the patches to its current patch of 1.09. (patch 1.10 forthcoming with no real major changes just minor tweaks)
My opinion of this game is that the graphics are much improved over previous titles of this series.
Single player missions are doable in one sitting...if you want to sit for hours on end. Ever since patch 1.09 where the economy was nerfed it is difficult to squeak by a couple missions that were originally programmed for a different economy structure.
Skirmishes are for killing time because the AI does the same thing in all difficutly levels.. rush for 10-20 mins then sit at their base waiting for you to kill them off.
Multiplayer is plagued with cheaters and hackers and I quit playing online months ago. And there is no signs of it stopping even though there are entries on the forums from the EA community manager to the contrary.

The forthcoming expansion Kanes Wrath looks "promising" and I will stop at that.
All in all its a fun game if you are into the RTS genre and with the mutliple difficulty levels and handicap feature..you can set yourself up with alot of scenarios to work thru...but without online play..its just plain not worth the trouble meaning that if you cannot use them online then you really do not know if your strat will actually work against a human opponent.
The Automatch feature was supposed to match you up with someone close to you skill and rank level..but it is broken and doesn't work like it was advertised to.

With exploits abound.. getting an honest match is a crapshoot at best.
If EA had addressed the cheating and exploit and hacking issues I would have ranked this game higher..but I am an online player and this game falls short of the hype given it pre release.

"Good", It was a good time waster while deployed. If you are looking for a game to kill some time and have a decent system this is it. Long gone are the days of westwood studios and real games htat people spent time makeing.

"mediocre singly player, boring mulitplayer", The only improvements this game shows are the graphics and the addition of third race "Scrin". C&C games always sucked and will suck forever. The cutscenes between missions were unbelievably cheesy and boring (even though they used some famous actors/actresses) it was painful to watch them. I recommend getting World in Conflict.

"It's okay for killing time ", The rules are pretty simple:

1- Build up forces
2- Attack enemy
3- Repeat

I've been playing C&C since the beginning and the only real complaint I have is the storyline. You aren't able to more involved in how the story unfolds, instead , you watch a short video then you have to follow a preset story line.
If you are looking for a way to vent some your day to day stress then I guess it works for that.

"A must buy for RTS fans", i have been a fan of C&C for a very long time. then i heard they were coming out with #3. So without thought i bouth it, installed it, and started playing.

I love the fact you can make as many people as you can without limit. The graphics are great. Though i think they should make more bigger maps with more tiberium, alot of the blue stuff. I love the units they brought, the mamoth tank is back.

Heros and leveling would be nice to have. I think when u get your units to a higher rank it should have more of an efect.

I haven't played the campain too much, i love skirmish. the missions i have played are great. Some are way easy, some take some time to finish.

But overall i love this game and would tell any RTS fan to grap it. And look out for Star Craft 2, its coming.
