"TECHIE HEAVEN", Got this magazine on order for my husband. First issue got read from cover to cover instantly. He loves it! It is great for techie men who aren't hunters or woodworkers but rather toy with gadgets and great ideas. It disappears almost the second it comes in the mail and doesn't resurface until it is well worn and I have heard about at least ten new things!

"Where is it at?", I ordered this for my husband to read during his deployment and expected him to at least have one before he left. Nope. It says they it shipped on Dec 24th. We've still not received anything. Very unprofessional for such a upstanding magazine.

"Best Christmas Gift For Guys", Well, I was told by the recipient that Popular Mechanics is the best gift for a guy. I dragged my feet on my Christmas shopping this year and did an on-line subscription and spent less for a two year subscription from Amazon than I would have spent with a direct one-year subscription from the publisher. There's always something interesting to read in Popular Mechanics. As a confirmed pack-rat I have to admit it's hard to bundle up the old issues and take them to the library -- I find myself thumbing through the issues to see if I missed something or have to re-read a particular article ....

"this mag is a waste of paper", i use to get pop sci and pop mech when i was a kid. thought i would get a sub of each from Amazon. both started arriving with in a month ... very nice. when the pop sci arrived i read it cover to cover. when the pop mech arrived i was excited and took it into my "office" for what i expected to be a nice long read. what a disappointment! full of ads .. and not even interesting products. articles were very weak. it took 3 minutes to realize i wasted my time. rolled it up and tossed it. hope that issue was just an anomaly.

"Great idea for a Holiday Gift", We got two of these subscriptions for do-it-yourselfers. This magazine makes a great gift/stocking stuffer and the price for two years it the greatest.
