"Audio Video Sync Problems "

Roxio marketed this product for Mac users who want to transfer Tivo shows to DVD. Well, it worked for me for about two months until the Tivo Fall Service Update , now every time I burn a DVD from a TivoTransfer I get terrible out of sync audio and video.

This sync issue is a problem that began in October '07 AND many users experience this problem. Do a web search for " TiVo Fall 2007 Update Apparently Breaks TivoToGo/Toast on the Mac". As of Early February '08 Roxio has not posted a solution or update to fix the sync issue.

I contacted Roxio asking for a refund once I realized this is a widespread issue - however their response was I was beyond their 30 day refund period.

"Toast 8 Titanium works as expected"
I have upgraded to Toast 8 Titanium from Toast 6 Titanium. I use Toast mostly for making multiple DVD copies and it has always worked very well in that respect. I have also used it for burning data CDs and DVDs, and it works well for those projects. I have no major complaints and feel that it is a useful part of my DVD burning capability.

"Tivo To Go Does Not Work, save your money"
As with other responders, I have been suckered by the promise of a product that in no way delivers. The Tivo To Go function has audio-visual syncing problems. Roxio insists it is a small number of users that have the problem. Go ahead and buy this to see if you also get to join the ranks of "the small amount".

I purchased toast for the Tivo to go transfer capabitity. I have not used it too much yet for burning disks, but It is working great for transfers. I am able to re encode and transfer to my ipod touch. Is has saved me a great deal of money on TV episode, and gives me something to watch every day at lunch. Well worth the price if you have an iPod or iPhone.

"cheaper download"
program works nicely, but go to the link below to download it for 30something dollars rather than order it for $70. Note: to purchase anything on the site, your order total has to be over $30, and Toast sells for $28. So, if you don't find anything else you really want on the site, you can just add one of the cheaper programs (around $10) to bring the total over $30 (and still much less than $70). and then it would be a good idea to back up the software on a dvd-rw.
