"Wonderful dry kit fits well in almost any mix.", At first listen, this might sound dry, almost dead. But that's what real drums sound like before they have the life processed into them (or out of them). In reality, this kit falls into most mixes brilliantly right out of the box. Most "kick-butt" sounding drum sounds in these programs can't fit into a mix no matter what you do. They have too much personality of their own and just won't blend. This Vintage EZX is exactly the opposite. You can do whatever you want to them, and make them as specific as you want. On the other hand, you can leave them alone and use them as is and they sound brilliant. Other programs like BFD which give you dry, unprocessed sounds sound horrible in a mix, and give you no choice but to work on them to make them usable. This Vintage EZX is somehow the perfect blend of everything you could want. I'd like to have seen more variety of kit pieces in this, but in some ways the simplicity of it makes it very easy to use, and a total pleasure.
