"Snappy cover, works fine.", We have two Speck covers on MacBook Pros, and two more on MacBooks.

The oldest is twenty months (back when mainly red was available), now we distinguish our computers with a variety of colors. No problems after repeatedly taking them off and on (batteries and memory problems.

I recommend it to most Mac Notebook users. We have none of the typical scratches and dings we've seen on previous computers.

"Superior protection for your MacBook Pro", This is a great product. I have a blue case as well; they're both sturdy products built to last.

"A blast of color!", I loved the sleek aluminum case of my new MacBook Pro, but I still wanted to personalize and protect my laptop with a colorful case. This case was perfect because the color is a radiant turquoise which fit my 15-inch MBP snugly and still allows the metal patina to shine through. Highly recommended if you want to make your MBP stand out wherever you travel with it.

"Pimping your MacBook Pro and protecting it at the same time", I am using this Speck product now for some months and am very happy with it.

In the beginning I had to 'shave' a bit along the front and sides of the case to remove some sharp edges but now I cannot even remember my Macbook Pro without it.

It is easy to install and once it is on it is doing a great job giving my Macbook Pro some extra protection.

On top of protecting my computer it looks great as well. It is almost like pimping my computer and when I open up my computer in a group I always get questions about how I got my computer looking that great.

I recommend this case to all who want to protect their computer.

In my bag I tend to have an additional neoprene case around it in a my case as I travel by plane regularly where people are less careful when they try to squeeze their too big over sized bag in the small overhead bin.

"New Version", I have recently upgraded to this new model.This is a new model with no fit issues. This model also has a cut-out to allow the pressing of the battery button. Speck got it all right with this new model. The top cover of the new model is also smooth giving this new model a better look, at least in my opinion.

"Great Protector for MacBook Pro", I'm a really big fan of this Speck case. It has really done a great job of protecting my Macbook Pro from getting scratched and otherwise beat up in my backpack, messenger, etc. There is only one downside to this cover that I can come up with. The lower part of the case towards the back of the machine has no hooks to hold in place so the corders seem loose sometimes. It hasn't been a problem, but I've noticed I have to put the laptop in my backpack with those ends facing out so they don't get caught by the bag.

"Protection and Style in one package", The cover snapped on my new 15" Mac Pro right out of the box with no adjustments. Adds a nice protection against scratches and adds a little color to monochromatic metal. Now if they could just figure out how to protect the track pad from greasy fingers.;>


"Get Incase Instead.", This is a hard cheap polycarbonate that cracks easily and doesn't fit correctly. The only thing it has going for it is that it is orange. Get the Incase instead, it lets you have access to the battery check button on the bottom, has more ventilation holes on the bottom, a nice non slip feel, and it is flexible and more durable, and it fits. Just wish it came in more colors.

"Perfect as is and adds that extra level of pimp to your walk...", Price -

Considering what it is(two pieces of hard plastic) it's a little on the pricey side and maybe the thinking is if you have a MacBook Pro then you'll be willing to shell out the extra coin for a little added protection. Not sure I'm cool with that, but then again this is speculation and I don't know what goes into the production, shipping and companies expenses in bringing us this product. You do get a cleaning cloth with the pkg that was not advertised. So thumbs up for the extra effort and gift.

Quality and Fit-

Seems reasonably hard but don't drop your laptop as I can see where this will crack. It's more to protect against surface scratches, fingerprints etc on the bottom and top of the laptop. This by no means should be the end all of your laptop protection attempts but it's a more than solid start. Fits the MacBook Pro without any effort with no weird or abnormal bulges or defects in the plastics mold. Creating a very sleek looking case for your MacBook Pro.

Installation - Takes 15.6 seconds to put on and that's if you're distracted. The hooks or clips that snap into place have a very straight forward application method(good design) and it's so easy a caveman could do it.

What it's for? -

Top and bottom protection against scratches and non-ideal surfaces you might have to rest your laptop on.

Extras -

Came with a bright orange cleaning cloth! I used it on the screen and it was perfect for that application.

Overall thoughts - I'm so happy with this item I think I'll buy a black case as well. If this company also sells a rubberized version of this case I'd also be interested in taking a go at that as I'm happy with the overall quality of the item, quickness of the shipping and the price just means one night I won't be able to have Sushi. :P
