"Lots of Fun" I am having alotta fun with this. So many different ways to use the remote. Shaking for the salt/spice shakers, Rolling for the dough. Meat Grinder rotation. Chopping, slicing, dicing. Stir-frying etc. Its like doing the actual thing but only with a wii remote. Its a really fun game and probably one of my faves so far for the wii for simple fact all the neat ways to use the remote in combination with the recipe and cooking methods. over all 5 outta 5 cause of it being so fun and innovative use of the wii remote.
"Good casual game." This is a cute cooking simulation. There's some bad English, but that's part of the charm. I don't usually play it for more than 30 minutes or so at a go, but that's fine.
"My kids love it" My two girls (12 and 15) play this a lot, and like playing it with their friends too. Very popular at this household.
"Thanks!" 12 y/o girl who really enjoys the game as much as she does cooking for the rest of the family - thanks!
"Wii Cooking mama cook off" Excellent game. My older daughter has it for her DS game. When we bought this one for her, my younger one is loving it too. It's so much fun with all this cooking and my little one love to chopped anything in there. Now they're all want to cook for the real thing. I think this game inspiring and introduce them to all kind of food and ingredient. To them the kitchen is a completely different world only Momy can understand and work in it. Now they do understant some just by playing. They still loving it...

What our customer's say!
"Very Entertaining Game", I loved this game!!! The graphics are medium/good, and the playing part of it is very fun. You can pick from a plethora of recipes, and you get can unlock new recipes. The actions you have to perform to make the dish have a variety of difficulty. Some are very easy, like grinding meat, while others take a while to master, such as breaking eggs and peeling vegetables. It is very fun to play 2 player. The cartoon character in it gets kind of annoying, with some of her phrases being repetitive and some are garbled, so you can't understand them(These should not be the reason why you don't buy the game)Overall, I would say this is my favorite wii game that I have played so far.
"A little frustrated", We borrowed this game for several weeks while our friends were out of town. We couldn't wait to play it, since it seemed such a popular game. However we were quickly frustrated at the game. It was very hard for my 9 and 7 year old to play. The directions are difficult to understand at times. It would have been nice to play one part and then to practice it until you got it right, but it goes right on to the next part of the receipt. Also a major problem is that my 9 year old is left handed and their was no way for her to play left handed. She tried to play right handed which made the game work better, but she was quickly tired of the difficulty. Hopefully the sequel will improve on these areas.
"Cute But Not Complex", Cooking Mama: Cook Off is a really fun little game. It's not long, it's not complex, and the graphics aren't jaw-dropping by any means. Despite all that, I still play this game whenever I'm sick and end up spending the day on the couch or friends come to visit. It's simple enough that anyone can play it, but varied enough to be interesting. Plus, the sound effects and Mama's voice over is completely hilarious. You get a gold medal when you do good, and even messing up is funny, like when you flip the pancake too hard and it flips off the stove and splatters on the counter.
"Entertaining!", This game is cutesy and is fun to play with friends. The only downside is that there could be a few more recipies and this game is beatable within the span of literally, three hours. (including unlocking all recipies ((gold medals)), and item available, not challenges).
"WII Cooking Mama", I got this game for my married daughter and her husband. They have really enjoyed it.

"So much Fun!", This game is so fun! It's unlike anything thing else out there! If you're a foodie like me you'll love this game! I wish Wii would make more games like these!
"More frustrating than fun.", I was excited when we got a Wii because I am not a big gamer (my husband is the gamer in the house), but the games looked really fun and I was looking forward to some games that I could play for a change. Cooking Mama was one I was hoping to get my hands on. Hubby finally brings it home one night and we throw it in while the kids are asleep. Trying to figure out what Mama wants you to do is a hassle. The screen will display instructions before each event, yet the controls are off or something because we both had a lot of trouble accomplishing the goals. Then you've got Mama yapping on about "dude not mine" or whatever it is she is rambling... it's so hard to tell because it sounds like a japanese woman speaking english but trying to throw in another accent. I see from these reviews that a lot of others have complaints about understanding Mama. (wish I could toggle her off--lol) I can't bring myself to play more than a few recipes and I want to shut the game off. I think this game is for people who don't know a thing about cooking because I could go to the kitchen and cook a 3 course meal a lot easier than cooking w/ Mama. I wish I had saved my money... this game is just not fun to me...
"fun for the entire family", we all played this game...mom, dad and kids from ages 14 to 6 and we all thought it was cute. we are still getting used to the wii controls as we just got our wii yesterday and this was one of the games we picked up with it. i'm even sore from all thes stirring and chopping motions. my 8 year old got a little frustrated at first but once she got used to it she was okay. i can't wait to advance in the game further. very cute concept
"Worth the $ for fun factor, though not the best game ever", Cooking Mama on the Wii is super fun, especially with friends. I haven't yet tried the DS version, but I can say that I have already unlocked about 20 recipes and this game is worth the money. at only about 30.00 it's pretty fun. Sure, it isn't the best game I've ever played in my life (nothing compares to Mario games) but it's still an entertaining way to spend time on the wii. Basically you cook different meals. They start you out with some basics (the meals go by cuisines from different countries) and then you unlock more as you play single player mode. This mode is very fun because Mama helps you and it's exciting to anticipate which meal you unlock next. While single player mode is fun, playing against a friend in two player mode is very entertaining; seeing who is the better cook is very fun. There is a third mode in which you play against the computer, someone representing each cuisine from a specific country. That is pretty fun if you want to challenge someone but have no friends around. Overall, I would give this game a 4. The reason being that it is difficult to control at times and the directions are not clear at first. However once you start playing the controls become pretty intuitive because you just do the actions as if you were actually stirring or chopping up ingredients. Mama's comments are hysterical and the graphics are quite cute and fit well with the game; the food looks pretty real too! You do not have to be a master chef or love to cook either. I would say this is a very nice addition to any Wii owner's collection. Other than some tough controls in the beginning, Cooking Mama is a very satisfying, enjoyable game, with or without friends.
"Cooking...Doesn't Quite Make It To Mama", When I first got this game for my birthday, I thought "Oh, cool! Everyone's got this game!" Well, it turns out everyone is just me. This game is pretty fun at first, but gets repeative. I have to admit, it's fun to see all the recipies from different countries, but there's no point to any of it!!! I wouldn't recommend this game to anyone, unless they have a little kid trying to be like his/her mom, and like to cook. Overall, this game can get vey boring, but if you really want this game, I recommend TWO things: 1. Get the DS version instead 2. Prepare yourself for a short-term game I would say this game isn't one of my favorites, but it's not so bad that I would trade it in.
