What our customer's say!
"XBox Tradition", The HALO series really brought a new light to the XBox community and created a huge fan base to really get people motivated to purchase a xbox or invest in the newer XBox 360. With a greatly improved graphics engine at its core, HALO 3, brought a new glow to the already popular series. There is little I can comment on how awsome this game is, that has not already been said. My only concern is that legitimate gamers who truely enjoy the game can pursuade hackers and cheaters from continuing their use of these tools to dominate the battlefield unfairly. If you are a truly good gamer, you do not need cheats to win. Enjoy the game everyone.
"Great", Great, I even got it for less then the original Halo 3. Why does everyone hate it? It's worth it, and it was cheaper for me too. Good deal.
"Great Game, One of the best.", This is one of the best games I have ever had the pleasure to play. The entire Halo series is fantastic. I have had this game since lauch and still play it every single day.
"Limited Edition Rocks!!!", Excellent game, the online multiplayer is awesome. The Limited Edition looks veeeery nice and the bonus DVD and race booklet are very nice.
"HAlO 3", I still play this from time to time online. This game has no flaws it's perfect 10.

"Buy Halo 3 -- Just NOT the Limited Edition", This game is one of the greatest to ever come out. It is outrageously fun. The packaging for this particular product is atrocious. It's made of cheap tin, and the discs don't stay in place (causing them to get scratched). Purchase Halo 3 or Halo 3 Legendary Edition (which might be found at some places even cheaper than the Limited Edition).
"over 6 months later and the problem remains!", So I just bought the Limited Edition in the tin box and guess what? BOTH discs were heavily scratched!! The game plays but when I load my Xbox with the game inside, it sticks at the welcome screen! I dunno if the replacement program still works but it is unfair that we have to pay to post them to Microsoft and be without the game for weeks!
The game itself follows from where Halo2 left off and while it offers nothing "special" or unique from the previous games in the trilogy, it is still fun to play. Now if only the game would actually come in a playable condition!
"Sets THE STANDARD For Multiplayer", Haters be damned, Halo 3 still sets THE STANDARD for multiplayer enjoyment. Yes, the entire Halo story (single player) is a bit disjointed and each game since the first has been too short, but who really buys Halo for the SINGLE PLAYER? Halo 3 is all about ONLINE MULTIPLAYER killin'! It really is that simple. Bungie has expanded character customization (FINALLY). Overall, this game has the most re-playability of ANY game currently on the market. For an entire Halo experience, and to actually understand the story line, I encourage people to pick up the Halo novels. They will flesh out the video game experience and give some of you a little more credibility when you are attempting to talk about this series. Halo 3 is HIGHLY recommended!
"A great ending to a beloved series.", Halo: Combat evolved brought console shooters a revolutionary control scheme and shooting mechanics, and a surprisingly good story. Halo 2 brought us a new revolution, online play, along with fantastic graphics and a solid continuation of the storyline despite a cliffhanger. Now, we pick up where that cliffhanger left off, and I'm glad to say its everything Halo fans were hoping it would be.
Halo 3 isn't as graphically groundbreaking as Halo2, but its still rather impressive. All the character models, gun models, vehicle models, and backgrounds/terrain are much more detailed. The water physics are spectacular, and it reacts to your movement perfectly. The physics engine overall is great, thanks to Bungie deciding to use the Havok engine. The textures on everything is vastly improved from Halo 2, and stands up among the best like Gears of War and Uncharted, although it doesn't quite match them. The character animations are all pretty solid. The lighting is spot on. The explosions are spectacular. Plus the game runs at a smooth frame rate and has little to no texture pop in. I don't know if there's much else you can ask for graphically in a game.
The sound in this game shines almost as much as the graphics do. The gun sound effects are solid and diverse, I can tell which gun someone is using just by the sound. Explosions sound almost as cool as they look. One thing they nailed perfectly is the sound the butt of your gun makes when it smashes into someone's head, you can almost feel the crunch thanks to the sound effects. As for the soundtrack itself, its as welcome as ever. Its loud, dramatic, and most importantly, epic. Its truly one of the better done soundtracks I've heard in a game.
Now for the most important part, the game-play. This is why fans of the series keep playing years after the game's release. We already know Halo probably has the best shooting mechanics on consoles, and controls like a dream. The replacement of the black and white buttons with shoulder buttons takes some getting sued to at first, but once you do it feels so much more fluid and natural. The campaign is longer than the one in Halo 2, and about the same as the one from Halo: Combat Evolved. This time around, you can play with up to four players total in co-op mode. To play co-op with more than one of your friends, you must be online. I really like the campaign in the Halo series, and this is no different. It rounds out the story well, and the cut scenes are awesome. I just wish the ending was a bit for fulfilling, I won't say anymore so I don't ruin it for those who haven't played through it yet. I've played through the campaign on co-op many times, and its still loads of fun, although legendary can be very difficult. All the guns from Halo 2 are here, as well as some of the ones that were in the original but were left out of Halo 2, and several new ones including my favorite, the brute hammer. They even added new grenades. There's also several new vehicles, all of which find their uses at some point. All of the guns and vehicles are pretty well balanced. There's also many new multi-player maps, some of which are really cool. Then there's the forge editor, which isn't quite a true map editor but still adds to the game. There's also the new video replay feature which is really cool. The online play is essentially the same as it was in Halo 2. Overall the game-play is as fantastic as ever.
This game is a very good end to an awesome trilogy. Any Halo fan should love this, and most shooter fans should as well. Was it over hyped? Yes, but its still amazing in every way.
"This Is The Biggest Game Ever,A cultural Phenomenon,This Is Halo 3", After the succes that Halo and Halo 2 have receved on the original XBOX,the epic Halo saga finally came to the XBOX 360 on September 25th 2007.The launch date has been marked on the calendar of every gamers even those who didn't plan to buy it or don't even have an XBOX 360,whatever would happen it would still be Halo 3 and sell millions of copies. The launch did happen as planned by Bungie and Microsoft, unlike many games who have been delayed,it is no surprise that Halo 3 sold millions of copies and the game ultimatly receved mixed but mostly positive review and attracted many gamers to XBOX Live. Those are all facts but continue reading for my personnal review.
As someone who has actually PLAYED THE GAME,Halo 3 in my opinion is true to the Halo serie and brings much of the same insane fun that millions had playing the first two Halo games. It is similiar to Halo 2 but with a few improvements in the game itself, new weapons, vehicles and a better online play with some new things added such as grades for your character(ranked as General for exemple) and the ability to now record, take screenshots,or just watch your entire matchs as much as you want by saving them on you XBOX 360 hard drive and put them on XBOX Live.If you have XBOX Live then you should stronlgy consider buying this game.
The ending of Halo 2 was pretty bad as many gamers will agree,I am one of them. Now with Halo 3 at least its wrapping the Halo story properly and you feel like you really did something, only for that Halo 3 is great. The storyline is alright. The story stays true to Halo and concludes what is said to be the final chapter of Halo greatly as you will see after you completed the game really good and you discover why there won't be Halo 4,on that point its great.
The controls are easy if you played Halo before,Halo 3 is much of the same on that point.Don't worry it is still a FPS.The controls can be resumed as easy, quick to learn, fun, well designed and they feel great great unlike some games where the controls feel all bad. They made some changes but for the better as it takes advantage of the XBOX 360 controller's triggers(you use them to shoot)it feels great. Those are some of the best controls I have experienced on my XBOX 360 so far.
The single play is pretty solid on the story mode, its pretty fun and the game did a good job of getting you into it early on.Having played the first two Halos I had the experience necessary to get trought the game,if you haven't played it before you will get into it rather quickly.I liked the missions so I can say story mode is definatly worth playing and fun. Some missions are longer than others while others are shorter, some are better, some are bad.Its mixed in many areas but its worth playing.I had lots of fun discovering the new weapons and try to make the best dual-up combination(i came up with some pretty good ones).I had even more fun discovering the new vehicles I don't want to give too much details and ruin the experience for you so i will stay quiet about the new weapons and vehicles.
Multiplayer is neat if you have some of your friends to play it,if you don't you can't play multiplayer as the game simply doesn't have bots for multiplayer. That's right DOES NOT HAVE BOTS,Halo after all those years still doesn't have any bots. For those who have XBOX Live,no need to care but for those won't don't and can't get it,its bad as you can't play alone multiplayer or online, wich is where the true fun of the game was in the first two Halos and remains in Halo 3.That point right there will make potential buyers not buy it,because at this point of age in the video game industry if you can't even have bots in the game...
And also those who play online but don't like the experience for various reasons(hackers, bad connection...) might have prefered playing with bots instead.Yes bots might be things of the past for many and online is the future but still its nice to have them in the game. That is deceving for some but that's how it is.I think Microsoft did that on purpose to get more people on XBOX Live, that's a smart strategy but had they put put bots ainvailable in multiplayer they would have got bigger sales....
Alright enough bot talk. Now lets talk Online, there might be some problems and it can be frustrating but if you are looking for a great game online and online experience Halo 3 is your buy.Online is wicked fun,I can't really say a lot for it except online for Halo 3 is great(depending who you're playing with). This is where the real fun of the game is.
Im conclusion to this long review,Halo 3 is a must for the XBOX 360 gamer especially if you have online,if you don't have it you should.I am satisfied with what Bungie offered with Halo 3,a great XBOX 360 experience for all gamers.I think it lives up to the hype.I recommend this edition for those who wants to save cash and don't care for extras. For those who like Halo a lot then consider the special edition and if you are a Halo freak then by all means buy the Legendary edition that has the master chief helmet. This game is essential to your XBOX 360 games collection.Your friends will tell you to get it until you actually do,that's how it was for me.
