Others say...
"Surprisingly great!" I must admit that I was skeptical from the very beginning but I decided to try this anyway. I'm using it with MS Live Search (which is free) and my T-Mobile Wing. After pairing with your phone, type in a location using Live Search, then click on route/maps/menu and finally "Center on GPS". It even works inside my house. The only reason why I didn't give this a perfect rating was because it doesn't come with a wall charger and you have to download Pharos' Ostia software ($120) if you want voice "turn by turn" directions. For $80 dollars this is definitely worth it.
"Does not work as advertised" Attempted to use this with the Microsoft branded Pharos GPS-500. The bluetooth stack on my Lenovo T61p sees the device and takes the passcode, but the sled never binds with the bluetooth stack. As a troubleshooting step I tried to bind the unit to my Windows Mobile 6.0 phone and the same results. The BT stack sees it but the device won't pair with the phone.
I called Pharos and thier support agents will only tell you its a problem with Vista and Microsoft knows about it, they will then tell you to download a piece of nagware to test. Using this software confirms what I already know, and that is that the sled won't pair and Pharos response is that it can't be thier problem, it has to be a Vista/Microsoft problem. This is hardly possible as I use this machine and its bluetooth stack all the time to connect to mice and headphones, so I had no recourse but to return the unit.
"A must have..." If you have the GPS-500 and a bluetooth PDA or using Microsoft Streets and Trips on your laptop, the Pharos Bluetooth Dock is a must have produce. No more wires, easy to set up and use. I've used it in the car, on a boat, out on hikes. I do geocaching with it. it is a great product!
"Very convenient dock" This dock works phenomenally well. It rides well on the dash of my car, in my pocket when I'm walking, or from my desk at home. I no longer have this ugly extension sticking out of my PDA, and I'm no longer afraid I'll break it off. My son has one as well that he uses with Microsoft S&T on his laptop as he drives up and down the 10 western states as a truck driver, and he loves his, too.
"A Handy Little Gadget" We used Microsoft Streets and Trips on our road trip last year but didn't like the wire running down the front winshield to connect the Pharos GPS to the laptop. The Pharos Bluetooth Dock is the perfect solution. We simply stick the GPS with the dock in the sunroof or place it on the dash and we have connection. This setup also works well on our boat where the dock is on the cabin top communicating to the laptop charting and navigation programs. A good buy.

What our customer's say!
"Great Bluetooth accessory for Streets and Trips and Pharos GPS", The Bluetooth dock has plenty of power and works great in my car. It is small and unobtrusive. I use it with my laptop and my PDA.
"Does not work while charging", I bought this because it was recommend by microsoft for use with Streets and Trips. As already mentioned it does not work with Streets and trips on Vista. It does however work well with Garmin PC. A few things I'm not happy about. The blue led is to bright when you have the unit on your dash at night and it does not work while you are charging it... very annoying.
Update: The unit does not work while charging until the battery has been charged for 15 minutes after being fully discharged.
"Works Great", Works great with Blackberry 8700. Also works great with Google Maps With GPS Tracker 13.0 (Shareware software). Doesn't work at all with Microsoft Streets and Trips 2008 running on Windows Vista - Apparently Streets & Trips 2008 has problems with half-duplex bluetooth serial port communications... Shame on you Microsoft.
I recommend the Pharos BT dock IF you don't plan to use it with Streets and Trips on Vista.
Cheers,
Mike
"Great option worth having!", I bought this to use with my PDA and laptob. It works great, easy to setup, long battery life. Has a blue connect light, flashes to show it is on, turns soild when linked. Recharges quickly, small, great design, no wires to fight with. Great product, highly recommend. Would buy it again for any price, well worth investment. Can't think of a way to make it any better, no complaints.
"Does the job", Works great for me, I bought it to pair it up with a free GPS application on a Windows Mobile device for Geocaching. I also use it to eliminate the wires when I'm traveling with my fiance using the laptop and Microsoft Streets and Trips 2007. Works well in both cases.

"Works great, especially with BB 8700", I used this with my BB 8700 and dell D800. Worked great with both. The BB pairing went off without a hick and with BB maps would take you where you need to go. With the D800 it was a little harder (thus due mainly to user error most likely and a cheap dongle)
"Works Great With Windows Mobile 6, Live Search and Google Maps "Locate Me"", I own the Samsung i760 PDA with 320*240 screen and use this GPS to send GPS data to Google Maps and MS Live Search mobile (both are free). I the can view the real-time aerial/satellite "up ahead" just like the government has been doing in the movies. I use a combined power and data/sync cable from Pocket Connections, an air vent PDA car mount. PDANet software lets me tether the Samsung to my laptops USB connection using MS Active sync. It took a while to come up to speed but this is the killer configuration which everyone who I show it to wants. It's all great fun especially talking to Live Search through Windows Mobile 6 asking for "Starbucks" nearby and then having their locations and address appear on the PDA. Samsung i760 Black Phone (Verizon Wireless)
"Didn't work with my Blackberry", I was pretty sure this should connect to my blackberry pearl using bluetooth, which it did, but nothing good happened after that. Just gave me this error - Signal too weak to pinpoint location. I tried my best to get it to work from a variety of places during different times of the day- but it's a useless piece of plastic now.
My GPS device is from MS Streets and Trips 2007.
"The best dealer out there!", This is the best device out there for all of you who are tired of carrying around crazy wires and attachments to make your Pharos GPS reciever work with your laptops or pokcet PCs. The quality is mind blowing. It snaps on the reciever and after that ita ia juat a metter of seconds you are on the go. The bluetooth connection is blazing fast and once configuers picks up the signal in no time. the accuracy is unbelievable and the fuunctionality is extraordinary. I use it with my HTC 8525 and use the TOM TOM navigation software which by the way is the best thing out here for pocket pcs and I have never been this happy. I completely recomend it to all out there who like me werent born without a compass or the ones who are constantly on the road.
"Can't use with MS Streets and Trips 2007", Would be great if it could link with the MS-Streets and Trips 2007. I bought the USB version as part of the Streets and Trips and thought it would be excellent to BT to the GPS receiver. So I bought it, but I cannot select the "right" com port in Vista.
