"great for the price", These speakers are proof that you don't have to spend a fortune for computer speakers to get very good reliable sound. The are powerful and substantially built. We are very happy with the product

"Terrible Sound", I didn't have huge expectations for these speakers - I realize that they were at the entry-level price point - but these are horrible! I have to turn the volume up on the computer, itunes, and the speakers in order to hear anything. I liked the fact that they had an input on the speaker and that you could turn them off without unplugging them. I wish they were better.

"Not bad for the price", These speakers are decent enough for laptops that do not generate enough volume through their internal speakers IF you are watching tv shows streamed online or for DVDs. However, I would recommend something more expensive if your laptop is your primary music system.
The sound does not handle bass at all well and that is a natural result of having no sub-woofer.

"Great Computer Speakers...a little big", The price was great, got them on Amazon. I guess I'm size challenged [I am a man, after all] but they just seem a little bigger than I visualized, don't have that much space on my desktop, they fill alittle more than I planned. But the sound is great. Do it.

"Amazing Speakers, lousy online description", Logitech X-140 2.0 Speakers I love the speakers they deliver a clear, true sound from the pc and from the MP3 player. They are slim, nice to look at and take up less space then the chunky speakers that come with most computers.

However, they need a 3.5 mm male to male cable to connect to the MP3 player and the website does not tell you that it is not included or that you even need one. I knew one was needed, unlike a lot of non computer savvy folks, but assumed that the cable was included. I ended up having to hit Wal-Mart to get the cable. Not a major issue, but still annoying.

"Great Value", Muy bueno! Great value for the price. I'm sure there are better quality computer speakers out there (more expensive), but for the money, I think these are hard to beat. The sound quality is terrific, deep, rich, sound (adjustable & 120 volt!). If you're looking for a medium priced, great sounding set of speakers for your computer, I don't think you can do better than this Logitech set. As a casual listener to satellite radio, I'm completely satisified with the sound quality.

"Either I got faulty speakers or they are crap...", I really wanted to love these speakers. I liked the design and people seemed to rate them highly. However, 10 minutes after they arrived I'm already looking into how to return them.

My first test was on my Fujitsu Lifebook A6110 laptop. The grin soon faded from my face when I began playing music through these speakers. They sound extraordinarily flat and muffled. Unless I boost the treble in the equalizer, they sound worse than my laptop speakers.

Figuring it may be this laptop, I grabbed a Dell Insprion 1420 and began playing the same song, getting the same results. I did one final test using my MP3 player (actually a camera, but playing through the cable I used on the computer) with once again, consistent results.

Perhaps there's something wrong with these because I seriously can't imagine people giving such horrific sounding speakers 4 and 5 star ratings. These were purchased to replaced my 10 year old speakers that came with some Dell and there's no way they sound even close to those. And yes, they too are only 2.0 as well.

"Not bad for the price", I use these speakers at work so I don't usually play them too loud. They sound just fine while I listen to pandora.com all day, and the hard metal grills prevent desktop object from puncturing the speaker cones. I like that they have AUX and headphone jacks on the front between the volume and tone knobs.

The only problem I have with mine is that they make a loud popping sound when I turn them on, but it's nothing I can't live with.

"Good Speakers", The speakers have been pretty good so far - very nice sound quality for size. I only wish they were a little more aesthetically pleasing.

"excellent", i bought these to hook up to my pc in my college dorm room, and for the price they are very good; very decent sounds for 30 bucks and free shipping; the bass does get distorted if you turn it up too high, but it has a pretty decent sound range and its definitely good for what i use on my desktop; music, watching movies, and games.
