"Great Surge Protector"
This protector is working as expected, with 2 sets of computer equipment, I think it is handling well. I especially love the spaced transformer outlets, I've got no problem with plugging my transformer plugs in with a row of plugs down the center.

"Great product, with a superb warranty!"
Compared to many of the other surge protector deals out there, this one provides the best protection (~4000 joules w/ a 1ns response time) and warranty coverage (up to $300,000) for your dollar.

I read every line of the fine print in the warranty, and Belkin will no-kidding provide you replacement gear (subject to Belkin inspection, but that's to be expected anyways, right?) as long as your equipment was connected (properly) to this surge protector during the surge/strike. Not that I want to ever have to test that warranty (e.g. have lightning strike my house, equipment) but it sure is nice to know I don't have to be paranoid every time the power flutters or blips!

Also, the thin profile and spacing of outlets makes this very easy to use! I highly recommend this as a way to protect your AV and computer equipment.

"Excellent surge protector"
Well built and well designed product. We haven't had a lightning strike or surge yet, but so far so good. It's nice to have room to plug in large plugs and adapters. The nice thing about Belkin is their Connected Equipment Warranty. This one in particular protects your advanced computers. Unfortunately, on the box it does not say what Advanced means. In a regular brick and mortar store, the Belkin protect for advanced computers starts at 2.0 GHZ CPU.

"I like it"
I have 1 outlet in my living room, so this thing was very necessary. I can plug in everything and have peace of mind.

"Nicely made, but need another lightning strike to see if it works."
After my home and office was hit by lightning, frying my phones, modems, I/O ports on printers and computers, hubs, DVD players and other miscellaneous electronics, I decided to buy a bunch of surge protectors.

Better late than never, I guess.

Since I cannot control Mother Nature and order up a lightning strike on demand, I'll have to wait to see how well my investment in these things pays off.

I truly hope it does sometime in the next fifty or so years.

What our customer's say!

"Best Surge Protector out there!", This is not just your everyday 5-dollar Wal-Mart surge protector. It comes with coaxial phone AND ethernet protection. I havn't had any surges/blackouts/brown-outs or lightning strikes in my area but this thing is worth its weight in gold. I love the spaced out ports so I can plug in all my transformers for my different computer peripherals. The cable management is awesome also! This the best surge protector out there!

"Does what it says.", Slim and sleek. Well built. Good length cable. Won't give it 5 stars because i don't know how well it will do against a surge. but i'm sure it will work. 5 unspoken stars. but 4 for sure. good buy.

"More like 8 outlets; otherwise a near no-brainer choice", Power strips come in all shapes and sizes these days. This Belkin is a rugged yet quite light and thin "slab," perhaps not sufficiently compact to fit easily in a musician's gig bag but ideal for tight spots behind book cases and even for wall mounting (with a handy metal guide for routing cords). Its ample surface area practically ensures that, regardless of the size of your power adapters ("wall warts"), all six of them are likely to fit into their designated spots in the outside two rows.

As for the remaining six receptacles running down the middle row, the space is far too narrow to accommodate additional power adapters. Moreover, if you're using right-angle plugs, figure on a single plug taking up the space of 2-3 receptacles. The Belkin is presently accommodating my six power adapters plus 2 right-angle plugs. Some consumers may be bothered by the "waste" of 3-4 receptacles, but I'm fairly content to have a strip that allows me to use two-thirds of its receptacles without the appearance of overcrowding.

This Belkin, unlike a slightly less expensive model by the same manufacturer, has a small but welcome "ON" light--a single illuminated "bead" at the top of the strip. It shows green when grounded and red when not. I'd be happier with more lights indicating successful connections, or even a larger, more conspicuous light allowing the owner to see at a glance the status of the power strip's connectivity. If you're willing to spend a bit more, a comparable strip by Monster (MP PC800) is not only better illuminated but has color-coded receptacles matched to colored stamps the consumer pastes to the plugs of his equipment (not a bad idea if you've ever found yourself confused about which cord goes to which electronic device). Moreover, each of the Monster unit's advertised 8 outlets is guaranteed to be available, in effect making it no less adaptable than the Belkin's advertised 12-outlet model.

Perhaps Belkin has another strip with more thoughtful spacing. If the manufacturer had extended the length of this one just enough to accommodate two additional power adapters, the center receptacles could have been spaced far enough apart to ensure the availability of all 6. Rather than advertise 12 outlets and give me 8, why not make it a 14-outlet strip with 14 usable receptacles? Otherwise, for most households with rooms that have become media centers, this 12-outlet model is a sensible, reliable, fairly-valued solution.

"Nicely designed 5 star In all ways", This Belkin Surge Protector Is the Mother of Surge Protectors!!
It can have 6 3prong outlets down the middle, then 3 on each side so you can plug In all the big ended stiff In your component system. for 12 total!! The phone and ethernet cables are a big plus too for one of the nicest I've ever seen even In all kinds hardware stores. Forget the junk In drug stores compared to this. I OWN 2 I bought a second one for my other system to replace what I was using there.
Then there's the deal with buying It and a 2 meter HDMI cable with It and you end up getting the HDMI cable for less than $2 which we will all will need a lot of In the future and some go bad so It's a phenominal deal altogether!!!! Very sweet deal gold tipped cable too. Not cheap silver.
You get 4156 joules and $300,000.00 In Protection!!!!

"Seems to work ", Exactly as pictured except the power cord is longer (a good thing). Only wish it had an universal off/on button.

"Best one I own", This is best surge protector I own. It's easy to plug everything into it -- even the big bulky ones.

"Great", Well built, low profile, lots of plugs with space for the large transformers. Can't ask for more than that in a surge protector!

"Updated surge protector", We have had a Belkin surge protector for many, many years. So many in fact I started thinking that surely surge protectors have made advances in the last 10 years (!) We now have expensive tech products including a HD 50" plasma tv, PC, and laptops. We also live in an area where we get a fair amount of electrical storms and power outages. I feel much safer with our investments attached to a superior surge protector. I was also impressed with the high ratings from other buyers.

"Best power strip out there.", I wish I had discovered this power strip sooner. It's without question the best power strip on the market. The first thing you will notice is that it has 12 outlets. I don't know of any other power strip (besides the other Belkin one with the pivoting outlets) that has this many outlets. Although I don't own the pivot-plug one, I think this one (this one = power strip without pivoting outlets) is better. From now on I'll call the strip without pivoting outlets the flat one. The flat one has 3 outlets on each side that are designed to accomodate big power adapters. I believe they're called Blockspace outlets. The pivot-plug strip tries to substitute tilting outlets for the Blockspace outlets and it doesn't quite work. The pivoting outlets are still close together and tilting them only does so much. There is a review on the pivot-plug strip's page backing this up. And in my opinion, who needs tilting outlets anyway? Plus the flat one has a longer cord.

Anyway, about the power strip I'm actually reviewing. This is an amazing strip. Not only does it have the 12 outlets (6 down the middle, 3 Blockspace outlets on each side), but it can also protect coaxial lines, ethernet lines, and phone lines. It also has a cord management clip for organizing all the cords. The reason this power strip is so nice is because it's well designed. Things that are well designed are pretty rare these days since everything's sold in Walmart and other low price stores.

Pros:
-12 outlets
-has space for big adapters
-tells you not only whether or not your stuff is protected but also tells you if the outlet the strip is plugged into isn't grounded
-10 ft. cord
-cord is angled so that it's flat against the wall when plugged in
-has a cable management clip
-can protect coaxial, ethernet and phone lines

Cons:
-none that I can think of.

I always like it when I come across a product that pretty much wipes out all of its competition. This power strip is one of those products. I very highly recommend this power strip.

"Great Product", This is easily the best surge protector for the money. I've still yet to figure out why it has twelve recepticles, but those combined with the coax recepticle and the 3,960 joule rating make this unit ideal. The right angle plug and ten foot cord make its placement easy and convenient.
