"Glad I have this", I'm an avid scrapper, I'll admit, especially after my daughter was born. I'm new to editing pictures but I'm pretty computer savy. To me this software is easy to understand. I will admit there were times I would get stuck, mainly because the version I bought did not come with a manuel. I don't know the proper photography terms so looking up in the help menu didn't always work for me. So I bought Photoshop Elements for Dummies and that helped A LOT! Now I love this software. It's so much fun. It does everything that a scrapper (great for family photos) would want it to. From erasing the background to creating brushes. It's endless in what you can do with this software. For people that don't do photography, editing, etc, you will not be disappointed in this software.

"Adobe PhotoElements 5.0", Upgraded from Adobe PhotoElements 2.0. Great photo editing product. I use it to edit images for our website. Very powerful industry standard. Still learning software. Plan to buy third party manual. Need to find out how to prevent the Adobe Photo Downloader from loading when Windows starts.

"Photoshop Elements 5", I Purchased to use in a Video game desiging clothing.
Since I had no Previous knowledge of Photoshop it was easy to Learn. I followed Tutorials and Voila' Im doing Everything now.
I can Do way more than I ever dreamed of with the Layering and effects.

"Not What I expected", As the description said the CD was not boxed. Apparently it was meant as part of a software package so I don't know if it is a full version or not. I had purchased less expensive photo editing software in the past with more bells and whistles. Had heard so much about this Adobe Photo Elements that I was looking forward to having my copy. I'm not sure how much I will be using this one.

"A little confusing, but", I purchased a $25 OEM version here a couple of months ago. That means it came without a manual - but that's OK as my PE1, 2 and 3 had manuals - and while some may think the Adobe manuals are fine, a good aftermarket version is much better.

I chose PE5 over 6 as there have been some PC interface problems reported plus the gray boundaries are tough to see menus. And there are only very minor changes in V6, Then, best of all, V5 was $75 cheaper!!

It's a great photo processing program, especially for those that don't need the complexity of full blown Photoshop CS3 but is taking me a while to get used to it after the earlier versions. There are some hidden items that I'm just starting to find, but have enjoyed working with it anyhow.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Little Improvement", I have owned and used most of the versions of Photoshop Elements. Version 4.0 was a significant improvement over the earlier editions. Version 5.0 does not offer any noticeable improvement. Adobe has steadily increased the price since the first version, but with the exception of Elements 4.0, has not provided commensurate improvements.

"Overwhelming Capability", This a great product for those who want to enhance great photographs and for those who want to mainipulate their photos into painting-like impressions. It can do it all, but it is not easy to learn. I suggest a course in how to use the many elements.

"I never used it", I bought this because I couldn't find any version on my new computer, i.e. Adobe Photo Deluxe. I have been repairing old photos and scanning prints into my computer to archive. After some looking, I found the original software I never used and installed it. This is a piece of software that really fixes photos and I'm anxious to see what all it can do. Adobe makes good products and this is one I've used on other people's computers and am very impressed with.

"New Version 1 week later!", I did not appreciate a new version (6.0)designed for Vista being available 1 week after my purchase in October, 2007. There was no indication of the an upcoming proper "Vista" designed version on the Adobe website or Amazon.

"Pretty good program", I used Photoshop for years before I retired. I bought this program with some doubt on its capabilities. I was surprised at all the things it can do for the price. This program is ok, except I do have some problems burning slide shows that I created with it on CDs and DVDs.
