What our customer's say!
"Nightfall", We went ahead and got both Nightfall and Factions at the same time from Amazon... using the ground delivery. Let's just say that it got here in like... two days. So at least you can say they have timely delivery. Also, watch out for extra account keys in the boxes. Sometimes they pack two. That's how I got my extra Factions account. xP
"Better Than Guild Wars Prophecies", If you're an experienced MMORPG player, you can skip Guild Wars Prophecies and start with Guild Wars Nightfall first. You can always get Prophecies later and then connect the two campaigns together. The reason is Nightfall is more fun. Your character can level up to 20 (the cap) faster, the loot is more interesting and has higher values so you can buff your character(s) better. The drawback is the enemies are tougher than Prophecies. What Nightfall allows you to get that Prophecies won't is Heroes. Unlike the Henchmen in Prophecies, having Heroes in your party you can upgrade their gear, upgrade their armor, etc. just like you could do with your own character. Heroes also can level up to 20 like you can usually at or near the same level your are. On the contrary, you can't upgrade any armor or skills for Henchmen and their levels are usually far lower than 20 and can get killed off very quickly. If you have both Prophecies and Nightfall and linked them, your Heroes can travel between campaigns with you retaining all their gear and skills and levels. And what's more, online gaming is completely free unlike World of Warcraft.
"Wonderfuly LONG and so much to do!", The new classes actually ended up being the most popular by far, aside from factions assassins who are great as well. Nightfall offers so much land to explore, ask anyone and they will tell you, its very very long! In comparison to factions or the extremely short Eye of the north (GW:EN).
Dervish are by far the best new class, their skills are deadly, and not to mention very cool. Paragons the spear carriers are great, however dervish outmatch them, unless you make a good second class for your paragon.
The Heroes are the best by far, you can control them, tell them where to go, make skill sets like your own, give them weapons (even ones customized for your character only work as well) It is possible when you get far in the game to give them cooler armor. With each level they gain their armor increases, and you can add runes and insignias etc. WONDERFUL PART ******** if you get them cooler armor (all hero armor is same protection) the runes or whatever was on the armor, goes onto any new armor, which can be switched at any time at a hero armorer. You cannot add your armor to them.
They are way smarter than henchmen, by far, and there are so many heroes to attain. As far as a storyline, its great, the titles are fun as well. You even are given the option to skip tutorial level and get right into it, you can go right into your guild hall the second you make the new person, no waiting no places to go first ( this requires actually belonging to a guild first ).
Hope I helped, I would have loved to known this stuff!
"Guild Wars Nightfall -PC", This Game was bought for my 11 yr. old son and he really liked it. Our friend's kids play this game so, my son was looking forward to it. The game installed on our Dell Desktop with 512 MB memory with no problems. Our graphics card is nVidia 128MB PCI which handles the game beautifully. I would recommend this game.
"guild wars nightfall", Excellent story line and lots of action play. As good or better than its two predecessors. Some of the missions were a little too tough in my opinion, but I am sure others would find them just fine.

"Great MMO, its free too.", This is the first time I've tried out an MMO on my own. I've played WoW and Guild Wars at other times, but have owned neither until now.
The only reason i gave 4 stars is because it took quite some time to get accustomed to. I had a friend that turned me on to the game, and he gave me some help on how to do things within.
"Nightfall is incredible!", Nightfall seems to do everything right. The biggest addition to this stand alone campaign are Heroes. Heroes are computer controlled sidekicks. But unlike the other henchmen from before, you get to customize them with skills you have unlocked through each campaign as well as equip them with weapons. They are versatile and probably one of the biggest reasons to pick up this great title.
The story is great as well. It starts fairly small and ends up taking you across all of Elona.
Lots of different weapon types, customization, and great gameplay, this game is a must have for any fan of prior Guild Wars campaigns or anyone who enjoyed the Diablo games or just want something fun to play thats action and an RPG with plenty of Player Versus Player opportunities.
"One of The Best Titles out there", I will not extend this review too much since I'm in no way an expert on MMO type games, mostly I've always played RTS and RPG games since they allow me to play against a computer oponent following a story and IF I want to, go online and play against human oponents. So my first experience with an MMO has been great. I did try out the other popular MMO out there as I am a fan of the Warcraft series RTS games, and I found it a little too cartonish for my taste, plus the fact that you run solo most of the time unless your friends come online and of course I really don't like to pay a monthly fee, that compels me to play every day to get my moneys worth. I think the business model for Nightfall is really great, is an MMO alright but they don't charge monthly fees or force you to buy any of the other campaigns in order to experience the full game and it's story line. Speaking strictly about the game, the graphics are absolutely stunning and the game play is really easy on the beginner (such as myself). It does take a while to get used to the keyboard controls but once you get it, you'll never lose it. The introduction of henchmen and heroes really add a more RTS feeling to the game since you have to rely on others and in strategy in order to finish some of the game's quests. The inventory system is intuitive and fun to use since the Xunlai Agent adds a feeling of real world to the game. I've seen that the game is really popular as there's always people in the towns or outposts as well as NPCs that may offer some relaxing stories. It is really easy to get to the level 20 cap just by doing some sidequests (I recommend doing this in Istan since the Kourna part of the main story can prove a little bit too much if you're level 15 or below) and that helps a lot to focus solely on the main story of the game and stop worrying about your current level. The main story is well told and it is suited for any character profesion without distinguishing between characters. I will not review the PvP part of the game since that is not what I'm attacted to at the moment but I must say it's nice to have guilds and the possibility to fight with each other when the time comes. Overall I would really recommend this game to anyone considering a good and somewhat addicting MMO, I will also get the other two campaigns in the future as well as the Eye of The North expansion since I already saw the magnificent quality of this title. Amazon shipping and price was overall great too, and the game came in flawless condition.
"fun but way to short (only 20 lvls)", its a great game but with only 20 lvls and dosent take long to git to but the game play is good the is story so so over an ok game not the best but good non the less not recommended
"I Need a Hero!", Guild Wars: Nightfall is the third chapter of the Guild Wars saga, and a welcome relief to those who weren't happy with Factions. There are some tweaks that incorporate some of the second outing, but offers its own twist to the gameplay.
This particular world (Elona) is set in an African-esque setting, and introduces the player to two new classes to the eight previous. The Dervish, a melee fighter that also incorporates a bit of spellcasting, and the Paragon, a spellcaster that incorporates a bit of ranged fighting. Those who have played either of the first two chapters (or crazed individuals like my husband and myself, both campaigns) will find the setup familiar-- PvP (Player vs Player), GvG (Guild vs Guild) or PvE (the player follows a storyline that involves completion of the smaller quests and larger missions).
Like Factions, the storyline will branch off at set points, and have the completion catagories of Standard, Expert, and Masters. Unlike Factions, most of the missions aren't based only on time-- you have the primary mission objective (good enough for the Standard award and you can go forward with the storyline) and special bonus objectives (depending on how much you've completed gives you the Expert or the Masters award). This alone we found as a great improvement, as we found the timed missions sometimes very hard to get the Masters rating.
One of the best features is the addition of Heros (with many apologies to Bonnie Tyler, how I came up with the title of this review). Heros are aquired through quests, and are NPCs that you can control. That means that you can set the levels of their different attributes, give them really cool weapons, tweak their armor, and give them skills that can help you complete quests much easier then relying on the henchmen that you can still get in the towns/outposts. You can get a wide variety of professions, and twice you get a choice between two heros-- the one you choose can affect your gameplay in PvE, so choose wisely. Another feature to Nightfall is the use of inscriptions for weapons, and insignias for armor.
The only real problem I've had with the game is that there's a bit more grinding (going into the explorable areas over and over again to kill monsters) then I thought I had to do in either game, which slows down the storyline for me. But it's a small quibble, as I've found the game enjoyable overall, and wouldn't hesitate to recommend this game to anyone who enjoys RPing online.
