"Logitech VX Revolution Cordless Laser Mouse"
Love this mouse. Functions well and smooth movement. USB receiver hides in the mouse when not in use which also turns off/on the mouse automatically. Great feature.

-1 star because the buttons (left/right click) are somewhat (minor) stiff to click.

"Best Mouse I have ever used"
This is truly the best mouse I have ever used. It moves so smoothly, it's great. The extra buttons on the top and side provide customization that increases my productivity while on the web. The scroll wheel has the click and fast setting, both are really great. I don't use the fast setting as much just because it is so fast! The USB hub for the mouse is very small and I barely notice it. The mouse is very comfortable to touch and use for many hours straight.
I highly recommend this product-definitely worth the price!

"A serviceable mouse on the go"
I first bought the Revolution because I wanted a mouse to play WoW on my MacBookPro. I chose a cordless mouse to maximize my mobility. The Revolution connects to the computer with a small dongle that sticks out about an inch. Most of the time this wasn't a problem, but one one occasion Indy ran by and knocked over my laptop. The computer was fine (thank you MagSafe adapter!), but the USB dongle snapped clean off and I had to replace the mouse.

The Revolution has a nice form factor. I have small hands, and the Revolution is a smaller mouse. It is ergonomically designed and I never have any wrist pain when using it, even after hours and hours of scrolling and clicking. It is reasonably accurate without noticeable lag. the "Hyper-scroll" feature is great for heavy surfing and certain games. The battery life is reasonable - I have to change the two AAs about once every 3-4 months.

"A good mouse packed with features"
Pros:
- very smooth scroll wheel
- ergonomic feel, somehow my wrist hurts less using this mouse
- decent battery life
- excellent precision
- a variety of mouse button such as side scroll, search, zoom, forward, back.
- Wireless receiver for USB port stores inside mouse

Cons:
- not all of the mouse button features work. They are convenient but I am not going to go through all of the trouble to try and find out how to program and assign these buttons
- laser tracking can get kinda weak depending on surface. I had a table that was not smooth, like a matte surface and the laser could not interpret the movements accurately.

overall, i still thought it was a very good mouse, but a bit pricey.

"Not a mouse for power users"
Honestly, perhaps the most pathetic mouse I have ever handled. And I'm surprised. I did a lot of research before buying it, and was expecting a good mouse. I have used the Logitech MX 1000, the very best mouse they have ever made bar-none, and the LX7, not a bad mouse either, but I lost the receiver for it, and needed a new one.

So, the main issue with this mouse. Control. You have none. The thing just bounces all over the show with a mind of its own. Scrolling is a total and complete joke. There's a profound lack of consistency in anything the mouse does. You should be able to get used to a mouse to the point that you know exactly what hand movement is needed to click any spot on your screen. Not with this mouse, it's all guess work. Clicks often don't register, and when clicking and dragging, the cursor often just stays still as you're dragging the mouse.

So this mouse is going back today. Sorry Amazon, not your fault, but if you sell a crappy item, you're asking for it.

And yes, I do find it odd that all these reviews are so good here. Perhaps they are Windows PC users who are simply not use to the level of control and pin-point accuracy we ARE used to on the Mac.

"logitech vx revolution", pros:
i like the scroll wheel design
use it everytime for web browsing

cons:
middle click is difficult to use due to the design
sensitivity(dpi) is too low only 800dpi
lagging if i use on a high resolution monitor
not ideal to use for gaming
battery consumption is much lower than it advertised

conclusion:

personally dont like this mouse
but the wheel and ergnomic design is very usefull
planing to buy a new one
maybe logitech mx1100

"Nice mouse but disappointing range", I have bought this mouse both for my laptop and desktop. I like the mouse but have trouble using it with my desktop. Basically it is very hard too use at about 6 feet range (clear from any obstacles and not too close to any other device that might cause interference). The movement is not smooth and clicks are often dropped. I really expected more from this higher end mouse.

I'm now using Comfort Duo which works fine in the same set-up.

"Great mouse but the wheel doesn't get it quite right.", This is a great mouse. I was stuck using a Mighty Mouse for my iMac for awhile. I replaced it with this mouse and it's really night and day compared to the Mighty Mouse. The form factor is great. It's not a big mouse but it's not overly small either. It fits my hand very well. I feel pain in my hand when i use mice or play videogames too long. I've used this mouse for hours straight and do not feel the pain i usually would. So ergonomics are top notch.

Battery life seems to be great. One AA battery will last you at least 3 or 4 months which i can definitely live with. It's nice that the mouse turns itself off after you turn off or put your computer to sleep. This will do a good job in saving the juice in the battery.

All of the buttons feel great and are properly placed. I didn't feel like i had to reach for any of the buttons, and i haven't clicked a button on accident either.

So i mostly have praise for this mouse, but the wheel just doesn't get it quite right for me. It's funny how the wheel is the most advertised thing on this mouse, but it's the one and only thing that's flawed. I'm used to a sturdier scroll wheel. The VX Revolution wheel just feels kind of clumsy. Scrolling increments are too pronounced so just setting your finger on the wheel will move the page you're looking at. Sideways scrolling is a great feature, but i don't get that feeling that i'm ONLY scrolling horizontally. The scroll wheel also lets you switch to a endless spin for long documents or pages. It definitely works as advertised but i don't feel a need to change the mode on the bottom of the mouse just for this unless i really need to. Mind you, it's very simple to change the setting on the bottom of the mouse. I also don't recommend a casual page scroll in this mode either because it's uncontrollable. One last thing about the scroll wheel. No matter how much i play with the settings, i don't see what the Acceleration feature does. I changed it from slow to fast, but i don't see any difference.

So overall, great mouse with a somewhat clumsy scroll wheel. If you like the Microsoft mice scroll wheels, for example, you might also be disappointed in the VX scroll wheel. It's not a deal breaker by any means, but it should be sturdier in my opinion.

"Fantastic Mouse", Fantastic mouse! I have a number of Logitech products in the past, and I believe that I can say that I have never had a problem with any of them. So please if you are thinking about getting this mouse - please don't hesitate as it is a great product.

I have it connected to my desktop, but I am thinking of getting a second one for my laptop.

"Perfect for my hands", I've been using this mouse for over three months now. It is the most comfortable mouse I have ever owned and also the most technically useful. To give you an idea of the size of my hands, I can play an octave on the piano easily, but a ninth is a stretch. If your hands are bigger or smaller than that, then this mouse may not fit you, but if you're a one-octave type of person, this is probably going to work very well. I am aware of ergonomics when working at the computer: this is a well-designed mouse which is comfortable for me to use over long stretches of time.

There are a lot of extra gadgets on the mouse, some of which I use and some of which I don't. No biggie. You get lots of choices and the nice thing is that buttons you don't use much don't get in the way of those you do. Technically, this mouse should work for most people.

Battery life? Pretty good. I changed the battery at about 3 months.

"Review 1", The mouse was defective & has not worked at all.
Product needs to be returned for a refund.

"There are no better mouse that will surpass this KING!!!", It's worth the money,it's an investment that will put a smile on your face when you order it, when the package arrives, when you unbox it, when you get the feel of it, and when you fully utilize it. That's right, I'm absolutely obsessed with this gadget. I even use it for my desktop, despite the fact that I used to detest wireless mouse. But Logitech proved me wrong, and I absolutely adore this mouse. I dare to vouch for this mouse, you will not be disappointed. VX revolution rules!!!

"Love it! Mac...", With 300+ reviews already given, I reckon all the important info and issues have been discussed. So, I will simply say, as a MacBook user, I love this Mouse. It's not the first wireless mouse I've used, but thus far, it is definitely the best. As the product's documentation suggested for Mac users, I downloaded the software from the given website---with no problem, and I was using my new mouse with no worries in just a few minutes. I also purchased an Imak Ergo Beads wrist pillow too, which is very comfortable support. The mouse and pillow make a great combination.

I like the function and design of the Logitech Mouse, and I am glad that the company made this fine product compatible with Macs. In fact, I never liked scroll wheels until I had this mouse. Now, I am a fan of that feature! LOL

"very good mouse", I've had this mouse for about a month. All in all, it's been great, with only a few issues. The mouse tracks extremely well on nearly any surface, and is accurate enough for photoshop work. The back/forward buttons are well placed, and the main buttons have good feedback. The zoom and search features seem fairly useless and require installing the software to work.

In my opinion, the vx revolution's worst aspect is the scroll wheel. The free-spinning setting is difficult to use as it lacks any form of precision, though it can scroll a fairly infinite number of pages at a time. When fully engaged, the gearing on the scroll wheel provides an excessive amount of feedback. I generally use the "midpoint" position on the adjuster (which is prone to inadvertant adjustments), but this setting is not ideal for long documents.

The USB receiver is quite large compared to logitech's "nano" series mice, but the vx revolution does include a useful storage compartment. Inserting or ejecting the mouse turns the power off or on, respectively.

"Best Notebook Mouse that I have used", I have used quite a few notebook mice over the years(microsoft and other logitech) and he VX Revolution is by far the best. I currently have 3 of these mice and use them with an IBM laptop (using the logitech setpoint software) and 2 Apple laptops (powerbook G4 and macbook). I don't utilize the logitech software on the Apple machines as I have had problems with it, I utilize Steermouse and it works great (costs @ $20).

The main thing that I like about this mouse is the size/shape and the placement of the buttons. With the software I can configure the button actions for the way that I work.

I can't recommend this mouse higher.
