"excellent!"
highly recommended. i had the driving force pro before this, it worked well but finally wore out after 2 years. this unit feels much more solid and the shifter/clutch setup takes some getting used to but once you get thye hang of it it makes gameplay that much more realistic.

"Hot Wheel!"
Puts never-before-possible realism into driving/racing games. If you're really "into" cars, you've got to have one of these.

"best wheel on the market! here's why..."
This is the best wheel because it has a six-speed shifter plus reverse! it also has gas, brake, and clutch pedal.full 900 degree wheel rotation. real leather rapped wheel. metal gas, brake, clutch pedal and metal paddle shifters! force feedback is strong and very realistic. the only con is that the stick feels a little light and needs more resistance. Overall this is without a doubt the best wheel I ever owned.

"Good buy for driving simulator games"
Best wheel for driving simulator games.. the only thing i don't like is the shifter... It feels "cheap"..

"OMG! ", If you're into driving games like I am then this is a must have item. Sure it's expensive. But this device really gives you control that you just can't get from a gamepad or other steering wheel. I used to have a Thrustmaster steering wheel and this thing FULLY blows it away. The only gripe I have is setting it up with the rFactor game that comes with it. It's virtually impossible! After a lengthy internet search I found a custom config file that had all the settings for me. If not for that file, there would be no way I could configure the controller for that game. It's really that hard. I don't blame Logitech though, I blame the rFactor developers. It works perfectly with GT Legends and only took a few minutes to configure for that game. If you can afford it, get it. You won't be disappointed.

"Best for the price", I bought my G25 in February 08 and have been using it very frequently since then. The games I play with the G25 are GTR2, RACE 07, Live for Speed, and most recently Gran Turismo 5 Prologue on the PS3.

The wheel itself is great, and although it only has four buttons (including the paddle shifters) there are a lot of buttons on the shifter.

The pedals are equally solid. Some reviewers have commented that the brakes are not realistic. The simple fact is that threshold braking is always going to be harder because you're not in a real car. There's no g-force to give you a sense of how hard you're braking. There's no "feel". For what it is, the brake pedal provides great resistance so threshold braking is as realistic as it can get. The clutch requires minimal effort and is very short. You won't confuse it with a real car's clutch. When properly supported, it's very realistic. You obviously can't feel it bite, but in Live For Speed it's easy to hold the car on a hill using the clutch (although why you would do this is beyond me). It's not an on-off switch. Unfortunately Live For Speed is the only game with proper clutch support that I have played. Gran Turismo is the worst, with it being very much on/off.

Compared to a real car pedal placement is a bit lousy for heel and toeing because the accelerator is close to the brake pedal even though it's spaced farther than the brake pedal is to the clutch. Still, you get used to it and once you know where to place your foot it's as easy as it is in a real car.

The real issue comes with the shifter. Very minimal effort is required to shift, and combined with very short throws means it feels toy-like. It can be flicked into place with a finger. It doesn't feel satisfying when the gears slot into place. Still, it works and is apparently quite durable even though it feels flimsy. It still works even though I get a bit "spirited" with it when I'm immerssed in a race. Still, this is nit-picking to be honest. I have to mention that it's poorly made, but I wouldn't return it for my money if given the chance. The bottom line is that when driving I enjoy myself much more than I did with paddles and auto-clutch.

This might seem like a lot of money for a wheel, but when you consider what you get when you pay for your money compared to other wheels it's a great product. The force feedback is excellent, the wheel itself is nice and large with 900 degrees of rotation (2.5 turns lock to lock), the paddles are more solid than on some cars, and the pedals are the best there is. The six speed shifter isn't really a big deal.

"best wheel out there!!!!!", this is by for the best wheel I have found. I have a ps3 and had to buy play seats evolution and wow in front of my Mitsubishi 73 in 1080p its a race simulator. it was shipped fast and received fast. also you will enjoy the NEW LEATHER SMELL. yep thats right new car smell included. so don't hesitate you wont be disappointed.

"G25-best in its class",
The G25 is my very first video game wheel and I have been playing driving gameS for many years. Needless to say the transition was uneasy. After a few minutes of using it, I was ready to return it and never have another steering wheel but I gave it a chance and it was well worth it. Once you get used to it, it is very nice with many features that other wheels don't have. First and foremost the clutch, really puts you in the driver seat. You can definitely stall the car if you're not good at it. So if it is your case and you're not so attracted to this feature then go for the DFGT or other wheel with just brake and accelerator. The option of switching between H-shift or inline is neat and you can also use paddle shifting for F1 cars and newer japanese cars. This option allows you to shift through all the gears, 7/8 for some cars, which is a remedy to the only 5 speeds/reverse with the H-shifter. The pedals are very nice, sturdy and solid, made out of steel, no plastic in here!!!. The steering wheel has a good size, also made out of steel and is wrapped in leather all-around. Equipped with all the buttons you need for PS2 or PS3. It has attaching clips on the steering wheel and shifter, which is also wrapped in leather.
Overall, excellent quality, really nice finish and really does its jobs. Prepare for sore arms and shoulders if you use the force feedback option, which goes from 1 to 5. It auto calibrates when you turn on your game system and when you start a game. Compatible with many driving games for PS2 and PS3. Would recommend an evolution playseat or Obutto to complement it. No complaints and definitely no regrets.
ONCE YOU GO LOGITECH, YOU WILL OVERTAKE.....

"Solid wheel, you get what you pay for!", Having owned a cheap MadCatz wheel for the older Xbox, it was time for me to try this top of the line G25. Love Logitech products, so I couldn't see why this one couldn't be good...

Having played GTR2, rFactor for a bunch of days, all I can say is AMAZING. The clutch and the force-feedback is really great. The main reason why I bought this wheel is because of the clutch, and the 6-speed H-shift pattern.... makes driving a true pleasure, and the games that require a clutch that make full and serious use of the G25, makes driving really exciting and immersive.

The quality of the wheels is top notch, having owned some Momo wheels in real cars (Like a Subaru) ... this one feels like the real thing.

Great construction quality. Clamps down to desk solidly, and pedals have grip on hardwood surfaces. Haven't tried it on carpet.

For a true driving simulator, don't miss on this wheel. You gotta have it to use the 6-speed manual and clutch, though, otherwise, you might as well get the other cheaper wheel.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Next best thing to actually racing", I bought the Logitech G25 because if connects to ps2/3 consoles as well as a PC. As for the wheels performance, what can I say it is thee best game wheel available! Games integration right now are not as vast as I would like but I think it's growing.

"Not nearly as good as other reviews would have you believe", After purchasing this wheel, I don't know why it gets so many overwhelmingly good reviews. The G25 is poorly constructed, has some design issues and didn't meet my expectations.

The wheel itself consists of a plastic housing with a metal wheel. This sounds nice until you realize that the wheel and paddles are just stainless steel stampings with unfinished edges. The center button on the wheel fell off when I removed the protective film. The "leather" doesn't feel like the real thing and the whole wheel is thin and hard. There are only two buttons on the wheel, meaning you have to reach over to the shifter to navigate your way through the game menus. The real issue with the wheel itself is the gear mechanism used for the force feedback. You can really feel the notches as the wheel rotates, which does NOT emulate a real steering feel. Logitech should have used a finer pitch gear for smoother movement (or used a belt drive like Fanatec.)

The shifter is the bane of this wheel. Its all plastic and the gates have no resistance. It feels like a toy. Because the action is so terrible, I usually opt for the paddle shifters just to avoid frustration.

The pedals are probably the best part of the setup. The pedals feel nice and the action is reasonable. The only gripe I have is with the brake pedal. It isn't progressive like a real brake pedal, and only becomes firm once you bottom it out.

The unit attaches to the console or PC using a USB cable. The cable is short and doesn't allow you to mount the wheel very far from the source.

Overall, I don't feel the wheel is worth the price. The problems detract from the driving experience and make it feel like you are using a toy versus a true simulator. I bought this wheel based on all the reviews posted here, but in my opinion the wheel is not deserving of all the praise. I would try this wheel out in person before shelling out the cash for it. Your money would be better spent elsewhere.

"Excellent Wheel!", The wheel is more expensive compared to the others. But its definitely well worth it. I brought it for GT5 Prologue and it works like a charm. I haven't gotten used to using the clutches yet. But everything else is very solidly built. Turns are very accurate with the 900 degree support.

Cons are it doesn't have a PS button for the PS3 and there were no labelling what so ever what the buttons supposed to be. Other than that, its still an excellent wheel and I would definitely recommed anyone enjoy racing games.

"grea whee;", I was skeptical at first. recieved the product and wasnt very surprised on how well this product is made. setup is easy and works very well...

"From Driving Force Pro to G25!! Wow, what a difference.", This G25 is simply AMAZING. It receives 5 star votes for every category except value. This wheel's build quality is superb except the shifter like everyone has mentioned. This received a 4 star for value because come on.... $299msrp $220ish on every site? This is sooooo expensive.

I upgraded from a Driving Force Pro,which I got for $70 so upgrading to something that was 3x as expensive took a long "sit on it" time. I have wanted this wheel since it was first introduced and then after 2 years of "sitting on it" I finally bought it. Driving racing sims with the clutch adds a whole new level of fun. The DFP was good, probably the best before the G25 came along. Too bad the DFP had plastic pedals that don't give you a lot of resistance, a force feed back motors that gives you a lot of noise.

The G25 has amazing feel to it. The leather itself is worth some money in my book. Both the wheel and the gear shfiter are leather wrapped! The paddle shifters are aluminum that gives it a better feel than the DFP's buttons. When you shift with the g25 paddle shifter, it feels more smooth and sturdy.

The best part about the G25 is the pedals. They have amazing quality and feel to it. The pedals are also aluminum so they definitely feels better. They have little balls on them just like real pedals in my car. The best part is, the difference in resistance among the three pedals sealed the deal for me. The Gas pedal is sort of loose, you can lightly stomp on it and make it go all the way to the ground. The clutch is heavier than the gas pedal but the length is the same. In my car, the clutch goes far down!!! The brake is the party piece!! It has such strong resistance that compared to the DFP, it is so much easier to control. Example: driving Laguna Seca in GTR2 approaching the corkscrew, in the DFP, I'd brake hard but I always have to pull my foot back so I don't lock up the wheels. In the G25, with the resistance, I just have to push down with a certain but firm force, then push down even further for that last little bit of braking power.

I know a reviewer had said "clutch doesn't seem to do anything." Well in my games, the clutch does do something and it's important.

In GTR2, you can enable the clutch but it'll still let you shift it into gears if you don't clutch in. The problem is when you're down shifting while in clutch mode. When you downshift without clutching in, you wheels are going to lock and make you spin out, probably not what you want on the Nurburing. Secondly, if you can heel-toe for downshifting, it makes the transition so much smoother. Also if you are not moving and in gear without clutching in(obvious for those of us who drive a manual), it's going to stall! Of course if you don't turn clutch mode on, the computer game would do that for you and then you might as well just buy a Driving force pro.

In Test Drive Unlimited, clutching is absolutely essential. If you drive a manual in that game, and not clutch when you shift up or down, you're not going to get in gear then! Also if you don't work on your footwork you're going to stall the car when driving from a stop. For some unfortunate reason you spin out and don't clutch in, your car's going to stall too. This stuff makes it so fun for me!

Highly recommend this if you have $220ish to burn. (sell your GT4, sell your DFP, sell a couple of lemonades...)

Games I play: GTR2, Richard Burns Rally(with RSRBR08), Test Drive Unlimited, and Live For Speed.

Pros: the feel is everything!!!!
Leather wrapped wheel and shift knob
Brake and Clutch pedals resistance
Paddle shifters
900 degrees
PC compatible!!!! PS2 and PS3 too but I dont own them
Gear box can be a H-shifter with 6 speed + Reverse OR set it to sequential!!!! Up to you!!!

Cons:
Price - slightly more than what I could afford but I'm skipping lunches to afford this
Shifter is flimsy - Didn't go into this too much in the review but shifter isn't like a real car. You put very little effort in moving the shifter. Too much and you could break it.

Honestly this is the best steering wheel I've ever played with.
DFP is good, like climbing and winning king of the hill. But with the G25, it's like climbing a mountain! Yep, that much difference!
