"Another great CoD offering!", There is not much left to be said for the Call of Duty series, on any platform or in any manifestation. Call of Duty 3 for the PS2 is no exception. I was a little bit skeptical at first, having been so used to the first two offerings on the same platform. The gameplay changed somewhat, but in most cases for the better, and I was able to very quickly adapt to the new format.

One of the biggest factors for me in choosing a game is it's replay value. I've never found that to be an issue with the CoD series, and CoD3 does not disappoint on this level. Granted, it did take me a while to get used to this game, but once I got the hang of the new controls (very minor changes), the stories, graphics, action and overall game easily drew me back for multiple go-arounds.

The nicest change I think they have incorporated is the ability to do what the enemy AI was always able to do: throw back grenades! Yes, now you too, the player, can grab grenades that are close to you and fling them back towards your foe. It was one thing if neither side could, but it always seemed strange to me that the enemy would have this ability and the player did not.

One of the most intriguing features of the content of the game is the inclusion of the Polish and Canadian forces. We've probably all seen and played those games that let us alternate between American and British forces (and often Russian, too). For the first time that I have seen (definitely a first for the CoD series), you can hop into a tank with a Polish crew, and fight with the Canadian infantry. The American and British forces are there as well, either with the 29th Infantry (the old 'blue & gray' division), or the British SAS.

Since the action is contained in one section of the Normandy invasion, the Falaise Gap, you are able to play as each of these groups in their separate missions to disrupt and destroy the enemy operations. Of course, there are multiple characters to get attached to, some for sheer humor value, and others that seem to have some historical basis.

Overall, this game keeps the great Call of Duty tradition alive, and sets the standard for WWII FPS (first person shooter) games, and really for FPS games in all genres. This is a must-have for CoD fans, WWII gaming afficionados, FPS enthusiasts, and anyone who is looking for a superb quality game at a great price. Enjoy!

"Call Of Duty 3-The best war game ever!", In my 11-year-old opinion i think that Call Of Duty 3 is the best war game ever,because the game has the best graphics I'VE(notice the capitals in i've.) ever seen.It takes place in Saint Lo World war 2.It has hero songs that sound totally AWESOME!!!You get to play as different nationalitys like the French,the Americans,and the Polish.You get to drive Vehicles and play in a tank.You get to experience what war heros went through to defeat the Nazis.You get to play in different skill levels like easy,medium,and hard.When you beat the game you are accessed to the stats of the people you play with and Axis and Allies' guns.At the last level you get to play with Bazookas and Flaks.Like i said,i think Call of Duty 3 is the best war game EVEEEEEEER!!!!!

"GREAT WAR GAME!", This game is awesome! The story is based on actual combat. The actors actually discussed the game with Veterans! Guys who were there! The graphics are great, you get to not only run around killing Germans, but you get to drive tanks, jeeps, etc. This game is awesome! Make sure at the end you watch the stories of the Veterans who shared their experiences with the game makers and role players. Today is Veterans day, and I am proud to be an American and thank the Men and Women who have served and gave the ultimate sacrifice so I be able to chill and play a cool game like this one! Semper Fi!

"LOTS OF FUN.....AND EASY!", I enjoy playing video games, particuarly military style games. I do not consider myself an excellent player by any means. With that being said, this game will deffinitely please the novice player as well as the experienced one. The game has many save points so that if you are killed you can pick up from where you left off without having to go back to the beginning. I truely enjoyed both the graphics and sound....not to mention the cut scenes where the acting was very good. I would highly recommend this game.

"A Super Intense and Awesome Game Eddie Crumb Lancaster,KY", I own COD Finest Hour and Big Red One. Those were super good games. But this game is better. Its way more intense. Especially the Polish level when your trying to keep the hill. You even get to do some hand to hand combat. You don't even have to find med kits. When you're badly wounded you just find cover from enemy fire and you heal automatically. Beware you constantly get grenades thrown at you. But you can throw them back. I don't recommend doing this unless you're badly wounded. Sometimes it explodes and I die before I can throw it. The graphics are pretty good for PS2. If you like the previous COD games you'll love this.

"If not a ww2 games maniac don't buy it...", I bought the game two months ago and i was experienced 'cause i had a new call of duty game in my hands!But when i put it in my console i begun rethinking about my choice!First of all the graphic system hasn't change a bit...it brings back memories of old fashioned games with a lot of faults at the graphics.Although it has a nice storyline but this advantage is covered by the bad graphic system!!The graphics are just like Call of Duty 2!We thought that a new title will bring and a new game experience!But Call of Duty 3 is definately not this experience!The only reason i haven't sell the game is because i am a ww2 games maniac so i mast keep it for my collection...It is not worth to buy it unless you are one of the ww2 maniac!!Keep your money and buy something else that may worth it!!

"THE UBEREST GAME EVER", The online gaming and set up will keep you playing for hours, I have played this for over fifteen hours straight, the only negative is that when you are searching for a game it will show games that you cannot connect to for some reason, this will happen about 10% of the time, it only keeps you from playing for twenty seconds or so. The Campaign mode is okay, but if you are an above average gamer, you will get tired of beating the game even on veteran mode, live is definetly the way to go.

"An excellent game. Worth it.", A very good game. The graphics are outstanding and you actually feel like someone in this war. The only things that need improving on this game are you run out of ammo extremly fast, its wicked easy, and there is no two player mode. I havn't tried the muliplayer setting on it yet and I expect it is very intense. If you are interested in getting this game i would recomend u playing Call of Duty 2 Big Red One first so you dont just start in the middle of the war. Also a memory card is a must have since it has an auto save feature.

"What a discrace... A 14yr olds review 12-27 -06 ", Okay, first off I just want to say i have finished all of the Call OF Duty games and by far this falls below the whole damn Medal Of Honor series(which i have also finished)! I mean come on, the whole damn game is based on fighting in Paris when the only fighting in Paris was the Nazis vs The French Resistance. And the French Resistance lost! This was just really unrealistic and doesnt have anything in common with WWII. The gameplay is okay and i hate the grenade throwing system! It freakin SUCKS along with having to be in the British front. Call Of Duty 3 also lacks the blood and gore that the second had. Overall Call Of Duty 3 lacked all the detail that Call of duty 2 had. The only thing that was relatively good about Call Of Duty 3 was that you had more freedom to run around without losing your squad. Call Of Duty 2 is still what me and my brothers play because Call Of Duty 1 takes too damn long to get to the american front. And the story of Call Of Duty 2 is better than the 3rd in many ways. If you liked the tanks in the first and second game, well guess what you dont get to drive tanks in the 3 only jeeps!All im trying to say is that it's probably one of the most unrealistic war games ever. There are some War games that are worse like "BLACK" but Call Of Duty takes the cake. I'm telling you, dont waste your money on something thats only OK graphic wise and the story line sucks. I wasted my money on it and niether of my brothers likes it and they play all the war games i have like the whole Medal of Honor series and Socom series and finally Call Of Duty series.
