"Still the same fun"
Still the same fun as the past years as story mode is pretty good, but animations are outdated and still not as classic as the WWF games on n64.

"SmackDown vs Raw 2007"
this is one of best SmackDown game ever for xbox 360,

"A love-and-hate review."
I really love this game, as well as nearly every THQ wrestling game since WCW VS NWO: World Tour. Still, there are to many details that lack polish, to many bugs and glitches to give it a perfect rating. It's without a doubt the game that crashes the most in my 360 since I bought it, and I've played a lot. It also has a bug that makes my 360 crash every time my created superstar is going to contend for a custom title belt, right after the belt is removed from the HDD (it most be temporarily removed before a title match and re-saved after the match) making me lost the belt and all the money invested in it. It's not that much of a big deal but it's only one of the details that scream the game was rushed.

Another one is the intros, both of them (Raw and Smackdown) are displayed in low-res and full screen only, which is annoying because I bought a widescreen 720p LCD HDTV to play my XBOX 360 games and to have a cheap intro in an HD "next-gen" game makes no sense. Also, the roster feels outdated. The superstar with the highest overall in the roster is Kurt Angle, who's currently at TNA, and superstars like Jeff Hardy and CM Punk are nowhere to be found. There's no hope of updating the roster through downloadable content, since the game does not support it.

Another huge letdown is the commentary, which is completely carryover from the 2006 edition. This completely sucks if you played the previous version, and also the fact that Smackdown currently has Bradshaw instead of Tazz doesn't help the game feel less outdated. The game does look great and the sweat effect rules. The divas look hotter than ever and the story mode is way better that 2006's. There's a lot of fun in this game including earning the Money In The Bank trophy (I got it on my second try, my brothers are still trying). THQ should consider adding content download support for the next installment, as well as updates to fix the bugs in 2007. If they do this, maybe they can exceed the glory achieved by WWF: No Mercy in its time.

"Heels in Season mode...hmmm. (360 version)/ After further review...."
I was pretty fired up to play this game right after I got the demo, and it didn't disappoint when I played the purchased game. A minor annoyance: ring music can't be customized. The big one (unless I'm missing something) is you can't play a 'heel' or dirty wrestler in season mode. Unless I missed some setting somewhere (not in the CAW dialogue) any wrestler (created or regular roster) will default to a clean 'face' wrestler when you start the season, complete with the clean move list and taking massive 20+ point momentum hits every time you attempt a dirty move (my created wrestler has a bunch of them). I'm really hoping I have missed a setting or option somewhere since this one glaring oversight really detracts from a pretty good game. I've posted to the publisher and developer sites and will update if they answer. My hope is that XBox Live will post a patch sooner than later. The movelists and momentum boosts/hits (both clean and dirty) seem to function correctly in all exhibition modes.

**Much time has passed - It's August 08**
I still play this game. Excellent party game rivaling "Madden". I had underestimated the online community and everyone's contributions to Create-A-Wrestler etc. After completely filling the storage slots with original content (I thought Koko B. Ware, El Condor and Barry Horowitz were pretty good) I came across something: if you play through as a bottomed out wrestler (38 overall rating), earn a lot of xp through matches, you may then copy this wrestler, erase the customization and use him/her as a template to create your own historically accurate roster. The replayability and the previous item on customization make me bump the funmeter to "5/5" and the overall to "4/5", after further review.

Oh, and I know '08 has been out. I played it. Like this one better.

"Best there is, so far except...."
This game is the best there is so far in the series, except three things.

1. Cancelled PS3 Version

2. The 360 Version, unlike the game Raw, cant use harddrive music as custom music, real let down.

3. Lack of some superstars like Eugene and Spirit Squad.

Other then that, gameplay rocks, story mode isnt bad, Caws like 2006 version. If you like the WWE, youll love this game.

What our customer's say!

"GREAT ON XBOX LIVE", This is a great game. you Can create your own wrestler, title belts and challenge other players on xbox live. Hell in the cell, hard core match, Buried alive match and more.

"Worst Ever", I can't believe people are rating this game at 4 or 5 stars. This is the worst wrestling game to date. I can't believe that they even released this.

First, The grappling system is awful. You can barely control your wrestlers abilities, let alone grapple efficiently. Second, the announcers announce moves before hand or not at all. Third, The GM mode is the worst "GM" type mode that I have ever seen. You try to control matches to get better ratings. Sounds fun, really it's not.

This game is an embarrassment to the video game industry as well as to the WWE. My only question is Why can't we go back to making them games exactly like World Tour, Wrestlemania 2000, and No Mercy? Those games were fun and easy to control.

Trust me when I say, DONT BUT THIS GAME! WASTE OF MONEY!

"Smackdown Vs Raw 2007", This is definately the best wwe game out so far. It has the best selection of wrestlers to pick from. And, the graphics are AMAZING! I reccomend this to anyone who loves wrestling.

"WWE", The game is not bad. I'm a big fan of the NWO series and this game takes me back to that era. Online play is... okay. I have an excellent internet connection and the game still lags just a bit, although a couple matches worked perfectly online. I have had this game over a month now and I haven't even tried all of the other options in the game. Story mode so far is JUST like the show itself. Go ahead and pick this game up if you can't wait for the 2008 edition.

"Great but not the best ps2 game.", The game is great but the commentary is just so poor, they don't announouce finishishing moves are being used by superstars. CAW Mode Offers less options than it did in 2006, Now you can choose only skirts for Diva caws NO Shorts or Pants, Trish wears pants, so why shouldn't your Diva CAWs, Hair styles suck, now there less options for diva CAWs than male CAWs Males have good-looking ones And when they announce where there from they "from Denver, Colorado. "From Colorado" They say the state or country twice, the company might of made a mistake. Create-an-entrance mode is great & better than 2006, 2006 just looked like an application. in CAE if you choose let's say john cena, JBL, Edge, Steve austin, Bret hart, Johnny Nitro, Joey Mercury etc, they will not wear they're entrance attire, instead they wear they're ring gear in CAE. if you unlock Bigalow, In AC (Advanced Creation) you'll start with bigalows motions and Batista's music, You can choose over 50 different room lightings, Red, Yellow, Blue, Green, Pink, etc. and you choose 18 Different screen effects, the fireworks are great, now you get choose when they come. it would be cool if you could put those superstars in their ring gear then you can debate on wheather they enter in their EA or they will show muscles to the fans.

Create-A-Move-Set sadly allows less options than it did in 2006 running motions cannot be changed unless if you copy the whole move-set from a different superstar. it weird that a cruiserweight caw who knew alot of acrobats still can't save himself/Herself from hitting the exposed turnbuckle all your caws can not save themselves from hitting it even if copy a move-set. alot of moves have been cut off from 2006 & they were made into new moves.

"Almost Perfect", I'll start off by saying the game itself is really good. If you have any interest in the WWE, you'll be hooked as soon as you pop it in. Graphics are greatly improved (even over the already good looking 2006 game), the new fighting style is fun, and the career mode is greatly improved from the previous installment. I'm the person who needs to create my own wrestler and drag him through the storyline and make him the main guy on the show, so if you're like me, you'll LOVE the create a wrestler and create an entrance features.

With the good does come the bad though. I'm not sure if it's just me, but I feel as if the title was rushed onto the shelves and the game as a whole is an unfinished project. The roster is lacking pretty badly (you won't find King Booker, instead the 6 month old version Booker T.... who has King Bookers titantron movie during his entrance.. huh?), the game seems buggy at times. I noticed my created wrestler would occasionally lose his custom move list and revert back to the default list... which I'm still not sure why it happens sometimes. There are some other frustrating things, for instance if you don't use a real WWE wrestlers entrance moves (and instead go with Superstar 1 for example) your wrestler won't wear a belt when he comes out. Also, there's no static belt location for created entrances, so if you mix up the moves your wrestler could be coming down with the belt around his waist, then over his shoulder, then carrying it in his hand, and then it not being visible at all.

While overall, the game is great and would certainly be appreciated by WWE fans and fans of wrestling games in the past, it's far from perfect. I would reccomend it for now, and I hope the future installments will correct the small errors. I'm still waiting for the flawless, megahit, WWE title to eventually hit the shelves. With 2006 and 2007, it appears they aren't far off.

"Great game.", I imagine that this game will be played in my house until the disc wears out. Graphics are a big improvment on previous wrestleing games and the range of characters are impressive. Couldn't see The Highlanders though.

"It's not "Revolutionary"", Here's a game which attempts to exploit itself as a "revolutionary" sequel to the previous games. It boasts this because istead of using the usual "O" button to initiate a grapple on your opponent, you use the right thumb stick. The "revolutionary" changes in gameplay are basically that, the thumbstick instead of the "O" button.

Every wrestling game is only as marketable as it's story mode is enthralling.

This one has several amusing chapters you can run through, but their appeal can't outshine the level of annoyance one will have to endure when attempting to complete certain tasks. In order to achieve the Royal Rumble trophy and unlock certain locked wrestlers, you must compete in the Royal Rumble match and not the actual Royal Rumble PPV as the World Champion or contender to the World Championship. The Royal Rumble pay per view isn't encountered until very late in the game, so you won't realize this until you've already invested a good days worth of game playing.

As with most XBOX 360 games, this one goes out of it's way to achieve unique forms of irratating stupidity. One case of this is where you would like to quit, and reload a saved game since you are not satisfied with the result of a particular match. If you quit while the game is still playing, it will automatically save your unwanted results. You'll have to then start season mode from the very beginning. The idiots at Microsoft felt that the gamer must have obviously forgotten to save the game, and instead of putting up a notice they decided to just put up an autosave and negate the need for a save button. They could have just set the autosave feature to save right after a match since you'd have to turn the console off completely to escape the consequence.

This game is a terrible example of a sequel. I'd recommend that fans of the series just wait for the next one, where they will hopefully improve upon this already stale concept enough to where it will seem like a real sequel to Raw vs Smackdown 2006.

"Really good game, could have been better", This game is reminiscent of the Smackdown games of old. I enjoy playing it, but for some reason the creators of this game seem to think less is more in some cases. Some of the moves have been taken out, which is a shame. Alot of items in the Create A wrestler have been taken out too, such as certain hats and necklaces. There seems to be alot less to choose from as far as Designs, shirts, clothes..heck..everything. It's not that big a deal, but why take out things? Another thing I have yet to understand is why the female superstars can only participate in a few certain types of matches. Up until Here comes the Pain, females could wrestle in any kind of match, now they can only wrestle in about ten of the 70 match types available. I don't understand that..hopefully next time they'll make that possible.

I'm not really a fan of the way Yukes decided to only allow certain moves for certain weight classes. Why do that? Heck, the players should be able to decide what moves to use, regardless of the weight.

There are alot of glitches, as you've read. I do hope they fix them next time. The create an Entrance is alot better than it was last time, but for some reason there are certain pyro effects, such as smoke, that will not last through the entire entrance a la the Undertaker.

All in all though, it is a fun game. I just hope that Yukes will stop with the limitations next time.

"Not bad for a button masher!", This game is pretty good,The graphics are great,The story line is good.I hate the soundtrack, its for 18 year olds(no custom soundtrack).Stupid songs with only powerchords. It seems if your getting beat by a better player all your doing is trying to get up by pressing a button a million times a match.I love the moves you can do from the create a player menu. The menu for create a player clothes do suck like someone else said. And you cant have your own song coming down the ring. Its cool to see the hart foundation though and the real hulkster legdrop to end a match. All in all a good game.
