"great game", My daughter years old and believes this game is so much fun. You have a perfect
amount of time to fry,chop,cut,or add.The graphics are wonderful.this so worth your money.I spend a lot of time on it. You earn more and more dishes to cook. When you get cooking mama you won't want to take it back.


"My 7 yr old just loves this...", She wants to show me EVERY dish she makes and is still thrilled after 2 months when she has made something. I personally did not find it all that exciting, only because there was no good goal or reason for playing. I prefer puzzle games. You do unlock more dishes, but it was not quite to my taste. That being said, my children are absolutely fascinated by it. My daughter is now convinced that if I let her have free reign of the kitchen, she could cook anything, and my sons love to watch. It is also a hit when friends come over to visit.

"I was impressed", I was hesitant to buy this game when it first came out since I thought it sounded somewhat boring but boy did I get proven wrong! This game is very addicting and you want to keep trying to accomplish the task until you get a perfect gold score. Some of the recipes are things I have never heard of (kinda icky), but that does not matter because it is very amusing and everyone in my family now fights to have a turn with it. I will probably be getting the Wii version as well.

"Cooking Sim", This is a very neat game with a very real feel to it. HYou feel like a cook but you don't have to clean! THe only problem is that you can't eat the food!!

"pretty good", this game is a prett good filler, an easy way to kill time, fun for a while, but something you can put down, also good for the kids, my 7y.o. loves it.

"Not really what i thought it would be...", This is not a game you can play over and over again and not get bored. Once you know how to stir, cut, mix etc it pretty much is the same except for the steps in the actual cooking process. That applies to the cooking process too, cause it can't be different each time around for the same dish. A video clipping from amazon would have helped the decision process.
The graphics definitely is a weak point. If the game had options to create your own recipes would have been great to challenge friends. Like other games it should have had levels of difficuilty for any dish. That would make it a little more interesting. Other games also maintain your skill level and that could have very well been incorporated too(brain academy for example). All in all the creators need to put their thinking hats on to keep the gamer engaged. Thats key when you have a hand held. I would not recommend this game.

** I'm not sure how much the cooking mama II game is going to address. I'm big into cooking and hosting parties and this game was a let down, maybe i had high expectations.

"Fun at First", It's fun but if you overplay it gets boring. The food is mostly stuff I've never heard of. It's pretty easy though. I would say ages 7-13??

"Fun, but don't overplay it or it gets boring", This is really fun! You can cook tons of both weird food, and normal food. But I'm warning you, if you play it too much, it can get really boring, really quickly. If you're looking for a fun game for the Nintendo DS, then I suggest buying this game.

"For pre-teens", This game is probably best for pre-teens because it can become very repetitive and doesn't allow you to combine multiple dishes. Beware of scratching your Nintendo DS screen when "whisking" ingredients together.


"We all love cooking!", I bought this game for my daughter at Christmas time. It is really fun and I started borrowing her ds so i could play it. She left it in my car so i took into work on my lunch break and cooked up some new dishes. It is fun and it does teach you some simple things and how you have to do different steps to create a meal. I want to get me, I mean my daughter Cooking mama 2 because this game is so fun. My only complaint is sometimes you are following the instuctions but for some reason it doesn't flip the meat or stir sometimes. Overall, it is fun and can be entertaining for a long time. Even loverboy likes to play it!
