"Lake Swill", One of the worst movies ever made. Don't waste your time. The acting was horrible, the story was nonsensical, the actions of the characters were completely unbelievable, and in the end there was nothing morally of socially redeeming about this movie.

"Joan Sizzles", This movie gets high marks for Joan Severance's incredibly hot performance. Although the plot is a little weak with some implausible elements, overall this is an enjoyable movie. If you like Joan (how can you not?) you will love "Lake Consequence". An erotic and sensual look into a woman's mind.


"Lake Consequence", Lake Consequence is a classic Zalman King production-beautiful bodies, offbeat scenery, jazzy score, and little if any "plot" to speak of. If you enjoy this kind of film-and I do-then Lake Consequence is for you.

"It didn't completely suck.", Well, Joan Severance is pretty hot, but Billy Zane couldn't act his way out of wet paper bag, and the script is ...slightly less than A List. But it does produce wood, which is probably part of the point, nyet? The other woman is also hot and somehow believable in her own shallowly defined role. It could been improved 2000 percent by the application of a writer and a Johnny Depp. give it fifty milligrams of Viagara.

"Joan Severance is delicious", I would say this is Joan Severance's best movie. Since appearing in small roles in See No Evil, Hear No Evil and Bird on a Wire, she has been relegated to B-movie erotica, but she has given it her best. She truly is an exquisite creature, with mesmerizing blue eyes and an incredible body.
She is perfect as the sexually repressed housewife who stumbles into a sexual liaison with her gardener, played by Billy Zane, and his sometime lover May Karasun. Like others have said, the photography at the lake in the movie is stunning and adds tremendously to its sensual appeal.
The movie takes a downturn into negativity with the revelations about the Severance character's painful past, at which point the sensuality is abruptly cut off. Talk about coitus interruptus! But it is still a captivating, memorable movie.

"A womans mind", If ever there was a movie that explained a woman's mind this would be it. Women are portrayed so often as solid creatures that know exactly what they want. The men are always the ones who are confused and stray. What I think is important here is how this movie explains what goes on in a woman's mind. What a woman must sacrifice Women are sensual creatures by nature, and as Billy pointed out near the end "real life and romance do not generally go hand in hand". I think all to often women sacrifice their sensual side for that of family and security. This movie defiantly hits home to a lot of women and their own fantasies.

"not bad,but could be better", don't get me wrong i love joan severance but the movie would be nothing with out her, not bad acting, but bad script, to many left turns not enough, well you know.

"Billy Zane is the absolute sexiest man to ever live.", This movie is where I first saw Billy Zane. It is the most erotic movie I have ever seen. I loved the amazing attraction between Billy and Joan. It was an exciting ride from beginning to end. Billy Zane is absolutely devine!!!

"Steam but no Fire", Definitely some willing suspension of disbelief required with the plot. The characterization is odd, but works (mostly), though there are places in the middle where Severence's character does some things -out- of character.

Some of the plot devices seemed extremely forced, but I will say that some of the sex scenes were incredibly hot and erotic.

An excellent psychological tension was building among the characters, but ruined by how the script ended the bath house scene, and by some of the oddly chosen cut-aways during the scene. After the end of that scene, you dont really get the tension between the characters back, and the rest of the movie seems to be trying to explain away the previous actions of the characters.

Not a bad flick, but the acting was much better than the script deserved.
