"Belkin F5D9050 Wireless G Plus" This adapter had absolutely no problems setting up the adapters on XP and Vista systems Connected and they have been running Smoothly .
"Does what I need" Purchased this to connect to a Belkin F5D9230 wireless router. I have this adapter connected to an XP machine and my router in connected to a cable modem. I was able to get connect almost immediately using the Belkin wireless software, however, I did not want to run their software, I wanted to use the built-in Windows wireless drivers and had issues connecting this adapter to my wireless router. I contacted the techinal support (which was very helpful, to my suprise). It turns out that you cannot use 128-bit WEP security mode with Windows and this adapter (which I would like to use so that I can connect my work PC to my network), but it does work fine using WPA security mode (which is actually more secure). It is now running fine and seems to be very quick.
"Easy to install and does the job!" I installed this adapter in a corner bedroom in my house where I previously couldn't even pick up my signal from my wireless network. This adapter did pick it up, but it's still pretty low. I do think this adapter works really well, but my router is in a bad place and unfortunately it can't be moved. I'm glad that I am now able to receive a connection thanks to this adapter!
The reason I'm giving it 4 stars is because it installs the "Belkin Wireless Client Utility" to manage your wireless connection and run every time you start Windows. I disabled this but still it is an inconvenience.
"Mac OS 10.3 - this one works!" After searching far and wide for wireless card for my old G4 Titanium Powerbook, I happened on this one from Belkin. It's BIG and cumbersome, but works flawlessly with OS 10.3.9.
I had previously purchased a Sonnet Aria Extreme card for this book, but it was defective and was returned. I understand that a LOT of these Sonnet cards have trouble.
The Belkin wireless G comes with a CD, and drivers for both OS 10.3 and 10.4 are on the disk, contrary to other posts. This may be a new development from Belkin, as I purchased the adapter in late March 2008. I get great range and speed with this adapter, and would recommend it to anyone with an older Mac laptop, running at least OS 10.3, who needs a wireless solution.
"An Awesome USB Network Adapter for PC" I bought this Belkin Mimo USB wireless network adapter for my PC, and it works great!
One of the reasons why I am very happy to own this Belkin USB 2.0 network adapter is, before I bought this Belkin wireless 2.0 USB network adapter, I had a bad experience with D-LINK wireless USB network adapter.
The D-LINK wireless adapter crashed my Windows XP every 5 to 10 minutes, and gave me a5agu.sys error message. So I basically threw the D-LINK USB network adapter into my office trash can since D-LINK tech support refused to help me out and to replace the broken network adapter.
I went to Target and bought this Belkin USB MIMO wireless adapter and I was so happy that I decided to pick this product. It is not cheap, but the price is right for its quality.
Unlike D-LINK USB network adapter, this Belkin USB MIMO network adapter worked out of the box flawlessly without crashing.
The installation process is extremely easy. When it says, plug-and-play, it really is plug-and-play. I had no problem installing it. Just make sure you follow the instructions, insert the CD containing the driver for the wireless adapter and then you plug the USB adapter into the USB port of your PC.
It's been almost a year now that I own this Belkin USB network adapter and it is working 24/7, day and night and it still works great for our business.
I haven't talked to Belkin tech support yet, because I had no need to talk to them since the network adapter works without any problems.
So if you want a reliable USB network adapter for your business or home use, I really recommend you to buy this Belkin USB wireless adapter. It is worth it! Amazing! Awesome!

What our customer's say!
"It does get the job done...", I have several Macs at home. This product does work with a Mac, but it is a few things you have to play around with right out of the box. It does have a strong signal strength around the house and I haven't had any problems with it losing the signal. My only complaint is it does act "screwy" from time to time. For instance, when I restart my computer, its as if the device has disappeared even though its plugged into the USB port. I have to constantly unplug and plug again before it connects to the network. But overall, its not a bad product and it definitely gets the job done. When it is functioning correctly, its an awesome device and an awesome price compared to apple products that apple pushes for you to buy (i.e. apple extreme cards, extreme base station, etc.)!
Also, it is true. The Belkin Techs are complete idiots/morons when it comes to Macs. The first time, i bought the router and the adapter and i had to go through 3 or 4 technicians who had absolutely no clue as to what to do. I was on the phone with them for about 3 hours (until after 2 in the morning) for something I probably could have done myself had I been more knowledgeable about networks at the time. But other than that, great buy and worth the money for mac users!
"Worth the price, and worry free....reliable....", I'm writing this review because I felt I should write about this awesome product. After dealing with d-link/linksys wifi cards I completely gave up. These were horrible products and some of the reviews were somewhat off about those products. But I'm happy to say the Belkin USB Wireless Adapter gave me new found hope in wifi again. I would like to say that everything this product has to offer is true. After dealing with d-link and linksys with their so called 54mbps connections, the max speed I would get was 11mbps and still didn't feel like it. The d-link had connection issues with slow speeds and linksys was just as bad if not worst and the included software for both adds nothing but garbage and in one case issues with my wireless zero config. Anyways, the Belking was so easy, and I was up and running in like 5 mins after an install and restart...BAM wifi ready. The included software is easy to understand and setup is a breeze. The only issue I encountered was that Belkin's wifi utility placed itself on my START menu but I'm assuming this was normal since the other cards did the same. But my issue with it was that it would not automatically connect to my preferred network I guess because I had my router to hide my broadcast ID. I didn't bother with my router because I would just have to press connect and it would connect. It really wasn't a big deal for me but my dad would be using it and he is not so proficient with a computer. To solve this all I did was have windows zero config take over, which by the way is an option included in the belkin wireless utility, doesn't get much easier than that. These honestly were minor, minor issues which were resolved easily. I would definitely recommend this product and would buy another for my computer. Oh, by the way the speed of this product is awesome constant 54mbps. I saw it go down to 38mbps once but it still didn't slow me down and the range is awesome. My router is 40feet away from this computer and goes through like three thick walls (my room, a hallway and bathroom). If you've tried the rest try this one you wont regret it.
"Does the job with XP Drivers", I have an older XP-Pro PC running on a Pentium 4 / 3.0 Mhz. Upon running the Belkin software and plugging the device in all looked promising; I entered my WEP key and it was accepted; then I received repeated messages that the network server would not communicate with my computer. As suggested in several reviews, I went into the Belkin utility and flagged the option to run on Windows' Utility...and now it works great at 54.0 mbps in a bedroom upstairs from my router. Uninstalling the Belkin software and running the Windows Add New Hardware Wizard made it work faster/better with fewer icons/distractions. So if your PC is XP-based bypass the Belkin software and go straight for the Windows new hardware installation and you should have a good experience with this product.
"32 bit capable only", It works in XP and on a Mac. Unfortunately there is no support for Vista 64-bit. This probably includes XP 64 as well. The device is not recognized.
"Gets the job done but is cumbersome", Although the network adapter works great, it is quite large.
The wireless capability broke on my laptop and I got this as a workaround since the computer manufacterur wanted to wipe my laptop and take two weeks to do so as a "potential" fix.
The actual wireless adapter is 3 1/2 inches long (not including the USB connector) and 1 3/4 inches wide.
With that size, it sticks out of my laptop quite far and the metal USB connector has become bent so that the adapter doesn't stay in very well.
I now have to use the adapter with mini docking station. I guess the good thing is that I can sit the adapter with the docking station further away from me (if the proximity to the radio waves causes cancer, it's a plus to keep it away - otherwise, it's just not convenient.)
It does its job well as far as connectivity, but if you're purchasing this for a laptop that you take around with you quite a bit, you might want to look for a smaller adapter.

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Does not work out of the box for a Macintosh", The previous review by a Macintosh user is right on target. Unlike what is advertised on the box, this adapter is NOT ready to use straight out of the box for the Mac user. You will have to go to Belkin's website to download drivers. Also, to second Craig's comment, the newest software is extremely buggy. Numerous crashes and dropped connections later, I finally have gotten the idea to install older Belkin software (as suggested by Craig again), but have yet to have a status report on this.
To add a new point, Belkin's technical support (five calls and counting) has so far been pretty much clueless on how to tackle these issues on the Mac OS. Four of five tech agents had not the slightest idea of how the Mac OS system works, and I received some laughable fix suggestions that would apply only to a Windows system (checking for install program under start menu, looking at registry file, etc.).
If the older driver doesn't work for me, I going to have to ask for my money back.
"Mac users, be aware!", First of all, there was NO Macintosh software included with this product, even though the manual showed a Mac-compatible symbol. I had to download the so-called software from the Belkin website, but found out that the software for OS 10.4 was buggy at best. Everything works fine if you connect the product AFTER you boot up or reset your computer. Out of frustration, I downloaded the software for OS 10.3 and it worked as advertised! Belkin needs to either include the correct software on the install CD with the product, or at least indicate that Mac users need to download the software from their website.
"good adapter", We bought this to go on a new Vista pc. Had already bought a Netgear n-wireless system which was giving us major problems. The netgear adapter was making the computer freeze on bootup. This one plugged right in, recognized by Vista, easy installation, and great throughput. My wife is a convert from Netgear to Belkin now.
"A Good Thing", Good, you have to keep reminding your pc to find your wireless network. But after the 2 minutes every start up to do this, it's on all day.
"don't believe it!", I bought this product to connect a Mac wirelessly to my home network, because the room the Mac lives in doesn't have a phone jack. I bought this particular one because it touts itself as being Mac compatible. As for whether it is or not, who would know? In order for me to find out, I would need to be able to configure it. Alas, the CD that comes with it contains nothing my poor Mac can use. And when I called tech-support, they told me I would have to download the Mac data from their website, which, ahem, if I could do, I wouldn't need their adapter. I'm returning it. I had previously bought a Belkin router and been very satisfied with it, but now I will be thinking twice before buying anything from Belkin. So should you.
