"Unsure Yet", I bought this cd for my daughter. I am waiting til Christmas to give it to her so I am unsure how to rate it yet!

"Awesome Soundtrack", This is an awesome soundtrack and it was at such a great price. What a great buy!!

"Clean for kids; not much meat for adults", I bought this CD to practice for my audition in a local production of HSM. I really only focus on the two ensemble numbers, "Stick to the Status Quo" and "We're All in this Together". All of the songs are sung and played well. The lyrical content is perfect for children. Very small ones can dance to the aforementioned ensemble numbers; older kids can croon along with the ballads. Tweens and teens will love this musical, as it focuses on their generation. For example, in "Stick to the Status Quo", brainiac Martha Cox admits her passion is "hip hop". (You won't find that in the other delightful musical, GREASE!)

Adults probably won't find much substance, but they'll be thankful the songs are inoffensive. If you want G-rated family entertainment, this is the CD for your home!

"Good Listening for the Whole Family", I have three kids (7, 5, and 3) and we listen to this CD all the time! Great fun for the whole family, especially in the car. The songs are catchy, although I'm not a big fan of the slow stuff. This is much better than the High School Musical 2 CD. There are only 2 or 3 really good songs in HSM2 ("Fabulous", for example).

"Excellent!", This CD is excellent, just like the movie! Great music for kids and grown-ups too.

"Catchy tunes, high energy, keeps you singing along", While not as well written as earlier musicals with high school settings such as "Grease", or even earlier, "Bye, Bye Birdie", the upbeat, bouncy arrangements will definitely stay with you and you'll find yourself taking out the additional karaoke disk to try your hand at crooning along. The theme of following your dreams instead of following the crowd is particularly relevant. "Breaking Free" is especially good and does really soar. "Getcha Head in the Game" is a great precursor to any sports game or exercise routine. This would probably be most popular with preteen or high school girls or lovers of musicals. I have to admit I can't stop singing the songs, they definitely grow on you. this from a Stephen Sondheim lover.

"HSM fans a must", My 7 yr old loves HSM, so this CD is a must for any HSM collection.
