"Easily Accessible Family Health Information"
The Body Journal allows you to store important health information for the whole family. I found it particularly useful for tracking my children's weight, height, vaccination records, and general health. While some of this information was recorded in baby books, much after their first birthday was only written on small pieces of paper that were inevitably lost. Using the journal for recording the information was easy and gave me peace of mind that I hadn't lost any information. I can see how The Body Journal would be particularly critical when trying to monitor a specific medical condition.
It is reassuring to know that in the event of an emergency, the health records of my entire family and all their doctor's information are available instantly.

It is particularly useful when visiting a doctor for the first time as I can easily provide a summary of my child's medical history. No more guessing! "Good product -- company seems rubber side up", I have been using this product now for several years and have been very happy with it. I was really happy to see it will work with MAC Leopard OS.

The program does just about everything I need it to do.

The sad news is that it seems from all the data on the internet the company have gone rubber side up. When a new version came out a couple of years ago the company owner sent me a special pre-release DVD of the updated program. Support then was very good. Now, I have found no way to contact the company.

I think it is well worth the price for what it does but one must keep in mind that if you run into any problems you are on your own. As far as the MAC platform goes I have never had any problems with running the program in Tiger or Leopard.

"Software is great, Support non-existent", The Body Journal (PC/Mac Software) I searched for Mac healthcare software to assist me in managing pre-diabetic diet, hypothyroid and fibromyalgia diagnoses. The Body Journal seemed, to initial appearance, be exactly what I was looking for. It downloads my meter readings and records daily events, medication, conditions, medical docs and other information. However, it falls short in recording a diet regime as there is no nutrition database. Also, I could neither connect to their online website with my software as described in the User Manual, nor print reports. I started to attempt contacts via email and phone to Support for over a month with no response. Then received a call from Anluan O'Brien in the Support Dept. who was a very nice guy, but not much help. After repeatedly contacting and waiting for months again, I called Amazon to ask for my money back. They refused because too much time had passed since my purchase. To date, The Body Journal's website is still up, but nonfunctional, and the product is still for sale on Amazon's website. I would have expected more quality customer service from Amazon and would not recommend anyone purchase this product.

"Software is OK...But??", I downloaded this product from The Body Journal web site several weeks ago (before I saw it on Amazon) and was waiting for the key to unlock the demo status of the program. It never arrived and calls, emails, shouts from my back yard -:) got no response from this company. While the software is pretty good, depending on your needs, I am sure that this company has either folded or is in the process of some transformation since it does NOT respond to ANY customer requests.

Still, I found it to be one of the few programs that will download meter readings from a glucose monitoring device to its database on the Mac (there are many for Windows). My advice, download the app from The Body Journal's web site, then if you find that it fits your needs buy it from Amazon, where you will get the card (they call it an emergency record(s) card) with the key to take it out of demo mode.

"Awful", I tried this software out and was completely unsatisfied. Afer working with it for more than an hour, I gave up. Even though I am fairly savvy with computers and software, I was not able to enter any data or do any of the other things it said it could do. I tried again a few days later with the same results. I have erased it from my hard drive and if I had the time I would complain to the manufacturer or Amazon.

"Non-existant customer support", This is a pretty good program. It's clean and non-complicated, but comprehensive. You will appreciate it...if you can actually download it. I had issues with the program in the beginning that prevented me from using it. I tried to contact support the traditional way first. I went to the FAQs, I wrote to the message board, I sent an email. Nothing. I sent another email, and then called support, and no one answered. Finally after two weeks, I started calling all the numbers at headquarters. I left 5 messages for everyone including the President of the company. No one answered or returned my calls or emails. My question was never answered. Apparently, I'm not the only one with this issue, either. On the message board, some answers were dated several MONTHS after the post. As a last resort before sending it back, I tried different fixes myself and finally figured out my problem. I NEVER RECEIVED ANY CUSTOMER SUPPORT! I began to think that the company dissolved. Go ahead and buy it if you don't mind the risk. I am happily using the software right now, but am dumbfounded about what kind of company would have such crappy support in place.
