Others say...
"Cheap but effective" I only need this tool for occasional use and didn't want to spend the big dollars for a Dremel. It works OK but it feels and performs like a cheapy; it vibrates a lot at some speeds, and the case and cord shout CHEAP, but I like the extras it came with. Beware the wire wheel it comes with; mine flew apart in no time. I bought that box of 20 for 10 dollars from Anytime Tools; much better quality. Still, a good deal for a variable speed rotary tool for occasional use.
"great value" great value for a drill that accepts dremel bits. have used cordless rotary tools before but this corded version has more power and doesnt require waiting for charge. includes a a seperate flex shaft for working without having to keep weight of tool on hand.
cutting blades are very cheap. on first use i put on cutting blade and when putting the tool down carefully it snapped in half easily. to be careful use good dremel cutting blades and always cut with the tool pointed foward on a perpendicular cut. if blade snaps it will follow direction of spin outward.
"Great Handyman Tool" I bought this for carving and light grinding/sanding. It works very well on wood and metal, has nice assortment of grinding/cutting/sanding bits and the flex shaft is just great. The edge clamp stand with hanger works well. The molded plastic case makes this perfect for the handyman that keeps his tools in his truck. As with any small motor, don't bog it down or you could smoke the unit. Great fun for projects and hobbies. I would buy this again in a heartbeat.
"good stuff at the price" I haven't used it since I received it. By looking at the product it's of OK quality, but for a causual user like me it's quite enough. And the price is great!
"Nice little Rotary Tool for under $15 bucks delivered!" Picked up this nice Rotary Tool for under $15 delivered.... cann't come close anywhere else plus it has the flexible shaft and storage case included! Can you smell a deal! Maybe not the quality of a dremel tools but will do everything I need for a fraction of the price.

What our customer's say!
"Good unit for the price.", I've had this for almost 1 and a half years. I bought it here on Amazon. It works well. I've used it to sand my dogs nails down as he doesn't mind it as much as clipping with the nail clippers. I've also used it to grind down metal nail tips (protruding through wood) and it worked well except the chuck kept on slipping causing the bit to work it's way out. I had to stop every minute or so to push the bit into the chuck and retighten. I ground down about 12 nails in that one use and applied quite a bit of pressure down as I was grinding; it handled it well other than the slipping of the chuck. I've also used it for small jobs such as cutting plastic using the cutting wheel with no problems.
It's not clear to me which Dremel tool accessories will work with this. I want to buy a chainsaw chain sharpener attachment that Dremel makes but it's not clear whether the screw on attachment will fit this rotary tool. If anyone knows, please comment.
"great for the price", It's a rotary tool. It does what it says it will. I'm having a great time with it. (It does NOT have a 3 jaw chuck, though, like the title says. It comes with a collet system, which is annoying. I bought a keyless chuck to replace it, but I'll have to grind it down to fit the tool.)
"GMC Varible speed rotary tool", I would like to give this tool 5 stars but I can't. I bought it March 9 at a great price but it has already died! Called GMC and they told me to call Amazon (Unit has a 2 year warranty). Amazon took a couple of minutes to discuss and agreed to refund the money. So I would have to give Amazon 5 stars! I was almost done with all my planned projects when it died. No joke, I had one more circle to cut out when it died! I am not a contractor, tool was used about 15 times in 5 months. Maybe I got a bad one? Most of the attachments and tools I did not use. I bought a drywall bit and used that 99% of the time.
"ROTARY TOOL", THE ROTARY TOOL ITSELF SEEMS TO HAVE BEEN A GOOD PURCHASE, HOWEVER THE ATTACHMENTS ARE QUITE DISAPOINTING.
"Great For The Price", I've never owned a dremel-type tool before, but was in the market for an affordable woodcarving tool to use for carving pinewood derby cars and such. This tool did the trick right out of the box, without the need to buy any accessories. The included flexible shaft was very useful for carving. The quality of the tool and major accessories seemed as good or better than any power tool I've had for under $50. The minor accessories - carving bits and the like - were not high quality, but were useful and met my expectations for the low price point.
This tool does not include an adjustable chuck, so it wouldn't be good for jobs that call for frequent swapping of the bit. It's not very powerful so I wouldn't use it for heavy duty work. For shaping pinewood derby cars -- which are about 7 inches long and 3 inches wide -- it worked great.

"so pleased i bought 10 more :) ", i use these rotary tools in teaching bamboo flute-making classes. have to say i didnt expect much from it at all for under two hamiltons but its worked out great.the stand, flex shaft, case, not bad at all for the price. imagine how happy i was when i found all the bits i need for the flutes were actually included in this package, plus more!
if it ever burn out ,i can afford to replace it easily. i have 2 dremels, and a fordom knock-off flex-shaft in my shop..this one actually fits nicest in my hand..
"Good quality, good features.", I bought two of these systems. VERY NICE package deal. The flex shaft attachment for the Dremel costs more than the whole kit for this GMC unit. Appears to be nice quality. I have a Dremel and a Sears look-alike I've had for many years. I haven't used it much yet, but just out-of-the box, you can't beat the price/feature combo versus Dremel.
"Great tool -- LOTS OF GOODIES!", I was pleasantly surprised at how well this works and how many goodies it came with. The flexible head can cost you $25. the Stand with the hook is a nice plus. Case is a huge bonus if you need to transport the thing. really great deal all around.
BUT... the major con is that I bought the dremel chuck two weeks ago b/c I was tired of changing collets and losing them. But it wont fit this. So the chuck is not compatible. my old sears tool still works but it isnt as good as this one. But at least the chuck is compatible.
4.8*
"Great For the Money", This a pretty basic rotary tool. But for 9 out of 10 people it's all they'll ever need. I've found it useful for a lot of small jobs around the house. I think you will also.
"Gets The Job Done", Lacks torque but otherwise a Very Good "bang for the buck" rotary tool. Recommended.
