"iTalk works fine"
I've used the iTalk for a few things and it works well. It was shipped in great time and I am very pleased with the condition it came in.

"Great for recording my students!"
I purchased this for use with my music classes on a recommendation from another music tech teacher. It's fabulous and the quality is great for a basic level mic. We've all enjoyed the ability to then hook it up to the speakers and instantly hear the performance during class.

"iTalk Pro a huge disappointment"
I had an older model iTalk with my old iPod, which worked great! When I had to replace my iPod with a newer model, I immediately ordered a new iTalk Pro. What a disappointment! The recordings are full of pops and hisses, unlike my old one, which recorded as clear as a bell. These are virtually unusable recordings unless you have very sophisticated audio cleaning software, and even then they are barely passable to listen to. This device was a total waste of money, unfortunately. Maybe I just got a bad one, but it is of exceedingly poor quality.

"For the money, this little guy works A-OK"
I use this to record basic lyrics/melodies on the piano so I won't forget them. I've noticed the microphone is very sensitive and if the pitch changes there is a small electronic pulse (seemingly the microphone adjusting to the pitch?). Guess you can't expect expert recording :) But the sound is very clear otherwise, and it serves the purpose I need it to--very easy to use, clear recording, small enough to carry around with me everywhere. And for the money, it just can't be beat. I researched a lot of reviews on these little iPod recording things before deciding on this one, and all the reviews seemed to point this way.

"iTalk is great"
The Griffith iTalk Pro is super. It's a plug and go sort of thing, and I used correctly and successfully the first time I tried. The sound quality was amazing, really beyond what I expected. It worked perfectly inside my breast pocket with the default settings that came when it arrived, no adjustment needed. I have used it every day through a fifteen-week school term and it needs a charge about 1 hour after giving a two-hour lecture. I would buy this for twice what I paid and feel good about it. Compared to other types of mics, this one is the easiest to use, least expensive, and delivers great sound quality.

What our customer's say!

"Blocks headphone output of Nano 2G", My wife uses it to record short snippets of herself, so that she listen to and correct her pronunciation of some particular words in a foreign language. She is happy with the recording quality, but it blocks the headphone output of iPod Nano 2G (the tall ones with metallic colors, but cannot play video.) I don't know if the full size iPods have their headphone outputs on the top, so it may work better for those, but my wife has to disconnect iTalk before she can listen. Repeating this step after each word recording makes it quite impractical for this purpose. Otherwise it works as promised; the recordings gets transferred to our iTunes automatically.

"Sturdy too", This thing works great right out of the box. Mine survived an accidental laundering in the washing machine without noticeable loss of function.

"Wonderful mic for NANO", This is a great product for the Nano. It records voice or instrument with a touch, and the sound is crystal clear. Plays back to your dock or computer, so you can make a CD. This is the answer to a prayer.

"Simple, but drains battery power", This product works fine, the sound quality is quite ok. However, this device works probably max. 2 hours on a full ipod battery. When my battery was half full and I recorded an interview, the battery died after 1 hour.

"Great Product", Great Product. I would recommend it.
My ipod does not seem to be able to go beyond an hour with it, which was a bit disappointing since I intended to record 3 hour long lectures.

"Works", For basic audio notes or low quality live music recording it works fine. It doesn't fully engage for proper operation when using a Nano in a protective case.

"Worked great!", Great product and great service. Product was new in box as advertised. I was able to make recordings right away. Used it to record a meeting in a large room (20-30 people present) and was able to get good quality for not taking purposes. Would do business again with this seller and I recommend this product.

"Griffin iTalk", This was the niftiest doohickey I've ever purchased. I LOVE IT. Used it to do a voice over
on a iPhoto slideshow for a history project and it was so easy and quick and made me look good.

"a little about Griffin's iTalk", I really like this thing. It's pretty simple and easy to use; just plug it in and go. My only complaints are these: it does speech easily, but if you sing or play music (which I do) then you get some noticeable distortion, namely popping. Another thing, if you are using a hard drive iPod (like the iPod Classic) the iTalk picks up the sound of the hard drive and such moving around inside the iPod. No such problem when I plugged it into my old Nano, which is a flashdrive type. Even so, I give it 4 stars. Great machine, a nice gadget for anyone, especially college kids and anyone who plays music and has an idea that they want to record quickly and then come back to later.

"Best cheap thing I ever bought...", I bought this as a backup recording device for emergency and for fun... but it has ended up being great. THe recording quality is amazingly clear and good, and even in a crowded room can pick out what you want it too. I've used it to record interviews, sample environments, and do little demo songs so that I don't forget and can use them as scratch tracks for recording... very nice, super easy to use, and small and cheap. perfect for what it is.
