"A Very Good Greeting Card Program", My wife previously used Create-A-Card greeting card software on a windows computer until they stopped making the program for installation on a computer. She then switched to the Hallmark program but found she could not use her saved Create-A-Card greeting cards with the Hallmark program. As soon as we loaded the Printmaster program onto our "XP" windows computer it automatically found and imported her old saved Create-A-Card greeting cards

Pros: Easy to install, large selection of greeting cards, works with saved Create-A-Card greeting cards, many other features besides greeting cards

Cons: Graphics not as good as those in the Hallmark program



"Degrades over time", I bought this 2 years ago and loved the ability to import my own photos and very seldom used the template cards. A month ago, it began to give me a "failed to create picture" message on anything other than their template pictures. I can't even retrieve my own saved cards. Last night, it won't even open. I have uninstalled and reinstalled 3 times, without success. It is as though they planned it to degrade to force you into buying another program. Of course, I will, but it won't be Broderbund. Especially when I couldn't get support on line, wrote a letter and was told to access a different website that is merely a thread of blogs of users helping each other. None of which could help me. Beware...


"Printmaster Platinum V17.0", Not pleased with this product.
Cannot e mail finished product because receivers see the card as a virus and won't allow to open.
Very limited in selections.
difficulty in inserting printed messages into designated spaces.
Very primative package.
Would not order or recommend.


"Pure Junk", I've used various versions of Printmaster for several years and liked this application alot. Unfortunately I have yet to be able to create anything with version 17, even after multiple installations and many emails to "customer support" which was nothing more than a half-witted cut-and-paste reply telling me to retry installation, etc.

Printmaster used to be good, but this version is a waste of time and money. Shame on Broderbund for making something that was once very useful and fun totally worthless and frustrating. I will never buy another Broderbund product.

"Freezes ", This product freezes up my computer and I can't use it - it is being used on a very high powered computer.

"Printmaster Platinum #17", I guess it's okay. I have the original Printmaster Platinum and think its the greatest. The newer version is okay, somewhat more confusing to use and didn't have the graphics in it that I had hoped for. Guess I'll get used to it but glad I didn't remove my previous version.

"Deep River", I am very disappointed in this program. I have been doing my own graphics/cards for about 10 years. I started with Print Shop (early edition) and progressed thru all the updates. I then switched to PrintMaster and LOVED it!!! Again, I have progressed to each new verion with very little or no problems...until now! This has got to be the worst of the worst--- the program did not want to load without being babied. When it finally loaded, it was very confusing and I found that I needed to get my graphics from the internet! The area I live in only allows me to have dial up---you can imagine how long it takes to get the graphics I want! If you are interested in doing your own graphics/cards, skip this program...go back to PrintMaster Platinum 16 for much better results. As far as I am concerened, the River Deep Company needs to hide this edition in the DEEPEST RIVER they can find!

"Don't try it in non-english WinXP", I've been using a Win 98 version of this software for years and the opportunity to upgrade to the XP version was tempting.
However, it does not work at all in my portuguese XP.
After searching for the misterious error code through the manufacturer's database I was informed that it does not work in non-english Win XP.
All the previous versions worked fine in my PCs but this one was totally disappointing. Living in Brazil, I had to give up my money since the shipping costs were about the same value I would recover.
Shame on them.

"printmaster Platinum V 17.0", A great program. Pretty easy to use. You have to play around with it to learn all the things it will do. I bought it usedfrom a list on Amazon and it was fine. Really like the program. Linda J Johnson

"PrintMaster Platinum 17", Over all I am very happy with the product. It has paid for itself in this short time by just making Happy Birthday cards. I am not totally happy with the product and I am not sure if I would buy it again. The product is well worth the money you are paying but their is a few things which I am not happy about:
1. Even though the product gives you CD's which contain Art and Project Models their is more art and projects on the Internet. To access these art and projects you need to go on the Internet which is not a problem. What is a problem is that if you want to get on this site and a lot of other people are on the site already you may not be able to get on the site. If you cannot get on the site you cannot finish your project. You will have to put it away until some other time when you can get on the site. This is frustrating and annoying. It makes you want to take the entire program and through it out the window and buy another brand.
2. The other thing I was not happy about was, I was given a coupon, in the box, for a 1 year membership to the "Million Image Club" To get into this club you have to fill out some paperwork and submit it on the Internet. After it is reviewed you are then sent a pass word, over the Internet, that allows you to go on the site. Well, I filled out all the paperwork, sent it in over the Internet, as required, but was not sent a password. Well, I tried to find some one to talk to about this but ran into a brick wall after spending a lot of time being directed from one site to another only to end up with no answer to the problem. It seems that Broderbund does not control the product but "Encore" does. You will receive almost no help at all from "Encore". The only place to get help is from a Forum which couldn't give a reasonable answer on what I should do. So, I am now not getting access to the "Million Image Club", to tell you the truth, I don't really care. When you finally can get on the site you have hundreds of images and models to choose from. You really don't need a million more.
