"bare bones", as previous reviewer stated, very easy to install. beware that if you are accustomed to a soundblaster live! card (as is my case), the audigy comes with minimal software. most notably absent is the graphic equalizer, which i quickly found necessary to replace ($20 and up). very bass-ey sound, this card.

"Does a great job", This product has made music and gaming sound come alive in my house. I would say the quality is very, very good overall; and downright brilliant if you factor in the price.

"not supported by creative", if you do not have a full size computer case, save your money. I purchased this card to upgrade the integrated sound card that came with my computer. unfortunately, they do not specify that this product only fits full size comuter towers.

When I discovered this fact I contacted Creative Labs, the maker of the SoundBlaster Audigy SE card and was told that they no longer offer the compact bracket nessessary to make it compatable with my computer.

when buying a sound card make sure it states that it has a low profile bracket or chances are it will not fit your computer case. (most desktop computers sold now are compact towers).

I'm sure it would be good product, if only I was able to use it.

"Cheap and effective", Using this card with some x-540 speakers, and it sounds pretty much great so far!

"A bargain!", Before purchasing Augidy SE SB0570 I was sceptical about its qualities. By the way, I only got it by chance as my previuos sound card based on the ALC888 chipset stopped working suddenly. I thought I would only purchase a good quality card by selling my kidneys so I never minded much about getting a good card. However, Creative Augidy SE has changed my mind. It's unbelievable how a such inexpensive device could brought the sound quality of my desktop to a much higher standard.

Main improvements: clear and open midrange, good soundstage (with my previous sound card it didn't exist at all), trebles better defined and better dinamics.

As an audiophile I'm able to recommend an audio stuff. Believe me, the refered sound card is a bargain. Of course, don't expect a hi-end performance, but it's good enough to play those badly recorded MP3 files.

"IT WORKS!", I had a Creative Sound Blaster with more bells and whistles than this one but when I had a hard drive crash, it stopped working. I replaced the old one with this one and it worked the first time.

"Solid performer", This card replaced the dead on-board audio in my PC. It is a very solid performer at a very reasonable price. If you don't need a lot of fancy extras, this card is ideal.

"Good Cheap upgrade from Integrated audio", I bought a new Vista 64-bit computer and just didn't feel I needed to upgrade from the Integrated HD audio. But, had been having some strange pops and whistles, so when I saw the Audigy SE in a clearance bin I bought it. The sound improvement is certainly noticeable, clear and bright compared to what I had before. It loaded up fine, and the update from creative website all worked great. One of the only "Plug N Play" installs I've had that was trouble free. With the Windows start up wav I could tell the difference, playing a CD was phenomenal. Worth every cent of the $18 I spent for it!

"Garbage", This, for me, was a clear example of getting what one pays for-- even less than what I paid for. The card worked for 2 weeks and then there was no sound. I tried every conceivable way to get the card to work, including new drivers, turning off integrated sound on the motherboard, and working with Dell technical support. What finally got back the sound was removing this sound card from my computer. Junk!

"Perfect for my somewhat focused needs", I bought this for music & movies, that's it, so for my needs this one works perfectly. I'm not a gamer, so can't speak for its use there. But the way I always test this stuff is to put on some of my favorite jazz albums and hear how clearly all the subtle notes are picked up - and I was actually a bit surprised how good it was, considering the money I paid. And now I'm happy I didn't spend much more, because I doubt I would be able to tell the difference. So yeah...good stuff.
