"Great Night Time Keyboard"
This is a great lighted keyboard: the red back lite is adjustable and plenty bright enough, size is perfect and hand rest works well. Only minor quibble would be that some letters could be larger for easier reading but if you touch type you wouldn't even notice.

"Saitek backlit keyboard"
The Eclipse by Saitek is one of the best keyboards I've used. The backlit keyboard is sharp and easy on the eyes.

"Great keyboard"
I think this is best back lit keyboard for the price. It glows really bright when it's dark and is still very noticeable in a well lit room. I get compliments from everyone who uses it. I have had it for 7 months and haven't had any problems with the paint coming off yet and I don't think I will have any. I would agree that the keyboard doesn't tilt up that much at least compared to normal keyboards but for me it's perfect when the flaps are folded out. The wrist guard works very well too. I have never used one before but I think it has actually improved my typing.

"Awesome gaming keyboard"
The Saitek Eclipse Backlit keyboard is awesome. Most of my gaming is done at night in a darkened room. I am not a touch typist, so having the keys light up is fantastic. I play Call of Duty 4 and my scores have doubled since I got the keyboard. The keys are soft and work well on none gaming functions as well. I've seen the blue-lit keyboard in action, and the red-lit keys are definitely the way to go.

"Best backlit keyboard, for the price"
Comfortable to use, very quiet to type on. Letter brightness is adjustable, but could stand to be brighter. I didn't want to take a chance on the lettering wearing off like some people talked about, so I followed the advice of another reviewer of putting clear coat nail polish over the keys and it worked like a charm. No signs of letter wear after over a month of heavy use. Very basic, very comfortable keyboard. For the price, it really can't be beat (as back-lit keyboards go). The downside? It didn't come in green, so I had to get a different board for myself to match my current pc motif, but my wife enjoys it along with her matching red Razer mouse.

Never had a single problem with this device.

What our customer's say!

"I like this keyboard", I definitely think this is a good keyboard for those who want an awesome illuminated keyboard, but don't really want to spend lots of money. The keys are easy to type with and the glow is just right. For sure the Red is better than the blue. I recommend it :) Works fine for me and I do a lot of writing.

"great keyboard", I have had mine about a year now and it still works great. The only negative is the incline is too low. It has a great soft feel key action that is really easy to type with. I would recommend this to anyone.

"Great addition to gaming rig!", I bought this keyboard nearing on a year ago, and I still love it. I was going for a black silver and red motif for my new computer, and this fit in absolutely perfectly.

The keys are smooth and quiet, and the red backlight however useless since I type by touch, gives the aesthetic appeal that I wanted! I also hate the average modern keyboards having piles of useless specialized buttons that I'll never use, so I'm a bit of a minimalist--but this keyboard is just perfect; the volume buttons in the top right corner are relatively useful, and are out of the way, so I don't mind them too much.

The only gripe I have with this keyboard, is that the silver paint on the keys is starting to flake off a little bit. Otherwise, I am extremely pleased with this purchase!

"Almost perfect", It looks really good in dim light. If you like your computer space brightly lit, you probably don't need this. I bought the one with blue lighting and it is hard to read some of the keys. Maybe I should have gotten red?

"Great Keyboard", I'm using this keyboard right now. I've had it for a year or so, and I love it. As some reviewers said, there are no media controls, but if you're like me, you prefer to not have them because they're just extra buttons that get in the way. For me, this is a perfect keyboard with nice key action and simple design. As for the backlighting, i don't think I'll buy another keyboard in the future if it doesn't have backlighting. That is the main reason I bought this board, and it is even more useful than I thought. Honestly, who would rather play games with the lights on? I've bought two keyboards in the time I've had this, and both times switched immediately back to the Saitek. I'm going to buy another one for my second PC. I hope this review helped, cheers!

"A very good keyboard with one (kinda big) problem", I have now had this keyboard for a year, and I am very impressed with one huge exception: much of the paint on the more oft-used keys has rubbed completely off. Now, considering I'm not new to the typing thing, this isn't a logistical issue so much as an aesthetic one. I can live without seeing A, S, D, E, R, T, C, and L, but I shouldn't have to. One year is not the life expectancy of a forty dollar keyboard, and it should look nicer than this.

A related issue I have is the viewable angle for the shift functions of the number keys. On the keys themselves, the exclamation point all the way down to the close parenthesis are very difficult to make out from my natural viewing angle. When the light is on (whether bright or dim), the top portions of the characters are dark while the bottom portions are lit (this is especially bothersome for keys 3-7, which all have kinda-pointy/kinda-round shift functions that are difficult to distinguish). I have to look from directly above them in order to see them clearly, or turn the backlight off, which kind of defeats the purpose of getting a backlit keyboard.

Other than those issues, the keyboard is pretty good. I like the action of the keys, it's far quieter than some other keyboards I've had, the key texture and shape are nice, the volume controls are helpful, and the backlit is pretty neat-looking. If it weren't for visual aspects, I would give this keyboard five stars, but "looks like butt after a year" demotes it to three.

"Nice Keyboard.", Keyboard is awesome. I can use it in pitch black and it's bright but not overpoweringly bright - it's at the perfect level, plus you can take it to half-strength or turn it off entirely if you wish. Doesnt feel cheap at all and doesnt click loudly either. Great product.

":-)", It is what I had expected, nice, heavy, quiet, inexpensive and durable keyboard. The light is nice, even for someone who can type without looking at the keyboard. It's got a wow effect, and has coolness about its being. Don't by it anywhere other than Amazon. I am an IT guy, I shopped around in places I knew to look. At the time Amazon was and is the cheapest. Run from CCity, they claimed this keyboard was on sale. FOR ONLY $60 DOLLARRRRRS.
Haven't tried the included wrist rest yet.
I would by another, if I needed one. :-)
I would like to see the blue lit.

Dude on his compood

"Great keyboard.", standard layout, backlit keys with two brightness settings, Volume down, up, or mute buttons, and a funky shape.
I love it.
Silent keys, easy press. Very nice.
thanks

"Nice Keyboard", I've been really pleased with this keyboard since I purchased it. I've always used a red and black color scheme for my computer and it can get hard to find matching accessories sometimes.

I really like the light button. It allows you to tone down the brightness or to turn it off. All the keys seems to light up pretty even across the board; you can really see how bright this thing gets with the lights off! The volume controls are handy too, though I have to say I preferred having the mini-knob for adjusting volume better, as I've had on previous keyboards. The cord is a fairly decent length too, I'm really glad it's not another ps2 connection keyboard. I really like the design as well, with the visible bolts and the odd shape of the board.

Other than that, not a whole lot else to say about it really. It's a very nice keyboard and I've been pleased with it so far.
