Others say...
"It works but..." You better buy a car stereo with a line in audio jack, thats quality, this is not enough, lacks on sound quality...
"Quick battery use, average signal" This works. Bottom line. But battery is drained quickly and the signal fades sometimes as well.
I would suggest this as an entry level item.
"your own music everywhere a radio is not far!" Works great! You have to keep in mind that first you screw off your antenna in order to improve the transmitting quality (no other radio frequencies will be received, that could disturb listening to your music). Second: give the transmitter a few seconds to arrange radio frequency. Then it will work out in a perfect way and the Ipod has enough power to operate the transmitter for some hours. Great!
"Kensington Digital FM radio/transmitter for iPods" The transmitter was exactly what I needed. It works very well with my iPod which allows me to listen to FM stations on my iPod. I had checked every local store and even purchased what I was told would work only to discover it did not. So I was very hesitant to purcahse this online. But I am a pleased customer. It was delivered in a matter of days. Thank you.
"This one actually works!" After a previously bad experience with another FM transmitter, I looked around Amazon, read more reviews, and decided to try this one. Whatdyaknow, I finally found a decent FM transmitter!
In the city, with all the overhead wires, big buildings, radio broadcasting, etc., there's plenty to overwhelm the airways and make finding a good empty FM station hard. This little gadget is powerful enough to work even on stations that have a bit of bleed-through. Reception is great, static is minimal and easily ignored, and it's small enough to make transporting and using it very easy.
It does have a couple or three downsides that stop me from giving it five stars. It feeds off the iPod's battery, for one, which, for short trips isn't much of a problem, but for long ones it could end up being bothersome. It plugs in to the place where the iPod charges up, so you can't charge the iPod and use this at the same time. Lastly, while reception is pretty good, the best reception tends to be on a direct line of site path to the car radio, and unless you've got a passenger with you to hold up the iPod -- or you're just that good driving one handed -- you have to settle for a bit less than stellar reception and toss the iPod on the seat next to you, or in the ashtray, or in the change well, or wherever else the iPod might be in a sorta-kinda stable position for broadcasting.
Still, I can live with those three downsides because I tend to use this for fifteen to thirty minute trips. If I have to make trips longer than that, my opinion of this may fall. But for now I'm pretty happy with it and I'd recommend it to anyone else in the city who's looking for a good FM transmitter.

What our customer's say!
"Not get my cashback till now", I bought it 1 year ago and it had $40 cashback but till now I havn't receive the cashback.
"Has Worked Great for Over Two Years!", I bought this transmitter two years ago after getting frustrated with a bulky cradle transmitter that had to plug into my cig lighter. After using this Kensington model, I don't know why they even make other kinds!!
It works fabulously. No wires, no cradles; just snap it on, find a static channel, and I'm done. In my experience it "holds on" to blank channels a lot longer than other transmitters, so I have to switch channels less. (I use it driving from Central Texas to Louisiana and back - not a short trip, with a lot of radio stations in between.)
I do wish it could charge my iPod, but for the simplicity and ease of being wireless I don't mind giving that up.
"bad bad product", It took a few attempts to make it work, and when it finally did, the reception was quite poor. However, after 3 weeks it stopped transmitting and became useless. You get what you pay for. Get a better one!
"Great transmitter", This was a great product and at a great price. It gets a little too static-y for music sometimes. If I hold it on my lap it is better for some reason but I think this can be a little unsafe while driving. It is perfect for listening to spoken word/audio books/podcasts though. It is hard to find empty stations and I am still not sure that the search function works.
"Great buy", This was perfect, if you do not plug in when you are not using it, it do not use a lot of battery, the problem is if is plugit even the car is turn of.

Read this reviews before You buy...
"works great", This is the only item of it's kind that I could find that offers an FM radion receiver in addition to the transmitter. I don't use the transmitter much, but the receiver works very well. Would definately recommend.
"Good FM Radio Transmitter for iPod", This is a good digital FM radio transmitter for iPods. I have the new classic iPod (80 GB) and it responds very nicely to this FM radio transmitter. I haven't experienced any freezing like I did with my last transmitter. The buttons are all functional and easy to use, the screen is bright and large enough to read easily. Fits nicely into my iPod without coming loose. So far, this product fits my needs perfectly. You're going to get some static like you do with all FM radio transmitters.
"Stays on IPOD battery", The best thing I like about this product is that it stays on the IPOD battery power. I like depleting the juice all the way down and then recharging and I have had my IPOD for over 2 years and the battery plays at work contionously for over 9 hours. I use this transmitter when driving. The sound is definitely reduced compared to plugging into a tape deck or plugging directly into a on board port. Overall it is a good unit and worth getting especially when you drive multiple vehicles around town.
"Exactly what I wanted", I ordered this product a few weeks ago and it works great. It's powered by the iPod itself and produces a good signal for your car (or home) stereo to receive. It can be challenging (especially in a big metro area like Denver) to find an FM frequency without interference from broadcast stations. I found one, and it generally works well, although there is some minor interference from power lines.
It also works well for receiving FM in the gym I go to. I've had no issues listening to them.
My wife likes it enough that I just ordered a second one for her. It's not a perfect product (hence 4-stars), but it's very functional and comes at a great price.
"Great for the car!", This is exactly what I needed to listen to my iPod in the car. It is easy to connect and doesn't drain the battery. I need to turn my car radio speakers up very high, but that's no problem. When I am on a high bridge, there is a little interference from other stations, but that's no big deal, either. It is much safer than having ear phones in my ears while driving. The radio part is a little tougher to rate highly. The signal must be very strong to get a clear signal. It's great to have both a transmitter and a radio in one device!
