"Back off man, I'm a scientist", This film is at least as funny, if not more funny, as when it first aired in 1984. 3 parapsychologists of varied interest and sincerity discover there truly are ghosts. When they are kicked out of the university and forced to work in the private sector they are met with surprising success. It turns out a spirit assault is being leveled against humanity and these brave souls along with some hired help will stand against the forces of a nether world.

"Like comfort food.", Ghostbusters is still a silly, feel-good film I can watch over and over again. I must admit this supernatural movie used to creep me out when I was little but I like the energy the cast brings to the film. Bill Murray sure cracks me up, love his sarcasm and body language. Dan Aykroyd and Sigourney Weaver also bring great strength to the film. You've got to see this '80s classic, what are you waiting for... buy it today!

"Ghostbusters", My 5 & 3 year old boys LOVED it, and now want to be Ghostbusters for Halloween. I wasn't sure they would like it as much as I did as a high schooler in the 80's....EXCELLENT!

""I know exactly what to do.On three.One, two, three...GET HER!"", Join Harold Ramis, Dan Akroyd, Ivan Reitman and Bill Murry in the all time 1984 classic Ghost Busters! I saw this film what seems like eons ago in the theater and it is as funny to watch today as it was then. Three university scientists get kicked off of campus to do what Dr. Vankman believes they were meant to do, "go into business for ourselves". So begins the birth of Ghost Busters, the only paranormal exterminators in the state of New York, let alone the entire nation. The sultry Sigourney Weaver also makes her presence as the women having ghoulie ghost problems in her apartment refridgerator and the ghost readings they get in the city of New York only spell disaster. A little run in with an uptight EPA rep and the world coming to an end, the city of New York call on the only ones left they think can save them. An all out epic battle with a resurrected god in the form of the Stay Puff Marshmallow Man wreck havoc on downtown Manhattan. The climatic ending complete with laughs and the best FX of the day makes Ghost Busters a fun filled film for the entire family. Don't hesitate, this is a film that all can enjoy for years, don't pass up a winner like this one. I promise you won't regret it.

"Where's part three???", I love this movie!!!!!!!!
I love Halloween and ghosts, so of course I knew I'd like this move.
Spooky and fun without any being your typical horror gross fest.
Ghostbusters has a great story, great acting, and excellent directing.
What's not to like about this move?
It's fun, lighthearted, funny and is one movie I never tire of seeing.
It would be nice after all these years if they'd FINALLY make part three.
With the FX available now, I'd love to see what modern filmmakers would do with the franchise.
Highly recommended.

"William Atherton and Timothy Carthart are not the stars of this film", Amazon's computerized habit of listing the actors in a film alphabetically makes listing the cast of a film often ludicrous. According to this page, "Ghostbusters" stars William Atherton and Timothy Carhart, and features Jodran Charney, Joe Crillo, and Alice Drummond.

They've managed not to mention that "Ghostbusters" stars Bill Murray, Dan Ackroyd, Harold Ramis, Rick Moranis and Sigourney Weaver. (And Ackroyd even starts with an "a" - how'd you miss him, computer?) I wish Amazon could find a way to list the stars of a movie. "Ghostbusters" is famous. But there are films that aren't that have this misleading listing of actors in small parts just because they're at the beginning of the alphabet. Oh well.

"Ghostbusters" is a fun, silly comedy, and I especially enjoy Bill Murray and Rick Moranis and the gorgeous Sigourney Weaver, who looks great in the film and is appealing as "regular girl friend material," until she becomes possessed by the evil spirit "Zuul," in which sections she is very funny. (And her behavior causes Murray to say, "Oh, Zuul, you nut."

Anyway, a fun movie.

"A Classic '80's Comedy...", They don't make them like this anymore. Bill Murray, Dan Aykroyd, Harold Ramis, and Ernie Hudson bring "Ghostbusters" to paranormal comedic heights. The movie starts with an ominous tone, but travels straight into comedy with one of the best comedy scenes ever with Bill Murray testing two university students for "the effects of negative reenforcement on ESP ability". The comedy (and the supernatural suprises) grow from there.

It's a fine example of comedy with a heart, with a soul. The kinds of comedy I wish was still around in movies today.

"Better than Gremlins", I first saw this when I was about 7 to ten year of age and I have loved it since. They also have three epsiodes from the tv series for sale on line uou can get the these episodes all together at once for about 21 to 40 dollars with the shiping fee include maybe less if you get them used version of them and don't get them in like mint condition or better cause they charge more the better condition it's in. I bought this together with the sequel ghostbuster II yesterday at blockbuster for $18 with the tax included. Unfortunately I didn't realize until today that blockbuster ripped me of they charge me about 50% more than what amazon was charging. To be more precise amazon was only charging 8 to 12 dollars for the two of them together if you got them in decent conditon block buster charged me about 18$ dollars because they were in new condition and were not preused. This movie was a classic and had phonimal special effects for its time back in the 1980s when computer special effects were still somewhat primative compared to what they are in the newer movies like the Terbitha remake. You should watch this if you really like these actor especially Rick Moransis who unfoprtunately recently dieded unfortuantely do to and overdose to some kind of drug or something like that. A word of warning though this movie has some mild violence and scary images in it and some what heavy amount cursing compared to the amount that usually is modern pg rated movies. As a result of the following this movie might not be appropriate or maybe questionable to kids under the age of 12 depending on whhat the parents or guardianns thiks is appropriate for there age. If you like this I also recommend Gremlins I and II and the Criters quadriology if you are 13 years of age or older.

"the perfect comedy hit", I find the movie highly entertaining, but what really knocks my socks off is how the script has many lines that incorporate the metaphysics of modern life better than any reality-based attempt to describe what life is like. The slim chance of success that "crossing the streams" produces, facing a gigantic "Stay Puft" marshmellow man, a building in New York City that is spook central, the "Get him out of here" line applied to a fruitbasket from the EPA, and the frightful technology of capturing ghosts after the first attempt in the New York City Public Library was so scary and the main character got slimed in the second attempt in a New York City hotel, the messes that everything created: all of it is still so apt.

"Who are you going to call?... Ghostbusters", WOW! Ivan Rightman's best film yet! this movie is cool, scary, insane, and funny. What I thought was the creepest things were those black and brown red eyed horned dogs named Vinz Clortho and Zuul. And Gozer the owner of them, Gozer is the destructor! If you seen and liked The Blues Brothers starring Dan Aykroyd, you'll like this film co-starring Dan aykroid. And did forget to say that Bill Murry is in it too! See this film before it's too late! YOU HAVE TO SEE THIS FILM!!! Also see the film Ghostbusters 2.
