"Good for designers", For under 300 bucks this is a nice little 3d package. It has a great terrain maker and sky creater that in a few clicks you can have realistic sky and ground. Some of the modeling tools take some getting used to if you come from any other 3d packages. I still prefer modeling in max. It has a tree maker which is OK if you need them. Some crutial shortcuts are missing from max, that really bugged me. Namely, each time i want to move or rotate the camera I have to go over to the toolbar and select tthe appropriate tool instead of using keyboard short cuts and the right mouse button. That's a serious speed impedment.

This is a good package for graphic designers who want some quick 3d objects or text to use in their projects but dont want to shell out the cash for big name products like max. Creating 3d text and effects is pretty simple and the program runs pretty well on my machine. Partner this with the new book and you've got a great deal.
