"You'll need the patience of an angel to get through these books"
The Rapture and biblical prophecy are fascinating subjects that could be the basis for a roller coaster modern story. Unfortunately the authors dilute the potential with long, boring, inconsequential text. I trudged through the first 2 books, then finally threw in the towel on the 3rd after reading a *chapter* describing a traffic jam! The best of this series could be distilled to just a few books but, keeping with the theme, it's already too late...

"Leave this false rapture teaching behind"
Leave this false rapture teaching behind. Read Carl Olson's "Will Catholics be left behind?" Totally debunks the "Rapture" and these books.

"Left Behind #2"
I ordered this book for my Son. He was very pleased with this book. It arrived even sooner than expected. Thank you.

"Book 2 in Left Behind"
The Left Behind Series is awesome. This book is no exception. It will hold your interest from the first page to the last. You have to read book one first though.

"Things slow down..."
In "Tribulation Force" things slow down considerably from the first book. It is probably the dullest book in the entire series, but that does not make it a bad book, and it is still integral to the series as a whole.

This book takes over where the first left off and is in between the rapture and the plagues. Buck Williams, Rayforde Steel, and Chloe Steele have all made decisions to follow Christ, but they are still trying to figure out what that means. With the help of their church pastor and Tribulation Force leader Bruce Barnes they form a group that is determined to stand against the anti-Christ despite all the odds and live a Godly life in times that will become increasingly unGodly.

Buck Williams is still working for the Global weekly and is trying to write as a Christian in w world where Christians get no respect. Hattie is put into a a position next to Nicolae which seems to seperate her more and more from God. Chloe and Buck are contemplating whether or not marriage should be an option since raising children in a world with the anti-Christ reigning doesn't seem like a good idea. Rayford's obedience is tested as he is being led to a lucrative job as being Nicolae's personal pilote.

A lot happens in this book without really happening. If anything this book is the transitional book for the series, it leads the way for the tribulation to come in and the revealing of the anti-Christ. I understand why this book has been rated lower than the others, but that does not mean it is worse than the others, it is just a little bit less eventful. However, if you enjoyed the first book, you will enjoy this one.

God Bless & *ENJOY* ~Amy

What our customer's say!

"One of the best books ever!", The whole series is great! If you didn't believe before, trust me u will believe now!

"Bad group name, good book.", Where I think the name of the Force is hokey and overblown the book in and of itself isn't bad. The characters are good and compelling the subject interesting and frightening. Esp. being a Christian, it's scarey that this could happen in my future. Obviously, it's a work of fiction, so it's not to be taken literally but as an entertainment. However, it does give an idea how people can be taken in and controlled by evil.
As for some of the characters the only one, at this point that aggrevates me is Chloe Steele. Arrogant, feministic, bitchy, and just a down right brat. Her attitude was pretty much ok in the first book...but they really blossomed her into an annoying person in this one. Where she and Buck are having a chat in her livingroom about a misunderstanding, she acts feministic but just like a spruned girl who want s a guy to read her mind. Totally ridiculous. They have Buck having all the patience in the world with her where the everyday man would've gotten fed-up with her baby antics a whole lot sooner. Yet he still wants to be with her. Whatever! Then they portray them like junior high schoolers in love. Barely touching or holding hands or kissing. Yeah, I wasn't expecting them to jump into bed together, esp. after a conversion experience but jezz! They are human, and Christianity will change your life but you're still going to have human vices and flaws...they pretend in this series that you immediately turn into a Christ-like person, no flaws, no vices. Ludicrous. Wish it were that simple. Jesus will work in your life, absolutely, but you're still human, prone to human mistakes, carelessness and desires, you have to pray and work at it. Being strong in the Lord is something you develope over time, not in the first strike of lightening.. You are NOT a perfect being. They barely touch on this. The whole courtship of Buck and Chloe was way to sedate and elementary...not realistic at all.

Overall, it was a good read, easy and entertaining.

"Tribulation Force", The book was advertised accurately and it was in fine shape when I received it.

Thanks

"A light read considering the heavy subject material", It's not hard too hard to understand why this series was so successful. It's written in a very easy to read style, the pacing is quick, the subject matter is very interesting, and it's obviously written in a style to appeal to women and men. The romance element of this book is a little strange; why in a book about the end times and the Antichrist is a romance element so prominent? (Does she like me? Does she not like me?) The book is definitely not as heavy as Randy Alcorn's Deadline (Ollie Chandler Series #1), which is more intellectually stimulating but a more challenging read. Having said that, I plan to read at least one more book in the series.

Two minor criticisms: The phone call from Eli at the end of the book was strange. When Buck had such as significant meeting with him earlier, it seems awkward to reduce Eli to a normal sounding phone conversation. The last 10-15 pages were awkward too. Why fast forward 18 months and change so many characters' situations so quickly?

"Slightly better than the first, but still awfull", Yes, I read this one too, hoping that somehow it would be better. It was but it is still unbearable. I sincerely do not care about the teaching - it's all in the technique. The same thoughts of the characters are related over and over and over, it hits you over the head with LaHaye's views, it's really just horrible. There is plenty of other good and even great eschatological fiction out there, much even from the same theological perspective. Invesitgate that instead.

I tried reading the third book as well but could only make it half way through before I decided to stop punishing myself, so I did not write a review for it.

"It's just ok", Okay, the first book I read in no time, but this one is taking so long. I really can't say much else except it's slow. And if it wasn't part of the series, I probably would stop reading. Please tell me it gets better again in book 3.

"Just one more book in the all-encompassing, enthralling, and utterly absorbing Left Behind Series", From the very first letter of the alphabet that my eyes looked upon inside this series of books, until the very last period of the very last sentence, I was hooked. Each one of these books absorbed my attention like no other book has ever done in my life. Biblically sound, theatrically entertaining, and brilliantly written, the Left Behind books will inspire you to dig into God's word and take the pieces of news from your T.V. screen and match them right smack-dab up with the prophecies of the Bible. Your hair will stand up, your heart will race, and you will find yourself helplessly caught in the suspense. Once you finish one of these books, you will desperately race to your computer screen or your local library to pick up the next one!

Auther of It All Began... When Jesus Gave Me Sneakers

"Tribulation Force", Great story line. Lots of drama. The Bible is very clear about what will happen in a macro sense at the end of the age. This series portrays what could happen to real people in a micro sense at the end of time. While fiction, I would not be at all surprised if much of what is in the book actually transpires immediately after the rapture. Highly recommend.

"It's so slow.", I read the first one and gave it three stars because I don't think it sends out a great message to people. I won't go into how unacurate or anything like that this time. I've said it already. This time I'll focus on the book.
The book goes nowhere until the last two chapters. You think I'm kidding no I'm not. Chloe and Buck share a cookie and Buck and Ray get jobs with the Antichirst. That is the first half of the book, literally. Ray gets married to Amanda who is hardly in the books at all. What I don't get is that one of the reasons Ray couldn't go to heaven was that he wanted to cheat on his wife. He meets Amanda after Irene left this world, but he knows he'll see here in 7 years. Why on earth would he marry someone when he knows he and Irene will get together again. Shouldn't he remain faithfull to his wife when he knows that was one of the reasons. The point is it would be different if she had actually died, but she didn't in the traditional sense and unlike others whose partners have died Ray knows he'll see her again. Maybe I just don't see the point of Amanda.
Actually I didn't see the point of half the stuff in this book that was way too long.

"Tribulation Force: The Continuing Drama of Those Left Behind (Left Behind No. 2)", My Husband doesn't read much and he loves this series of books. Highly recommend.
