"Good game, but it definitely has issues", I have been a big fan of the Harvest Moon games for a long time... I have bought every single one that they brought out for the PS2 Platform.. So needless to say when I heard that they were finally coming out with a Harvest Moon game for the DS I was exhilirated! The only reason I dropped this game down on both ratings to 4 is because the game freezes up on me at least twice a week... It will also sometimes have my farmland on the game scrambled and my character can't walk around and till, water or plant crops in the soil. Sometimes if I just go inside my house and come back out, the scrambled screen will go away, but 50% of the time I have to turn the DS off and restart it. I have never had this happen with any of my other Harvest Moon games. Even with this, the rest of the game is quite engaging. It will not deter me from buying newer Harvest moon games on any of the platforms... I plan on buying future DS Harvest moon games as well.

"Boring, confusing and frustrating...", This game frustrated the hell out of me. I chopped up wood and stuff for awhile and tried to make things grow but really didn't succeed. I didn't really know what to do next and wasn't enthralled with growing things or the gameplay so I quit and escorted my copy to gamestop for reselling. You can get it there :)

"fun but frustrating", I really like this game, but the glitches froze my screen numerous amounts of times, eventually you get used to it. I am 14 and I have had this game for a long time, glitches are routine for my game, but the game is one of the best, it has the layout of 'a wonderful life' and the look of 'more friends of mineral town'. I have almost all of the harvest moon games and this one is a great addition.

"This should never have been released", I wish I could say this product was a great addition to my collection, but I can't. The fact is that any fun that could be had with this game is quickly overtaken by the sheer number of fatal bugs to be found.

Case in point? I only got to about halfway through my first season when the save file became corrupted and was unable to load. Although I didn't get that far in the game, having lost my progress was enough to make me turn the game off forever.

In the short amount of time I played, I experienced a number of freezes and other bugs. After looking around on the Internet, I discovered that there were several of these relatively "minor" bugs (but only in the sense that your game was not eternally lost-- in no way should a released product freeze the way this one did). There are also a few of the "fatal" ones as well. It's ridiculous.

I would suggest Harvest Moon DS Cute instead of this one. DS Cute has all the fun with none of the bugs. It's everything this game should have been.

"Total and Absolute Fun", Harvest Moon Ds will keep you playing for hours! The naughty witch princess accidently made the harvest goddess and all the harvest sprites disappear. It's up to you to find them all! In this game you get not only a free dog but also a free black cat!! Aww, it's so cute! Getting married is really fun! But it's kinda weird since you play as a boy and marry a girl (I'm a girl) But the babies are really cute! The town is alot better than in the GBA! It is much bigger and the graphics are enhanced! Pick up this game and get ready for a farming adventure of your life! Be sure not to litter, it makes people not like you! You can not marry the goddess or the witch.

"Best DS Game EVER!!!", Harvest Moon is SOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOOO FUN! My dad ordered it right here from Amazon.com and after reading the reviews I was scared it would be WAY too glitchy. After I got it in the mail I didn't have any glitches exept after two weeks of playing it but I only had one tiny glitch, all you have to do is save every now-and-then and you won't have a problem.

Hint:If you buy this game and you want to buy a cow DON'T buy a fodder animal shelter, even though it is the cheapest!!! I bought one and it collapesed and killed my cow!

"Super Fun! There's soo much to do!", Havest moon ds is really fun!!! It was the first game I bought for my ds. There are soo many things to do!!! And there are no glitches. I dont know why people keep saying there are so many glitches.. and if there are, theyre minor glitches.
But if you play for too long.. it kind of gets boring, but still, its a great game, and its one of the cheapest. xD

"A Kids Review", This Game is really great. But since i got this game it has frozen about 5 times. I have had to redo my settings about 4 times. But this is a awesome game. I cannot wait for Island of Happiness to come out.

"Good at first . . .", When I first got this game for my DS, I was addicted. It was my favorite game. But there are definitely some drawbacks. Like many of the other reviews stated, there are a lot of glitches and this game is a lot more likely to freeze than most other games. Secondly, the way the game looks isn't that great in my opinion; the graphics in games such as Catz, Pokemon Diamond, and Animal Crossing are a lot better. Actually, the graphics on this game aren't that much better than those of Game Boy Advance games, and if on the game you speak to a character, the text appears and moves rather slowly. The music gets annoying after a few minutes, so I usually turn off the volume when I play this game. Another thing is the lack of WiFi. It would certainly improve the game if you could interact with other "real people." Though one can do farm chores for hours on end without getting bored, for me, the game started to get old after a while, mainly because it was hard for me and probably other amateur gamers also to find Harvest Sprites, and a lot of the game's features (such as getting married and having a child)are closed to those who haven't yet found all 60 of them, and doing the same farm chores and talking to the same people gets old after a while. It was fun while it lasted, but Animal Crossing: Wild World, in my opinion, is a much better choice for a "daily life" game.

"its ok...", This game is fun for the most part, I haven't gotten the freezing glitches some others are getting, but theres a different thing i get, i dont know if its a glitch but it is frustrating... I work hard to impress a girl, then its up a few hearts, then when i go to bed and get up the next morning that girl's hearts are back down to zero... it's like i never even impressed her at all but i did. its frustrating to get a girl up to 5 hearts or something, then to have her just nothing the next day... haha it reminds me of the movie "50 first dates" when that guy has to keep on trying to make her fall in love with him every day because she has short term memory loss. well it seems like I'm the only one with these problems, so have fun if you decide to get this game.
