The iTrip is a great device for listening to iPods in the car. It is nice and clear when it broadcasts on a blank station.

It works on all cars, old radios, and anything with FM.

It uses the iPod battery, so that's one less thing to worry about. It also only turns on when the iPod plays music. It is good energy saver.

Some people may have trouble finding stations. This website help with that. It finds the best radio station and it works!

It has decent range but keep in mind that some cars have their antennas at the back of the car, so if someone is not in the backseat it may be a problem. If the antenna is at the back and the iPod is at the front, the audio quality won't be too good.

Don't forget the iPod when you leave the car!

I like the griffen ITRIP for all the obvious reasons, it is wireless which makes it easy to grab your ipod when jumping in someone elses car, or even at work when the radio SUCKS you can just use that....etc.

it DOES drain the battery though, only downside to it, but that is expected of this type of device. I do know that there are ITRIPS that come with the adaptor cord, mine didnt. so you may want to email the seller to find that out ~ although, i didnt expect mine to anyway.

all in all, i think it is a decent buy!

I had this trasmitter for 2 years. It outperformed my firends and families transmitters by being compact, no cords unless you want to charge it. The transmitting wire is on the outside which gives it a stronger signal even though it runs off the Ipods power. The only drawback is that....it runs off the Ipods power and drains it after a good day of driving, unless you plug it in to a mini USB port cigarette lighter power thingy which you can grab at radio shack. I had to buy another one because I pulled the wire out of it not realizing it was the transmitter cable......not my brightest moment. But just press play and within 4-5 feet of my radio I had crystal clear music with NO STATIC. I could pass it around my car without interruption and people could play what they liked. Excellent product, dont tear the transmitting wire out!

The iTrip FM transmitter is very convenient because you don't have to plug it into the car. I love how easy it is to just plug it into my iPod and it works instantaneously. The signal of the transmitter, however, is not that great. You have to put your iPod really close to the antenna of the car in order for you to not get as much static. Also, don't touch the metal part of the transmitter while it's transmitting because it causes more static.

I personally like this device that's why the rating but other customers who are conserned more with the sound quality of their music I wouldn't recommend, not many issues with the product and overall it's awesome.
