"wish there was a 7 star rating at least", I have used this program for a couple of years now and in between those I have used different versions of Corel Craw , Photoshop CS,CS2,CS3 and Illustrator CS,CS2, and I might be forgetting another program that I used in the late 90's. Well.. with all that said I cant even think to live without Freehand MX , I dont understand how this was not continued by Adobe after the Merge/Buy or Macromedia.

Freehand is possibly my favorite program from all the above mentioned. Maybe except photoshop because photoshop is too essential to do with out. If you know how to use this program .. if you are creative, if you are good .. this program is so easy and strong and perfect. There are so many things you can do with this program that you cant do with illustrator or photoshop or any other program. Creating 2D wiring ,line art,tracing,vector art etc etc with Illustrator is a drag,takes more time and annoying to get less accuracy with not much initial freedom.

FH MX's work can be transported to Photoshop , Illustrator,In Design,Font Creator.. etc etc.. programs are endless. If your art/graphics are based using "Filters" or "Effects" and you are just used to pressing buttons to have all your work done .. then this is not a program for you.This is program is for those who are used to draw on a regular basis and CAN draw on a real piece of paper or canvas.Overall... CG wise the only 2 programs I would have in my arsenal would be Freehand MX and Photoshop CS3 ( CS2 if you dont have it).I will continue to use FH MX for years to come .. unless something better comes out.

"Adobe Freehand MX", The latest (last?) Freehand upgrade as published by Adobe retains all of the benefits of Freehand 10 (the intuitive pen tool with the Control - Alt modifiers, the ability to drag objects from Freehand to InDesign, multipage documents), but notably adds a much improved "properties > object" panel that gives access to all of the characteristics of any of the selected objects in a document.
The enclosed Macromedia and Adobe documentation is slim, but adequate. This program remains my favorite vector drawing program.
