"December Review", I purchased the Linksys WUSB54GC Wireless - G Adapter. The device arrived on time and in great condition. We discovered the cable accompanying the device did not work. No harm, the device fits into the USB port on the back of the PC.

"A Steal", My friend bought this for over #35 new. I got it for under $25; you do the math. I got it b/c my laptop was not strong enought to pick up wireless internet on various floors of the house. It works very perfectly, like having a router next to the laptop. Thanks amazon!

"Complete garbage", I attempted to use a WUSB54GC adapter on a Windows 2000 system which runs a (low-bandwidth) server application at startup. Unfortunately, not only does this unit take 1-2 minutes to acquire a DHCP lease -- meaning there's no usable connection when the server process is launched -- but it tends to drop the lease at random intervals once acquired. (This is in a well-characterized WiFi environment with no interferers and other reliable client installations nearby.)

Installation is poor as well; I had to uninstall and reinstall the device before its configuration service would start properly.

In short, the WUSB54GC is a real piece of junk... not recommended under any circumstances.

"Linksys Wireless-G USB Adapter", The Linksys Wireless-G Adapter is a wonderful product that comes with a CD to install the software on the computer. Though I'm saving up to purchase the Linksys Wireless-G Router, the adapter performs it's part perfectly on my computer, in that, my computer says it's connected. At present, I'm simply in need of an internet carrier, which the router will address. I researched this product before purchase and same was highly recommended. I'm happy I made the purchase and recommend this product.

"Linksys Wireless-G", Linksys are one of the good Networking products,This USB Wireless-G is a little bit bigger than my USB drive.
Pros: Easy to install, good wireless reception.

"Linksys usb adapter", arrived on time, very complecated to install, took almost 6 hrs to get it work. but once its installed, dint have any problems.

"Linksys WUSB5GC Compact Wireless-G USB Adapter", I received the Adapter promptly and started to install it. First sheet in the box said "if you have Vista operation system do not use this CD, but go to the internet to get correct driver". This could be a little problem, since the adapter is for getting to the internet. I had another computer to use to get the driver from the internet. Transferred the new driver to this computer and installed the adapter --- nothing happened. It came back "can not find driver". Tried several times and still nothing. Send at least a half day calling Linksys Tech. Assistance and going thru their phone maze and getting cut off several times, just to be told to do what I had been doing all a long. Finally someone decided it might be the unit and to send to them and they would replace it. Which I did and in about a week had a new unit. I loaded the driver I had gotten off the net and installed the adapter -- nothing !! The CD they provided with the new adapter looked just like the one I have sent in with the bad adapter, I decided to load it and installed the adapter again. It worked --- part of the time. I am about 25 feet from the router, but unless the adapter is on the extension USB chord provided and above my desk, it only works part time. It works great when I log-on, but if I leave the computer run and it go into "sleep" it will not work until log-off and log back on. Then works fine.



"USB adapter", Product works great but had to get assistance from Linksys to install. CD disc installed well but needed further instructions to make it work. Required about an hour for installation and to get it functional...

"Functional and easy to install", This took maybe 4 minutes to install -- very easy. I was hoping that the signal strenght would be better but it works just fine. My wireless laptop picks up a stronger signal than my desktop PC (on which I installed this item).

"Excellent Solution for my Desktop's Wireless Access", This product works great and was super easy to setup, took me about 2 minutes and i was online! I'm using it at my apartment for my Dell Inspiron desktop running Windows Vista OS. I have it in my bedroom, and our wireless router is a good 30 feet away in the dining room (blocked by several walls). The connection is excellent and I have had no issues at all...highly recommended !
