"Great except one thing"
I love this program!!! I used Webeasy pro 5, this is not much different, but they are both great and very very easy. The only thing I wish one could do is edit the html inside the program somehow. Otherwise it is perfect!

"Not bad at all..."
Ok - yes, its not very intuitive on a lot of things but as far as designs - its great! If you have the patience to learn the software and just not expect it to spoonfeed everything to you its quite powerful actually and I love the fact that it organizes everything for me. My opinion, its definitely a step above Frontpage. If you have issues, there's a VCOM website that you can access for technical support - they have a knowledge-base there and if you still need support you can email their techs - so far I've figured out everything myself and I feel that investment of time will pay off in the future.

"Very discouraging so far!"
I just purchased this product and was eagerly looking forward to using it, because it promised so much bang for the buck. Granted, I have only been playing with it for a couple of days, but I have very little to show for the amount of time I have spent trying to get a simple website designed. Instructions are either unclear and/or redundant. When I read the printed manual I see directions to click on something that never shows up. But the worst thing of all is that the program has locked up on me far more often than it has accomplished what I wanted to do. I have wasted much precious time shutting it down and rebooting. I couldn't even register the product without difficulty: I filled in the form twice and waited for the e-mail containing the password needed to complete this, but there has been NO e-mail from the company. When I tried the second time, it said a password had been sent to my (correct) address. But it has been two days since that attempt, and it has not appeared. One cannot get tech support unless registered, but it won't let me register! I'll be on the phone with them first thing tomorrow, but I will probably return it for a refund.

"Not so easy, if your not a web designer! You still have to learn to use the program, which takes time!"
I'm actually a web designer and it took me about a week to figure out what to do. I originally purchased this program, because I had customers come to me to put up a simple website, so I figured I use this program to easily create templated or ready-made website so I wouldn't have to charge my customers so much money. Well, because it took me as much time to create a website with this program versus using my own dreamweaver program, I decided to send the product back for a refund. I found that if I'm taking as much time to learn and create a website in the web easy program, then I rather take the time to use my dreamweaver and other web programs. Overall, you still have to take the time to navigate your way around the web easy program, it's not as simple as drag and drop. I actually found the web easy program slightly confusing, but maybe that's because I'm used to doing websites a certain way. My only advice is if you wish to try the product out, then try it for 30 days, if you don't like the program, send it back to the company. They will give you a full refund. You probably have to purchase the item new, not used as I'm not totally sure if they would refund your money on a used program? I got my refund in a matter of one month. Good luck!

"This is Easy!"
I have Dreamweaver, Go Live, and Front Page so why am I bothering with this fifty-dollar program? Because it works without the frustration that accompany the others.

I'm not a professional designer, just a small business owner who's been needing to re-do my website for some time now and have been dreading it. My wife and I built it with Front Page which is the easiest to learn of the big three but it's still a struggle to use at times.

Web Easy is far easier than Front Page but not over simplified to the point that the features you want are stripped away. Everything I need is there and easy to find and figure out.

I downloaded the free version from V-Com's website lastnight, and was able to learn it mostly just by exploring. It has a searchable help index I used once when I had a question.

I'm truly excited about using this program because it works without having to fight it! It's exactly what I was hoping for.

"WOW !!! What I really needed for creating Web Pages.", This couldn't be easier to use (after a little trial and error) after reading the tutorials. I was creating my own web pages in less than 2 hours. After a week I was publishing my pages not only for myself but my friends too. "Frustrating to work with", I have used this software for almost a year now just because I was too lazy to read the 800 pages manual of Dreamweaver (I know better now). I can't count anymore how many times it frustrated me: starting with the registration. The day I purchased the software I registered online and received an email with my activation code... then another, then another, it just didn't stop until only about two months ago. I must have now about 50 registration codes. I contacted tech support and they reply they had no idea why that was happening, they'd look into it... months later I was still receiving the codes (all different). The software is so buggy at times I just can't stand doing anything with it. Sometimes you can click in a text box and move around/deleted words with standard Windows shortcuts, sometimes you can't, no idea why. The HTML code generated is so junky that there is no possibility for any sort of personalization... I have never seen a code so dirty. Forget about connecting to an ftp server, the function just won't work properly. It takes your image files and renames them giving each one of them an unintelligible name and when you have a website with many photos you have to look at them one by one to now which one is which. If you lose (my computer drive crash 2 months ago) your Easy Web Pro data you cannot import the website that itself generated (I guess its own HTML code is such junk that the software itself doesn't understand it). Now I cannot import my website to the software and using an old Web Easy file I get lots of broken link because it can't tell which photo is which since itself changed the names.
Working with text boxes is so annoying, good luck changing color and fonts at the first shot.
Yesterday I started reading The Dreamweaver Missing Manual, there's so much in it but I already read 80 pages and look forward to start using DW and throw Web Easy away and all its frustration. I can do much more with DW, there's a reason why it's the industry standard. Even if you can't afford it, you should check out an older version, it will still work much better than (Not So) Easy Web Professional (Yeah Right!).

"Will update as I learn more", I just started using the program and have had the same problems as another reviewer - no registration code emailed to me and the program crashes at the most inopportune times, such as when I try to save my work. So far, many hours wasted, no website created. Also it does not load pre-existing websites correctly - so if you have created a website elsewhere you are stuck editing it with the original software. So far I am leaning toward returning the program. All the sample sites included cause my internet explorer to pop up the security warning on them. I do not want my customers to think I am trying to spam or spyware them. I just want a plain but informative website for them. I have tried this program, Website Creator, FrontPage, Word, and writing html from scratch. I have to say the best are scratch html and word as far as ease of use. I don't understand why all the software tries to add crazy html language that makes warnings pop up or makes things stop working.
I will update this review as I learn more and if I hear back from the company with my registration code.

"Terrific Program", I have NEVER had any experience at all with building a website and I don't know anything about software code, or programming. I bought Web Easy 6 because I wanted to try to build a personal website. At first I assumed I would have to spend days and days reading the software manual and then trying to figure out what the heck it was telling me to do. I installed the software and then, much to my great surprise (and delight), I found that it was EXTREMELY EASY to figure out. Within just a few hours I had built my first complete page! The software is LOADED with a variety of very impressive features. And, yes, it will take me time to read through the material and learn about them. But, I have to tell you, I think "Web Easy 6" is a TERRIFIC PROGRAM for creating a very slick-looking, professional website. I will note that if you buy it and install Web Easy 6, you might as well be prepared to call customer service (not toll free) to get the "Unlock Code" the software requires. The company is supposed to e-mail you this code when you register the product, but for some reason, their automatic reply email system doesn't work. You can use the software without the code, but eventually it's going to "lock-up" on you if you don't have it.

"Smoke And Mirrors", This program does not follow the instruction manual. Many times I went,"by the book" only to find out alot of dead ends. You have to spend hours to get even a simple website up. Forget trying to add music background. And tech support? Yeah right, they dont respond to your emails. You cant even call them collect! Would not buy again.



 
Read this reviews before You buy...

"Amazingly easy and precise", This program took about an hour to get used to, but when I did it blew me away. I come from a Frontpage/Dreamweaver camp and the ease of positioning things with Webeasy was so smooth. It doesn't allow direct code editing, but the CSS code it generates is flawless and very small which looked the same in all browsers I tested it with. Bottom line - I can get the look I want in about 1/5 the time as other programs. The picture tools with transparency and text drop shadows really make things streamlined. I even import the code into Frontpage sometimes and it tranfers fine. I don't think I have ever written a review here before, but this app deserves a great one.

"HORRIBLY erratic and weak, minor instructions", This program is a nightmare. I tried both the 5.0 and 6.0 and both are so badly designed it's virtually impossible to figure them out. Tools disappear after using them once, nothing remains in a default mode while TRYING to build one simple page, and the pop up instructions are inadequate and simply tell you to go to the tool bar or something else but doesn't tell you WHAT or HOW to do anything! I have never used anything so confusingly designed and gave up after attempting to read the online instructions, which are just as bad as the pop ups! Don't waste your money unless you are an accomplished webmaster...and even then, you'll loathe this quirky program.
