"Good Exercise, But Only Works With Good Lighting"
This game can really get you to work up a sweat. There are many different activities, which makes the replay value pretty high. Some of the games are pretty fun, but some I did not like. The music in the game is average at best. What brings this game down is the Eye Toy itself. In order for the camera to catch your every move, you'll need very good lighting. At my house, the camera did not catch some of my moves, which required me to repeat the same moves over. Due to this issue, I stopped playing after a few weeks. I do recommend this game for people who want to get exercise without spending a lot of money.

"Good concept, just didn't work for me."
I was so excited when I received this game, but when I started to play it...the game had a really hard time seeing my image, due to my living room being so dark. I was so sad. I will have to find a bright light to bring in there when I want to play the game. Even during the day time I had a hard time playing.

"My wife actually likes my ps2 now..."
This game is great. My wife just had our second child and she isn't always able to get into the gym. This game allows her to keep up with her fitness at home. Our teenage daughter loves it too. It's not for a small room though. You don't have to have a ton of space, but you do need some area to move around in.

"Great Product"
Very impressed by this game. The most difficult part is getting in the right spot on the camera and the lighing in the room. But the routines and different target zones are great.

"Kinetic! the workout of the future"
I feel like I am in a Sci-Fi movie when I play this. And play is the right word...I purchased the game with the camera to jump-start my working out schedule (I get married in Oct, and want to be a thinner, healthier bride). I usually get bored with anything I start, or the money is just too much. This game solves both problems. It is NOT boring in any way. I was a little disappointed with the first game I played on the 12 week program - Richochet, as the camera was not picking up all my movements, but I have since moved the camera and that seemed to solve the problem. I have now worked out for the first week (three workouts) and the system just gets better. I am having fun and am not so focused on the "OH MY I AM SO TIRED" aspect, but rather get involved with whatever the goals of the game are. In fact, after my most recent workout, I thought, Wow, I don't even feel like I worked out really -- until a day later, and the sore muscles kicked in. WOW! a work out I enjoy. !!! I definetly recommend this for kids of all ages (I'm 36)

What our customer's say!

"Fun", This is a fun game, when it works. We have a hard time getting the ourselves and the camera working the right way, but would still recommend.

"camera", sell shipped product quickly.........The camera does not always respond to movements but overall it is a cool device

"Would be Fun if I could play it.", I bought this thinking "why not?" I'm a lazy person and could be in a little better shape. Unfortunately I'm not sure if its just the new Bundle or if I just drew the short straw and got the one bad one but mine was lacking the wide angle lens. Didn't drop it, Got it new and In plastic, Searched where I opened it thinking maybe It slipped out. No, just isn't there. Of course it doesn't help that you CANNOT buy the attachment alone. I suppose they didn't take in to account situations like this or if it breaks or anything one would assume they should. And now I sit here, not playing because I can put the Camera on the wall and stand against the opposite wall and still not fit my body in the cameras view. I'm 6' exactly. I'm not short but I'm no giant, and unless I'm willing to buy a new home with bigger rooms then It looks like I don't get to use what would be a very enjoyable game/work out.

"Awesome toy", Eye Toy Kinetic With Camera

This is one nifty piece of hardware to go along with your PS2. I'd initially been looking into a Wii (cause it looked fun and my mum thought it might be good exercise), however the hefty pricetage and the impossibility to find it available was a serious discouragement. Hence the Eye-Toy. It's basically a super cheap alternative to investing in a Wii and you can use it with you already owned PS2. It works pretty well too. Just make sure you have enough space and light in the room you place it, and have at it. Granted, it doesn't have as many games or the same distinct features as the Wii. And it has a couple kinks. But it overall is an excellent experience and fun to own without dishing out a load of cash. Plus its a great way to get some exercise.

"very satisfied", i use it twice to three times weekly and its really improved my stamina. never thought a game could actually get me to feel good about myself. just wish the eyetoy didnt require such a bright room.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"game's a blast, eye toy is mediocre", Well, considering this came free with a $30 game, I can't gripe too much. For the most part the eye toy works and a workout is a workout but we did have some problems with the eye toy. If you have stuff on the wall (we have artwork) it will affect how your play is registered, especially if there's anything reflective on the artwork. Redecorating the house to comply with an eye toy, however, wasn't really a viable option so we deal with it. Also, if you have some girth, (stomach, chest etc) and you're doing some sideways exercise, it will read ANYTHING that 'touches' or 'hits' the target, so you can cause the eye toy to think you're kicking something when you're really just hitting it with your protruding stomach. Maybe this will improve with newer playstation models, for but the ps2, the eye toy is mediocre.

"Good workout but camera issues", I wanted this workout "game" to get back into shape after having a baby. It is a great workout including cardio, combat, isolation for abs, arms or legs, and mind and body including yoga and tai chi-type exercises. I love that it tells you what day to work out (and if you don't you fail that day!) and it increases the intensity of the workouts based on your previous performance. There are several different workouts in each segment so each workout is truely unique to help prevent burnout. Your workouts are assigned a letter grade based on your performance so it motivates me to get the allusive "A", which is hard to achieve (and it should be!). I am in week 8 of the 12 week program and I can definintely feel my muscles are more toned and firm after not working out for a year. I love that Nike helped produce the game.

I recommend this game to anyone; however, I have issues with the eyetoy camera. You would think I would get how the camera works after 8 weeks but I still have problems. Sometimes it indicates that I touched something I was nowhere near, and sometimes it takes me 2 or 3 tries for it to register that I touched something. You're still getting the workout, but I'm working towards getting a good letter grade. I want credit for what I'm doing right. The combat exercises are frustrating as I have a hard time believing I'm not punching hard enough and often receive a 0 score. I've started working out at night as the sunlight from the windows makes the camera less responsive. There have been a couple of times that I've walked to the left of the screen and my body triggered the "try again" button after a cardio workout...so I had to do the 10 minute workout again as history has shown when I try to exit out of it, the game fails me for the day for quitting.

All in all I'm happy with the workouts, but just know that the camera takes some getting used to. I hope others have better luck with it than I have. My husband does the 12 week program also and he's lost 10 pounds and I've lost 9.

"Phenomenal Product***", Wow - that's all I can say. All the positive reviews really piqued my interest on this 'game'. Just got it a few days ago, and am SO IMPRESSED with all that's packed into it!!! It also teaches proper form for a ton of different toning and stretching excercises. This is going to become a regular part of my workout regimen. People of all fitness levels can enjoy this. This technology (interactive virtual trainers/serious home workouts) has got to be the wave of the future!!!

"Total body work out, without the high monthly fees of a gym.", Got this for Christmas and absolutely love it! It works for everyone on any work out level, even for beginners.

There are two types of work out:

1. Routine Builder - basically you are on your own you get to pick exercises you are interested in.
2. Personal Trainer - basically you follow a 12 week program. It tracks your progress, it tells you when it is your rest day to avoid over exhaustion, it has a guide/advice on proper posture, breathing and technique. It has a good amount of stretching exercises in the beginning and end of each sessions. It even enhances balance of mind and body...very much like yoga. It also combines fluid movements like Tai Chi, rhythmic dance moves and kick boxing moves.

Needless to say, I love this game! If you're looking for a good sweat without the high fees of the gym, this is the game for you.

"Excellent software!", I bought this game not as a video game but so I could have my own personal trainer without paying for a gym membership. I am two weeks into my 12 week routine and I LOVE it. The software is very well done and it really does have "real time feedback." If I'm leaning forward when I'm not suppose to while doing an exercise the trainer will say "try standing up straight." I am definitely getting a great work out. 10 more weeks and I'll let you know if it did any good or not. So far it seems to be helping.

I love that it builds on itself so that by week 12 you are doing more routines that are more intense. The one drawback is the camera is really sensitive - I have to make my kids leave the room because if they walk around in the background it picks up their movements and lowers my score.

If you hate the gym but have always wanted your own personal trainer "Kinetic" seems to be the way to go!
