"I love my mac account!", There were some problems while mac went to me but now the bugs are taken care of and it has been a pleasure using my mac account

"MobileMess", I got this in anticipation of using it with my iPhone. It has been a nightmare and Apple provides ZERO support. There are still thousands of people who haven't had email access for over 10 days and some have completely lost all their emails. This just goes to highlight that when things work, Apple is great but when it fails, they don't care and WILL NOT respond.

"very good OS", This product has a lot of good solid content along with some frills many can really get into. OS 10.5 after the updates provided free by Apple is very responsive with very few problems. Some leading edge apps. dominate the personal computer uses. Easy to navigate. Easy to understand and intuitive for the not so geeky operator with plenty of pizazz for the informed computer wizard. To bad these things change so fast and cost so much, thats life in the intelligence era. A must have OS for today if you are a mac guy or girl.

"Best deal available", Now that .mac has become MobileMe, this is even a better deal than before. If you've been thinking about subscribing but were doubtful of the price/value ratio, this deal makes it easier to decide to try for a year.

"Apple .Mac 5.0 [OLD VERSION]", Great product as always, but NO DVD came in the package from Amazon, but description said it was too?

"Great!", .Mac is great. Ties everything together, if you have a mac you need to get this!

"Fourth year subscriber...", I fell into the .Mac fold when Apple granted me a one year free subscription four years ago, as a reward for my participation in a training program. Clearly they knew what they were doing. Over the years, .Mac has become my primary email account, my web hosting provider, my trusty source of documents stored online (via iDisk), my syncing solution between my iMacs at work and at home, and now, my link to a far more enjoyable experience as an iPhone owner.

Many resourceful people have found cheaper ways to kludge together cheaper or free alternative solutions that can mimic many of the benefits of .Mac, but I have yet to see a solution that bundles all these useful tools in one set-it-and-forget-it package.

.Mac has fallen short of it's true potential, but Apple seems to be working on a solution to use .Mac as a seamless solution to truly bridge all of your Apple computers via the internet with a feature built into Mac OS X 10.5 Leopard. Called "Back To My Mac", .Mac promises, but does not yet deliver, the ability for .Mac subscribers with multiple Mac computers to share documents across a network (theoretically any Macintosh computer anywhere on any network, in the world) as if you were at the keyboard of all your other computers. BTMM doesn't work for most of .Mac subscribers and I sincerely hope that Apple is directing it's powerful resources at a fix for us. .Mac has greater potential that it has yet to achieve, but on the whole, it provides a great, very utilitarian set of tools.

It's true, the $99 a year subscription rate is steep for what you get, but thanks to Amazon and it's sub-$70 price for .Mac, it's an easy, easy product to heartily recommend for all Macintosh owners... especially those with iPhones!

"Good price for .mac", This arrived within just a few days. I was able to convert my trial account to a 1-year account... I like the price compared to Apple's own website and store price as well. I only wish they would increase the storage size and everything else for this price. I think it is still a bit too expensive for what it is. The integration with OSX is really nice, though, and I will probably renew again as long as I can get it for a discounted price.

"I didn't like it", I Think dot mac is buggy, slow, small, and way too expensive. And most importantly, when it comes to a web app, It's utterly unreliable. And for that, my friend, It isn't worth even the one star rating. Sorry. And I'm a mac fan and user (Imac AND a Macbook). But this just doesn't work.

"Hard to go wrong with .mac", If you are a Mac household or even a home based business that runs on Macs, it would be hard to go wrong buying the .Mac service. Yes of course there are some aspects of free services such as google applications, yahoo or Windows live that provide some of these features, but not when you consider the entire package and how well it is integrated with your Mac experience.

One of my favorite aspects is the ability to Sync to Macs effortless over the internet. I have an iMac and a MacBook Pro and I am able to keep favorites, calendars, and settings between the two machines synced. I can even keep the same group of widgets on both Macs.

Next, I really like the space for a web page. Using iWeb you can easily create a great looking site without knowing one line of XML code. I literally had Apple as a web host and an iWeb page up within an hour or two. iDisk is very reasonable online storage, you have a virtual disk that allows your to store your treasured family photographs away from your house and a potential disaster.

Groups is an area that I want to get going soon as well, here you can have a family web page for instance or a group for your book club, soccer team or whatever. Any person that you give access to can reach it (on Mac, PC or Linix) and share important information.

The backup program I do not use much because I do have backup routines at home, but again here you could back all of your photographs or music on a regular basis (subject to the storage limit)

All and all, I'd expect Apple to continue to get m4 $100 per year
