Others say...
"great low cost MP3 player" I have two of these players and have purchased two as gifts. I was surprised at the sound quality for the price. It does not have a color screen or fancy do dads. What it does have is an easy to use interface and plenty of extra features like an equalizer, FM radio, and customizable settings.
The only downside is the durability of the housing. This will not stand up to much abuse. I've had mine for a year + now though and have not had any trouble.
The major deciding factor for my purchase (besides price) was that it is powered by a AA battery. These are easy to buy, carry and change out. I did not want a player that had to be charged at a computer or special dock. I have been very happy with this player.
"scandisk sansa m250 2 gb" we are very pleased and this is the second one of this kind in a different color. I would greatly advised for others to enjoy the fun of this mp3 player.
"It would be Great if it only turned on " From the moment I got it the m250 it had a hard time turning on. And as time went by, say 3 weeks it was extremely difficult to get the device to turn on. And there was about a week that I didn't even use the device bc I was waiting for my audiobook to come in the mail. When it came on I was thrilled with its ease of use and quality it provided, but I only expect it to get worse. If I use it then turn it off, I have to wait several hours to get it back on : / Very frustrating, but you get what you pay for.
"Cheap price for 2 GB!!" For the price and the fact that it's 2 GB make up for the small imperfections that it has. A few things I want to point out. First this unit takes AAA batteries so over time buying those AAA batteries will add up. Second SanDisk Sansa m250 2 GB MP3 Player is not designed with a flat thin body. (I guess this is more of a personal preference.) Third the sound quality is not super high-end but I am guessing in reality that most people won't know the different unless they have a higher end player. You can check the other reviewers to note a few other imperfections that I didn't mention. If you can afford it I highly recommend getting the SanDisk Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player. Sansa Clip 2 GB MP3 Player as of this writing is about $20 more than Sansa m250 2 GB MP3 Player but well worth it. To finish up let's get back to the Sansa m250 player and the price verses what you get makes it a really good value and that's why I give it a 5 stars.
"Awesome Value!!" Sandisk players are the best. I currently own 3 different units ranging in capacity from 512mb to 2gb. Loading the music is very easy and the playback quality is superb. The only drawback that I can see is that selecting a specific song for playback can be time consuming, but I usually just let them play randomly. Considering the low cost, the simplicity of use and the good sound quality, this unit is an exceptionally good choice.

What our customer's say!
"SanDisk m250 2GB MP3 player has great sound.", This might be one of the older mp3 players, but it's reasonably small, and the sound is loud and clear and it holds a lot of songs. The only problem that I've had is with loading and then maintaining my mp3s using Microsoft Windows Vista. Instead, I use Ubuntu, a free Linux operating system, which I "dual boot" on my system with Windows Vista. Booting with the Ubuntu operating system, instead of with Vista, makes loading and deleting mp3s very easy. I love the SanDisk!
"Good Price.", I received the item in a timely fashion and it was just what I needed.
"Good mp3 player", It is useful. I bought it for recording lectures and meetings. The quality of voice recorded is not bad. Besides I found it convinient playing music before sleep. However it little bit too large to fit into the pocket of jeans. I am not sure whether I can delete the tracks without connecting to the computer. I am afraid I should refer to the handbook.
"decent mp3 player", I got this player as a temporary replacement for my ipod. very easy to upload music (just drag files over); pretty straight fwd as far as controls. has a very short usb cable, which i actually really liked, cuz it didnt get tangled up and was easy to find in my pile of cables. im pretty sure i did not use *all* of it's functions simply b/c i didnt need to, and i've only used it in my car, so i cannot tell you how it handles movement. overall, i am very happy with it as a backup player.
"sansa mp3 player", product is straight forward and easy to use. I bought one for my child and really liked the features and the easy use so I bought one for myself too.

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Not bad for the price", The product is good but the arm bad that comes with it is not good when running because the player moves around. Also, the sound of the music is very low and not good. Overall not a bad player for the price, looks good, has radio and easy to put music on it.
"You don't even need a bra!", This is my first MP3 player, so I do not have anything to compare it with, but I also had no idea how to use one, and have found it to be really user friendly. I read a lot of reviews because I wanted an MP3 player that was inexpensive (I am mostly just listenting to it while I exercise.), easy to use, and would hold up decently. CNET gave this one a good review, and most all of the Amazon reviews were very favorable, too. I have had it for a couple of weeks, and for being TOTALLY clueless about using an MP3 player, this has been really easy to figure out. It was easy to load music on, easy to use, and the FM radio even seems decent. It even came with a simple case and arm-band so I don't have to stick it down my bra while I exercise!! I am very happy with the SanDisk Sansa!
"Positive", Works as is designed and well at it as that. MP3 player and FM radio work well . The only negative is the lack of a built in speaker which would be nice to check your voice recordings from time to time such as I had with another brand.
Simple to use also so it get's 4 out of 5 stars from me.
"Great little player", I got this to load books on tape onto for listening while I fish. I was astounded at how much it holds and the ease of use. My wife liked it so much that I shortly had to order a second one because she always had mine in her purse. We mixed a bunch of songs in with a couple of books and can pass the time away pleasurably anytime that we need to.
It isn't as small and cute as the newer Ipod/MP3 players and 2G isn't considered big now but it really is tiny. Why would I want 500 or a 1000 songs anyway. I'm old and can't remember what I listened too an hour ago anyway so a couple hundred is plenty! We love ours!!!
It is real easy to add and remove songs and books so I can change what is on it in a few minutes. If it was much smaller I would probably lose it or sit on it. The fidelity (there's an old word for ya) is great.
"Rugged, Barebones MP3 Player", I originally purchased the 1 GB model 2+ years ago. I use it when I run or work in the yard (10+ hrs a week). Day in, Day out this rugged little player keeps on playing. So much so that I've bought this newer model as a gift for my sister for her to use for the same purposes.
Sound Quality is exceptional. I'm on my 2nd set of earbuds. The little wires broke at the hook in to the player. I found it wise to loop the earbud wire around the player leaving some slack so that the inadvertent pull doesn't strain the little wires.
The little LED is surprisingly readable. Selecting particular songs (out 1-2 GB) is laborious. But to load and let them play, its fine.
I keep my tunes in Windows Media Player. The Sansa only seems to allow a single playlist; so, I've established (and continuously modify) various playlist in WMP and then upload (which is simply point and click) from WMP to the Sansa when I need a change (every month or two). 1 GB of WMA tunes (as I've recorded them) is about 150 songs; so, I don't quickly get bored.
Its very good on batteries. I use standard rechargeables which I recharge with a Maha/Powerex MH-C204W (best little charger I've found). It charges in pairs. I have four batteries and continuously recycle them every day or two. Note that if you switch the unit off, when you switch it back on, it plays where you left off. However, if the battery dies, you replace it and restart, it restarts where it was restarted before. Hope that makes sense.
In summary, I'd recommend this player to anyone for basic usage. If you must carry ALL your tunes with you ALL the time, selecting this one and then that one, you'll want something with more storage and selectability (iPod, etc.)
