"I feel bad for purchasing fewer cards in stores!", I honestly have to say that this is one REALLY neat program. It's my first time every using a card maker studio, so there might be more "awesome" programs out there, but this one is definitely worth the money to me =o) My sister got it for me as a b-day present because I wanted it, but I wasn't sure how well I'd like it based on negative reviews. However, I don't think there is anything I feel the need to complain about. It's pretty simple to where I don't even have to read the "HELP" areas *lol*

Just make sure that when you do the installation, you select the FULL program to install because not selecting it might disable your ability to use some of the features.. which is something some people complained about. Also, make sure you set up your printer properties the way it asks you to because if you don't, then you will obviously have cards print out the wrong way *lol* This is all common sense stuff =o)

BOTTOM LINE: I really recommend this for anyone who wants to make cards themselves! =o)

"Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2006 Review", Nice selection of cards. Only one minor complaint- you must you special arrow buttons to move a text box, no way to reposition text with the mouse.

"Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2006", This program works really great and is very easy to learn and understand. Has many different pre-selected templates for cards, but you can create your own card from scratch. I look forward to upgrading in the years to come. Really worth the money!!

"Review Hallmark Card Studio", I make my own cards that include Embroidery Designs. I have not found the means to do this with Hallmark. My blanks are three fold with a space in the centre panel for the embroidery, which is then covered by the first panel and glued. Perhaps I have not played enough with the programme. It will not let me change the size of the card which is 150mm x 320mm. Is there something that I have not found yet? Apart from this problem I have had no trouble.

"Hallmark Card Studio Deluxe 2006 (old version)", Just getting into this site told me that I have the "old version" of this card program. I previously had the 2004 version and loved it. Then I decided to go for the newer and Deluxe version. I have found that there are several cards that are unusuable as there are mistakes on the cards that can't be fixed. Considering that I haven't even got started properly and have already found these cards, I can only imagine what I am going to find as I REALLY get into the program. I am surprised that Hallmark would release something like this to the public. Given what I payed for this, ordering from Amazon, I'm really disappointed. When you buy something like this, it should be perfect!!!!!

"great card maker", Bought this as a gift after acquiring one myself and have since purchased the 2007 deluxe card studio. Both make great cards that every body enjoys getting as well as many other projects available.

"The better of the two available premium greeting card packages. Professional designs a major plus", If you decide to buy a current greeting card program, there are really only two front-line choices: Art Explosion Greeting Card Factory (currently version 5) or Hallmark Card Studio (currently 2006). There are other programs available specifically for creating cards, but most of them are low quality and outdated, and aren't really worth considering. (A competitive third product featuring American Greetings designs is sadly now long outdated; the designs in the American Greetings program were of similar quality to those in the Hallmark package).

So how do these two products match up? Without a question, if you are looking for quality "canned" cards, the Hallmark program wins. The Hallmark designs are professional, and are equal in quality to cards you would purchase in a store. In contrast, the designs in Art Explosion are adequate but surely NOT up to the quality of a store-bought card. The Hallmark program is also able to simply and correctly print to several different types of card store (although you are stuck with the choices pre-programmed into the software unless you want much frustration). The Art Explosion does a poorer job of correctly and simply printing to a variety of card stock and configurations.

Art Explosion beats the Hallmark program in editing options (more extensive), and in the amount of additional art (clipart, etc.) included with the package.

If you do not plan to use the "canned" cards, then I would recommend Art Explosion. But the average user will likely appreciate the professional, high quality cards in the Hallmark package. Personally, I consider the choice of the Hallmark package over Art Explosion a no brainer.

A note on versions: The publisher comes out with a new version of the Hallmark program every year (2003, 2004, 2005, 2006, etc.) and the same is true for Art Explosion Greeting Card Factory. Having used many of these versions, I find very little reason to recommend upgrading year by year. Disappointingly, the stock cards in the Hallmark program do not seem to have changed appreciably in many years, and the same is true for Art Explosion.

"Great program from Hallmark.", This program does exactly as I expect. I am very pleased.

"As expected from Hallmark", I had a very old version of Hallmark Studio, don't even remember how old. Wanted to update. I installed the program and was absolutely amazed and very happy with this product and features. Lots of cards to choose from, very very pretty colors. The event planner is great too! The ONLY thing I would change is the ability change font in the planner, and move written info by tabbing. Otherwise it's a wonderful program. Highly recommended!!
