"Great tool"
This is a great tool, I use it when I ride my motorcycle to up or down the volume or change the songs.

"Muy bueno"
Es un buen accesorio, no tiene problemas, mejor que oir radio en el movil, además incluye un juego nuevo de audífonos.

"Good for only a year give or take..."
Well I loved this Fm radio adaptor for my nano but it's been almost a year and it started acting a bit funky till the next day it just stopped working completely. So if I were you, do not waste 45-50 dollars on this merchandise if it's not going to last. I love apple but the fact that they didn't want to give me another one makes me not want to buy there product. The reason they ask for more money for a 2 year guarantee is because their products will eventually stop working. THIS IS JUST A WARNING
:)

"Excellent accessory"
I have the radio remote attached to my iPod almost all the time--mostly for the convenience of being able to adjust volume and change tracks from the handy clip-on controller. The only reason I didn't give it 5 stars is that this is actually my second one: After a year and half of heavy use, the first one just stopped working. But I'd grown so attached I had to get another!

"worth it just for the remote control "
I owned & used this item for 4 months before I even found out it added FM radio to my iPod !! no kidding ! I just kept using it as a remote control while walking or running, clipped to my t-shirt at belly-button level; perfect for controlling fwd/reverse and volume while running.
Allows me to place my iPod anywhere, out-of-sight, and not touch it until I'm done, due to the added length this device gives to the earbuds.

Very handy, works very well for my needs; good quality just like other Apple stuff.
As for the radio, I just tried it recently a few times and it seems to work fine; but I likely won't use it much, because I listen mostly to Podcasts and mp3s.

"It just doesnt work. And no one knows why", Bottom Line: The tuner randomly quits on me. The radio station cuts off, and the "radio" option disappears from my ipod menu altogether. I have to unplug it, plug it back in, and hope that it works. Sometimes i can get 2 hours of radio time. Sometimes i get 2 seconds. Literally. It will work for mere seconds before needing to be unplugged/replugged again.

I understand the whole point of owning an iPod is to avoid commercial radio altogether. I bought this thing for one station alone (Seattle's KEXP), and i cant even enjoy that. I dont want a separate cheapie FM tuner, because i want to only carry one device around, kthx. This WOULD be an awesome little gadget, but it just doesnt want to be one.

Apple support told me this isnt a common occurance. They had no history on it. They just told me to exchange it. I did. I even reset my iPod back and reinstalled the newest software version (160GB Classic/ver 1.1.2PC). It worked for a morning, then began cutting off again. There is NO documentation on something like this happening to anyone else. So I guess that makes me lucky. If anyone has dealt with this issue, i would love to hear your thoughts.

"Apple Ipod Radio Remote MA070G/D", It's difficult and dangerous to ride a bicycle and operate a nano at the same time until now with the Ipod remote/FM. It's very small and light weight. I attatch a couple of fat small rubber bands to the clip on the back and then slip it over my middle finger like a ring, loosely. Either wear it like a ring on top of your finger to keep it out of the way, and still use your hands for tasks, like typing (doing it now) or whatever... or rotate it to the palm side, then you can use your thumb to control all the functions. I use the palm side when riding my road bike for miles and miles, surfing my 500 songs in bliss. I also use it this way when just walking about. Excellent quality, all functions very responsive, FM reception fine. Never use my ipod without it. Many imitations out there, don't know if I'd risk getting other than genuine apple. Love it!

"Live! Through the iPod!", This is a cool little addition for those who like to stay plugged in. It works pretty well and is easy to use. After I purchased it and used it a little I realized that, although I enjoy several live radio shows, I'd rather not spend even more time with things in my ears. Now it is just another gadget in the drawer. (I DO like my iPod a lot.)

"Works just like it says it does!", It's a fairly strong receiver - even in such a crowded market like NYC. All the controls work as advertised. Wire is a bit long, but since it's also the antennae - I guess it has to be that long. Only other "minor" gripe is that I have to turn the iPod video on before I connect the radio or else it doesn't recognize it. I'm happy with the purchase and Amazon's quick delivery is the best in the on-line business!

"work buts great", It does exactly like it says it will but it is very pricey for what it does. One earbud did not work and it had to be returned.

"Functional but Encumbered by an Absurd Quantity of Cord. ", The iPod Radio Remote functions well but leaves us with a mass of extraneous cord to cope with. The "remote" itself is a little white rectangular device, about 1 3/8" x 1" (3.5 x 2.5 cm) in size, attached to a USB cord that plugs into the docking port on your iPod. Your headphones cord plugs into the remote, which also has a handsome silver clip on the back with a good spring for clipping onto clothing. The controls on the remote resemble the iPod's click wheel but are not touch sensitive. Forward and back buttons allow you to jump between FM radio stations. Plus and minus buttons control volume. The center of the wheel is the off/on. There is also a hold switch on the remote. You can control all of these things with your iPod's click wheel, but the remote is handy and inconspicuous if you carry the iPod in your pocket or bag. The remote controls also function for your music library, so that you can skip songs and adjust volume without fiddling with your iPod.

When you choose Radio from the iPod's main menu or Music menu, the top of the screen displays the station's frequency in big, bold numbers. If your iPod is set to display the time at the top of the screen, it will not do so in Radio mode. No problem, though, because the time is always displayed in the upper right corner above the station number. Below that, there is a smaller rectangular area that displays an FM radio dial graphic, where triangles mark your pre-set stations, and a red line indicates where you are when scanning the dial. That displays for about 15 seconds when you choose a new station. Then any Radio Data System (RDS) that the station is broadcasting displays in that area. This could be the station's call letters or slogan, but some stations broadcast the name and artist of the song that is playing. It is difficult to read the RDS information, because it only displays about 8 characters, which means that you see no more than 2 words at a time, usually fewer. There is no limit to the number of "favorite" stations you can set.

The trouble with the Radio Remote is the USB cord, which is 34 inches (86 cm) long. So you have 78 inches of cord between you and your iPod, including the headphones cord. The Radio Remote comes with a set of headphones that are identical to those you got with your iPod. So you have an extra set of headphones. The long cord may be suitable for someone who carries the iPod in a pocket and clips the remote to his/her lapel. Even so, you will have 50 inches of extra cord. Apple did not have the consideration to supply either an alternative, shorter USB cord or a short-cord set of headphones, which some people may prefer. I coil the USB cord up, but it is not very attractive. If we are expected to pay $49 to activate a simple FM tuner, Apple can find a more elegant solution to this excess of cord. I also find the squatty USB plug difficult to grasp to pull it out of the docking port. It would benefit from some ridges for better gripping.

"Rip- Off by MacIntosh?", This product seems like both a literal AND a figurative afterthought..... or is it intentional on Mac's part to make more money by charging for an overly priced "accessory???" An FM radio should be standard with any of the expensive Ipods, not an accesory that get's worse reception than any portable radio I own. It also seems cheaply made. Typical "Ipod" philosophy of looking good is better than working good."

"Not very impressed.", I receive few stations clearly with this product. I live in New Brunswick, NJ.

Considering the price tag, I must say that I was expecting more.

"Broken wire inside the cord", I was really pleased with this item, but after a year, it seems that one wire inside the cord is broken so I started having some "contact" problems and now is completely unusable. It was a deception after paying $50 for it.

"Fine", 100% happy with it. No problems, good signal capture, just bought another for my wife's ipod too.
