"The worst web building software I've ever used", There are so many glitches in this software, it'll make you go mad trying to get it to do what you're trying to get it to do. I've built many websites myself, writing them myself in HTML. I figured I'd take the easy way out and get a site building program to do it for me. I'll never make that mistake again. Either get a MUCH better product, or learn HTML yourself. It'll be easier in the long run. I've spent over 2 weeks just trying to get all of the website uploaded to the web because of irronious code this program has put in, so in reality, I'm back to trying to rewrite the site myself using HTML. ARGHHHHHHHHHHHH!

"Highly recommended", I wanted to create a professional-looking website for my new business without having to learn any code and SiteSpinner allowed me to do exactly this. My choices were to use a program like SiteSpinner myself or to pay a website designer. I am completely satisfied with the results from SiteSpinner and thrilled that it allowed me to save so much money. I was making a site from scratch so it didn't matter to me that it couldn't import existing html.

"Good product", This is much easier to use than Front Page & dramatcally easier than MS Web Expression for people who don't know HTML. I also tried CoffeeCup but it didn't seem as capable as SiteSpinner. SS is NOT nearly as easy and bullet-proof for beginners as some of the proprietary editors built in to the big web hosting sites like Network Solutions or Yahoo.

My biggest complaint with SS is the text editor is not WYSIWG and doesn't perform like all microsoft apllications when is comes to CUT & PASTE.

"SiteSpinner", I was a software engineer for 22 years. I left the field 7 years ago. I was using SiteSpinner back then and still use it today! I've tried other web design programs - expensive ones too - and always come back to SiteSpinner for its simplicity, ease of use, and straight-forwardness. "Site Spinner is amazing software!", I love this product. I have built a couple of sites and I'm working on 5 more. It's got a ton of features. You have to spend some time and develop your own but that's what "custom" is!!! It's not like using some overused templates. It lets you be your own creator and the sky's the limit!! "Pretty Darn Good!!!", Okay, so I haven't spent too much time using SiteSpinner (yet), but with what I was able to do, guided by the very user friendly tutorial, I was able to create 2 basic web pages and was ecstatic by the results! Admittedly, I don't have any experience with other web building software to compare this experience to, but for someone with as little background with technological garb as I, looking forward to building my own site using SiteSpinner is practically an understatement and needless to say, I am troooly excited!!

"Don't Judge a Book.......(or a software package).....", I recently decided to change my website from a PHP based CMS (content management system - I was using one of the free open source ones) to pure HTML.



I was getting tired of the work required whenever the CMS updated it's software and the havoc it would wreak on my site.



I looked long and hard for a FREE WYSIWYG package (essentially "drag and drop" to layout my site). I can fumble my way through HTML, but I am a visual person and really prefer to lay out my site visually and let the code follow.



Anyhow, I found a few really good FREE packages, only to discover that you actually had to have a specific web host in order to publish it. I'm very happy with my host so switching was not an option.



I then looked at the big name software and tried some demos, only to discover they were a bit too much for my needs and not worth the money, that's when I discovered SiteSpinner on Tucows.com.



I actually downloaded the demo last week, tried it and uninstalled it because it wasn't as easily intuitive as the free software I liked, but then in my search for other reasonably priced software, I saw all the glowing reviews on Amazon and other sites for this software.



So, I reinstalled it and was determined to figure it out. In the end, it really wasn't that difficult to figure out. It's not the prettiest package out there, the icons and stuff aren't as cute and modern as some others, but it definately has many more useful features. It's not super packad with all the features you could ever want, but it definately is good enough for a beginner, or even a more advanced person who just likes the drag and drop features. I did have to consult the company's forums to figure a few things out, but it was a good thing because they really seem responsive and willing to help.



Oh, and you also get free software updates for the life of the version you buy. For instance, the current version is V2.7, and until they hit version V3.0 you get free updates to the software.



Anyhow, as far as reasonable priced drag and drop web creation software goes, this one is at the top of my list!

"Great for Beginners", I have been using Sitespinner for 2.5 years and had never before published a website. It is very straightforward for those with no experience. There are a few little tweaks that could be made to improve it, but for the price it is good value for money.

"I Love SiteSpinner", I love SiteSpinner. I have been using it since 2005. If I could convince my board of education to buy it for every computer in our division, I would do so. It is so user friendly that it is easy to design an excellent web site even if you know nothing about programming or HTML. If you do know HTML or JAVA, SiteSpinner becomes even more impressive.
