"Very good product, no complaints here.", I was pleasently surprised how well this unit sounds considering it's price. It's seems very durable, convenient to carry, and fits well in my backpack. The battery life has been very good as well. I get about 40-50 hours of use from standard AA batteries.

"portable, simple speakers", These speakers are great, the protective case doubles as a stand so they are easy to throw in a backpack, and only have one button (on), so there is less to worry about breaking. I'm a juggler and use them mainly for running through routines in practice space, so the speakers get tossed on my bag with clubs and knives and plates, and so far they've survived the ride. I also like the small, short connection wire it comes with, your mp3 player can sit behind the speakers in the case. The sound is good, not great-it's a little tin-y at high volume, but they are small speakers so this is expected. I wouldn't perform to them except under informal circumstances.

"Pretty good speaker", This delivers ok sound. There is no stereo effect to speak of but for the price and size, it works very well.

"not so great", I got these speakers as a gift. I am not sure i would have chosen them myself for the usage i was planning for. I wanted speakers for portable ipod play. These worked alright, they sound good if you are in front of them, otherwise they are just a bit above average. But as a gift, i didn't have any major complaints on the quality and i know the gift giver (my dad) did his homework on best bang for your buck on these. Perhaps i just got a faulty device, although from the low-star reviews here, it sounds like i had very common problems.

I had a problem similar to many other reviewers, the device turned itself every few minutes, which was really annoying and kind of defeated the purpose. I was using it with the power supply so i don't see why this was happening. Then what's worse, i moved and my power supplies got mixed up so i accidentally used the wrong one and blew the speakers i guess. They have never turned on since. What a waste.

"Great Addition", Like these speakers! Great on the houseboat or patio. Beats wearing the ear buds all the time. Sound quality is acceptable. I am not disappointed.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Poor quality", I was expecting something a little better from this Logitec product. It has a vibrating distorted sound and is no better than my built in laptop speakers.

"Good sound, a few minor mechanical design flaws", The speakers sound pretty great when hooked to the computer or to an MP3 player. The bass is full yet the mid and high ranges are well covered.

The mechanical design is less impressive. The audio cord is far too short to connect to any computer, obviously designed only for MP3 playback use. The idea of opening the speaker cover as a support stand would be great if there were more angles at which the support were stable. Instead, if opened to angle the speakers even slightly upward, the unit falls over backwards.

The unit turns itself off if no input is detected for a while. I haven't yet decided if this is a great feature (keeps from wasting the batteries) or really bad (missed audio cues for incoming email when connected to the computer).

"Turns off; Used to be $15-25", I bought this in 2006 when it was perhaps $45, and I saw it selling for $15 in early 2007. Now it's $99, which is far too much.

Considering it's compact form it does have quite decent bass. I enjoyed this speaker, but when I needed to purchase another portable speaker I chose the AudioSource DB5 portable because:

1. The Audiosource was cheaper (currently $25).
2. Audiosource does NOT turn off automatically after 5 minutes like the Logitech does, so I don't miss Skype calls.
3. Audiosource is powered from the computer via USB, or via AA batteries (Logitech powers from an OUTLET or AA batteries). That's one less outlet to bother with, which is especially nice when overseas or just moving around a lot.
4. Audiosource has volume control buttons wich Logitech lacks.

The Audiosource's bass and maximum (distortionless) volume aren't as strong as the Logitech's (even after I amplify the bass), however the Audiorouce's sound is crisper at lower volumes.

The Audiosource is about 3/5 the size of the Logitech, but a bit thicker, and might be a tad heavier.

"Great speakers for portable and stationary use", This is the second set of speakers (actually a single speaker) that I've ordered. They are both battery and household powered. Very satisfied with unit.

"Great Sound", Purchased for my wife as a Xmas present. For a small, light-weight speaker the sound is great while playing the MP3. Overall, a terrific purchase.
