"Works, but clunky", Obviously this is an inexpensive product that demonstrates "you get what you pay for." It works, my Ipod charges no problem, but the prongs aren't retractable. This makes the product rather awkward to pack and always poses the risk of bending/breaking due to the design. Ultimately, is it really worth $20 for a quality charger when you can have this for next to nothing? I'm happy with my decision.

"DO NOT BUY - COMPANY SHIPS NON-FOLDING CHARGER", I ordered this item expecting to receive a charger that folded flat, but what I received was a charger that does not fold at all - not too useful at all, and VERY DECEPTIVE advertising.

"perfect companion for ipod nano ", i bought this item for a friend who did not own a computer but needed a way to keep her ipod charged. very reasonbly price for a product that i was thinking should have been manufactured 10 years ago. highly recommend

"caution buyers", This charger fried 2 mp3 players, both less than 4 weeks old. A new Ipod touch stopped powering up after the first charge using this item. A cheaper mp3 player died after about a week of use. It worked for a few charges, then after plugging it in one day, I noticed the charging light on the player did not come on and it was extremely hot.

"Beats Apple's price without sacrificing quality!", I bought this charger for my 3rd generation iPod nano. After reading the reviews I was a little scared that it would somehow ruin my expensive gadget. I plugged it in and when it didn't explode, I let out a sigh of relief and let it charge. It seemed to go quicker than when I use my computer for charging (about 2hrs I think). You can continue using the iPod while it is charging, no problems. This product DOES work well, it will NOT ruin your iPod. Another thing I want to address is the concern of some reviewers that there is no indicator light that signifies a full battery. Your iPod display will show a full battery when it is full, so that shouldn't be an issue. Don't pay $30 for something you can get for less than $5 (including shipping I paid $4.33). Although it is very irritating that Apple charges $150+ for these iPods and then tax you even more for the stupid wall charger.

"Works Great for my Shuffle", Great price (under $5 with shipping). Works just fine for my 2nd generation Shuffle. The red status light saves you from plugging it into a switched outlet that's dead.

Amusing China-isms such as "In Door use only". (Just hollow out an old door and you'll be fine.)

Flaws: The packaging is mis-marked @ 12 volts, 1 AMP, but the unit states 5.0 Volts +/- 5%, 150 mA minumum, 500mA maximum, which I believe is correct. Would give it 6 stars if the plug prongs folded away for compactness.

"Cheap and effective", This will provide 5Vdc up to 1000mA for any USB device that can charge via its usb cable, it works for cameras, MP3 players, lamps, whatever device I have tried it with, assuming its current draw is low enough. How long will it last? For as little as 88c each, who cares, buy a couple, it would cost more to buy a USB socket from a parts supplier.

"INSTEN iPod Travel Charger", I picked up a couple of these chargers through Amazon / Eforcity for less than $2 each (plus shipping). Both of them work great. The label says it is an iPod charger, but it will work with most devices that get their power from a standard USB cable. It just converts 100-240VAC from standard USA or Japan style outlets to 5VDC and accommodates a standard USB-Type A connector. I don't own any iPod products, I got them to use with some other devices that have USB cables but didn't have AC adaptors.

So it works great for charging my TomTom Go 720 GPS unit. It also works for charging a Samsung MP3 player.

The unit I got allows you to fold in the AC Prongs which makes it easier to slip into a pocket or purse. The prongs are not polarized. It is rated for an output of 5.0V at 400mA. It has a green LED that illuminates whenever it is plugged in to a wall. The input is rated for 100-240A, so it should work in US or Japan without an adapter, or in many other countries with a simple plug adapter (adapter is not included).

"Works perfect and great price", I've had this thing plugged into the wall powering my iPod Nano for 2 months. It works perfectly from the start and hasn't had any problems. Seemed too good to be true from the price, but it really is a good product. I can't imagine buying a replacement charger from Apple after getting this.

"WHITE NOT BLACK (I'm not racist)", "It is a very nice item but in the picture it show a white charger although it doesn't specify like it should, so I led to believe it was white but infact it was black. It still works nicely though."
