"Blazing Disappointment"
A couple years ago I shelled out $50 for version 5 of Blaze Media Pro. I used the application sparingly but once in a while it proved handy. Then I bought a new computer. The change meant I had to transfer my BMP license by disabling the program on my old computer to enable installation on the new computer. I figured as long as I was transferring the license I might as well upgrade to BMP version 7. I shelled out another $25. As promised, Mystik Media sent me a new activation code. But it didn't work. Tech support said, oops, wrong activation code; try another. Well, that one didn't work either. Tech support suggested I uninstall the whole application and try again. Over the next couple of months I did that several times, using versions 5, 6, and 7 with every activation code I was sent. No combination worked. Mystik Media refused my request to tell me where in the Windows registry BMP placed the hidden code that prevents me from cleanly uninstalling the program. Because of this code, I cannot get BMP to function on my new computer. Even trial versions fail. In frustration, I asked Mystik Media for a refund, rather politely too. There was no response. Repeated requests have been met only with silence. My $75 lesson: stay away from BMP.
Fortunately, I since found an excellent (and far less expensive) alternative in AVS Media's suite of video and audio software.

"Software will not run on my PC"
I used the software for the trial period and liked it. I bought the reg key and now the progam won't even start. When I try to open it I get that "This program needs to close" message. Tech support helped for a couple of days then gave up. They won't refund my money either. I will never buy anything from them again.

"There is a better and FREE alternative..."
This software does what it's suppose to do, however, it is expensive and its user interface is not as easy as Xilisoft's video converter. After testing many such video converters Blaze Media Pro came in second in ranking for converting QuickTime files into WMV and ease with which to drag files into the GUI. Xilisoft came in first. Much easier, and their trial-version is set up such that you cannot convert an individual movie longer than five minutes. But I don't think even Spielberg has a single scene longer than five minutes. So, not only is Xilisoft Video Converter better, it is free for all practical purposes.

"Customer Service"
I purchased the software with a hope that I would be using a lot of the functions, but after a while, not all functions worked. I contacted tech support and they didn't even attempt to fix the problem, they just told me to wait for the next release in over a month. They refused to refund my money, but said they would get me a beta version, now they've stopped answering my e-mails all together, and the date they told me the next version would come out has come and past
