"A good game if you are playing coop", I think the reviews are a bit harsh actually. This game is quite good on the PC but I think you can only enjoy this game if you play it as a LAN Cooperative game.

The only real flaw in this game in my opinion is that the AI seems to pick on player 2, and if you are player 2 then expect yourself to be shot as soon as you poke your nose around the corner.

A great game though and it is better than the first one.

Pity you cant stick to walls on the PC like in Rainbow six vegas

"More realistic than the other Ghost Recons", GRAW2 or GR3 is the best because it does NOT allow stupid fantasy crap like jumping into other squad members or controlling other squads- you must fight just you and your squad. You can plot out several moves and attack with Recon and Attack modes then execute all and go with your squad.

Also, you can get shot a couple of times and keep going but if it's in the head or a machine gun burst (not rifle) you are dead. Also, if you don't use cover you won't get through- just like reality, you don't run into the open and stand there firing your weapon, would you? There are times when you must have a ZEUS or grenades to get past a section so kit up when you set your squad.

Awesome.

"Good deal", They ruined a few small things that were popular in the original, but overall the game was fun in its own experience.

Some cons though: cannot pick up other guns, causes you to run out of ammo quickly with the sniper rifle; checkpoint saving only, which means you have to replay hard areas multiple times.

good points though:very challenging, ultra realistic.
if you like run and gun style games like old school MOHAA, then this is NOT your game.

"XBOX 360 version is bad..really bad", I got an XBOX 360 this Christmas and got this game on the strength of the earlier Ghost Recon games I had played on the PC version. To be fair I played this after just having just finished Call of Duty 4 (which is fantastic), but I have found this sim, Ghost Recon Advanced Warfare, nothing but frustration, and I have stopped half way through. After having gone through a scenario at least 30 times and still no closer to getting out of the situation I went to build my own great wall of China. I figured my time would be better spent and and it won't take as long to finish. Thank heavens I bought it used for half price. I would be slashing my wrists if I'd paid full price.

The graphics are good, the story line, as far as I got into it is okay, but the controls are difficult to manage and things happen far too fast for the clumsy controls layout to keep up with and the AI enemy is deadlier than the terminator.

Avoid avoid, avoid!!!

"Looks very good and is very hard to play", I have been playing Ghost Recon games from the very begining. This incarnation looks very good but is a hard game to play. The old GR games had AI that picked you off with one shot, this one is more accurate in that you get hit and can still keep going.
The graphics are very pretty.
My only complaint is that the missions go on and on. You get to one mission objective and are given another and another. My friend and I are playing the missions on CO-OP mode and that is very fun.
Once in a while the game crashs to the desk top but it is a good time to hang it up for the night.
Missions have long load times also.

"GRAW Disappoints", No savegames, just (sometimes) impossible checkpoints. Team AI just plain stupid at times. I find the game very frustrating. I was an avid Ghost Recon fan, until this version was released.

"SecuROM copy protection", A previous reviewer indicated that this game uses Starforce copy protection, which is well known for causing system problems. This game does not use that, it uses SecuROM copy protection.

"Great Sequal", ghost recon 3 is as good as the originals if not better. lots of people dont like it and i dont know why, its Just Like The ORIGINALS!!. this version has awsome features and great new weapons. i think it has a little bit of a weak plot but awsome gameplay.

"Watch out for the copy protection", More than a little bit of a dissappointment, if you've been into the Tom Clancy tactical games. I thought GRAW would really set a new standard. So much for hype. I don't know if it is because it was developed as a console game (they tend to be a bit "dumbed down" compared to PC games - please don't take offense if you only play console games) or was badly ported or the developers just ran out of good ideas. On top of this, it has Star Force protection, which is a major problem. Wierdly, Ubi pulled SF from its other major release this year but has not (as of this writing) issued a patch to remove it from GRAW. You can remove SF from your system but then you cannot play the game (it will reinstall the stuff). Given the problems folks have had with SF, if you are going to get Ghost Recon, I recommend waiting until it a patch is issued or until SF is removed from the disk.

"Not even in the ballpark of an advanced warfighter...", Some of the extremely aggravating things about this game are 1) the AI ghosts either wander off and do their own thing or get stuck somewhere and you have to go run into them a few times to get them unstuck, 2)the gameplay is predictable and very very linear (you can only go a certain way even if it takes you directly into a line of fire), 3) there are some problems with the graphics where you see your team mate in places they aren't and get stuck on some of the trees and hillsides, and 4) there are no save points in a multiplayer mission.
On the plus side, the game is very challenging (even on the easiest settings). For the cost of this game and the amount of frustration that it causes, I would just buy something else.
