"OK I guess"
It is louder than the batteryless speakers i bought but they give a lot of distortion. not great but they are ok.

"Can't Beat it for the price"
Amazon offered this product for a ridiculously low $3.90, so even with the hit and miss reviews, I couldn't pass it up. I figured if it didn't work I was only out a few bucks.

You're not going to get Bose sound out of this little unit and it could be more durable, but as a compact sound system for iPods, it seems to work very well. Set up was easy and the sound, comparable to a good clock radio, is fine. I bought it to have a way to play my iPod on the road and it takes up minimal space in luggage. When not in use, it folds up into a convenient cube. It's just what I was looking for and for the price you can't go wrong.


"Didn't work at all"
I should've guessed that this wouldn't work d/t the price. Never could even get the thing to turn on... don't waste your time or money!

"Absolutely Great!"
I just got them in the mail today and (once my dad had pretty much tested them out) I plugged my iPod Touch into them right away. I had read some 1-star reviews on the speakers, so I wasn't expecting to much out of the them.
The sound was much better than I thought it would be. I turned up the volume all the way on my iPod and on the speakers and the sound was very loud (duh), but not distorted at all. With my ipod's sound and the speaker's sound halfway up, I can hear them perfectly.
There is a blue light right next to the on/off button, so you can tell if you left it on. And the cord wraps around the back of the speakers and clicks in so it won't fall out.
The only thing that I didn't like was that my iPod touch's headphone jack is on the bottom, so I either have to set it down or put my iPod in upside-down, but I already knew I would have to.
I haven't had a chance to even like attempt drop them, so I have no idea how durable they are, but they feel like they could stand a drop of the kitchen counter if they were folded. But ya, this is great for only like $4, it beyond met my expectations.

These fold-up speakers are great for travel. They produce exceptional sound quality, but they have a few flaws:

1) They don't run completely off the battery - you have to crank up your 'Pod to get louder. (However, they can get pretty loud!) and...

2) The power light probably takes up 75% of the battery light. CAUTION! DO NOT look at the light when you turn on the unit. It is extremely powerful. As I'm writing this now, I still see a small black dot in the middle of the screen. (But hey, if you want a flashlight + speaker combo, it's great!)

Overall, it's a great speaker unit, for the price.
