"so far so good"
So far these are great out of a pack of 30 Ive used 10 and not one coaster so far. The picture is clear the sound is good and these lightscribe discs seem to be every bit as good and reliable as the regular verbatim discs Ive used in the past. Verbatim even though a little more expensive is definately worth it and the light scribe is great Ive been able to customize all my discs and the ones I give as gifts using pictures of my family, our dogs or even something personal to the person Ime giving it to and its never taken longer than 17 mins to burn. Only complaint if I had one would be that I wish the image was a little bolder and more pronouced, I wish it stood out a little more, but compare to a sharpie and my awful handwriting these lightscribe discs truly are remarkable

This product is excellent. In fact, I would burn the whole pack of these disks just for fun, that's how I love to do it! I just cannot stop! I made a DVD disk with photo slide-show for my parents as a present and created very cool label with 5 different pictures and text on it. My parents could not believe me, that I made it by myself.
You can get a lot of ideas for label designs on the Internet or create your own style. The software is free for download and fun to use. The quality of the disks are also very good.

"Easy to use and a brand you can trust.", I have a VHS to DVD machine and this work great in it, just as Verbatim always has for the 4+ years I had the machine. I bought these to test out computers as well as a duplicator I bought as a Christmas gift for someone and they work great.

The only downside is they take longer to write than most DVDs that are 16x but that is okay because they come out perfect and the lighscribe looks great on them.

"Verbatim lightscribe dvd media", I have been using these for a few years, work great, like the lightscribe rather than stickers that eventually peel off and could get stuck in drive!!

"These disks do not print.", Nothing but success with every verbatim spindle i have ever purchased before but these were lemons. I have yet to figure out a way to make lemonade from them.

The data side burns fine. Out of 4 so far, only one has printed on the lightscribe side.

These were purchased in early July '08. The chances of buying disks from the same bad lot are remote.

"pretty sweet", got these to try lightscribe for the first time and they worked great!!! not a single coaster in the pack. i will be getting these again for sure. as for the timely fashion in which they came, it was good. i usually get my purchases faster, however, they did arrive on time and that's all i can ask for. good job amazon.

Read this reviews before You buy...

"Good", Verbatim makes great DVDs so the quality of your burn is always solid. The lightscribe is ok. The contrast could be better, but I have the feeling that it is what it is. I don't know if other companies make a better quality lightscribe DVD. It's still better than hand-writing the lables, that's for sure.

"Cant be beat!", I've never made a bad burn with Verbatim DVD's. I did try a cheap brand "Dynex" Don't try it!! 4 out of 4 dynex ones failed on my HP Burner so i returned them and bought Verbatim. like i said, haven't made a coaster yet! Also the smart people at the DVD forums all say that Verbatim is one of the best quality ones to use. Apparently cheaper DVD's will flake out over time and Verbatim's stand the test of time pretty well.
The LightScribe looks really cool and professional, True it takes about 28 minutes to make a complex template but so what, go watch TV and come back in 30 minutes right.. I've heard that Verbatim is coming out with colored dvds so look out for those in the near future!

"No More Sharpie Smudges", I see I'm being asked to review a "Verbatim DVD+R 4.7GB LightScribe 30pk Spindle" with no mention of write speed. What I bought was 16X and they work just fine. The LightScribe capability means no more sloppy looking titles. In fact, you can burn images, too, though only in sepia. A word about the speed: the 16X 30 pack is Verbatim part #95091. Some places only carry 8X, other places carry #95091 and mistakenly call it 8X (see Amazon picture, then check #). Not sure why, but I had a long talk with a rep at Provantage.com and their #95091 was the same #95091 I was holding in my hand, so I ordered more. Good product!

"Burn it more than once!!", These work really well - if you are having trouble seeing what was burnt onto the label side, you can burn it as many times as you want. Just close the cd case and click print again. It has a spot that tells it where to start so it will burn right over the original image and just make it darker. Don't do it more than 3 times because after that you begin to lose contrast and it starts getting worse... but it gets it very black!

"Great for Lightscribe burners", these are my staple DVD's for family distribution and I don't have to use marking pen.
