Updated my Acer Extensa from 1G to 2G and it works well. It recognized the memory immediately. After it was too late to cancel the order, I found the same thing from NewEgg made by Crucial for $15 less. Oh well. BL

"Great Value!"
If you have never taken the cover off your computer to do a little work, this is a great baptism into the world of computer tech. I'm no I.T. guy so if I can do it, you can do it. If you can follow simple instructions this is an inexpensive way to increase performance.

Important Note: Make sure the type of Ram you buy matches the Ram already in your computer. If you don't the new Ram won't work with the old.

I had no problems with this at all, but I was worried that because my other 1 GB RAM stick is 500Mhz there would be a problem; false alarm. Great price, better than Wal-Mart's price, even.

Kingston ValueRam 2GB 667MHz DDR2 Non-ECC CL5 DIMM (Kit of 2)

Purchased above item following Kingston screen prompts, wound up with memmory that did not fit into the memory slots in my EMachine [not a model currently listed]. Probably an error in selection on my part.

I completed the Kingston "live support" protocol twice within the last week to try and arrange an exchange, but have received no return call, and don't see an alternative contact method handy.

This is not a pleasant experience.

"Big Savings, Big Performance", For the love of all that's holy, do NOT buy ram upgrades from Apple unless you have more money than sense and pride yourself on being separately from both. Apple memory is NOT blessed by Steve Jobs and does NOT warrant the stupendous markup they apply to it. The Kingston ValueRAM is a great deal and will usually make a markedly improvement in your computer's performance. Some Mac laptops can be trickier than others to install ram into but you can find excellent, full-illustrated guides for all of them at http://www.ifixit.com/

"Installed... Worked instantly!", What can I say? I installed these 2 in my Dell desktop, turned it on, and it instantly recognized and used the 2 extra GB of RAM! So simple!!

"Good Ram", Ram is great works awesome no problems installing it

"Great quality for a great price", I purchased two of these 1 GB cards to replace the two half-gig cards in my MacBook (running Leopard), and they went in with absolutely no problem. My laptop runs much faster and more smoothly. You can't go wrong with this one!

"Terrible companies to work with", From my research it looked as if Kingston ValueRAM was a product that would be compatible with my IBM ThinkPad and Toshiba laptops. When I received it in the mail and tried to put it into the dock, it would not fit in either laptop. I spoke first with PC Universe and the customer service was completely unhelpful and rude. They offered no help whatsoever and told me to call the manufacturer, Kingston. I spoke with Kingston and they told me I could exchange it for a charge of over $200 when I only paid about $40 originally! That is not an exchange in my mind. The misleading information that indicated this would work for my laptops left me out $40 with two useless GB's of RAM.

"Hmmmmmmmm. . . ", Unless you own a laptop or a REALLY old desktop this Ram is NOT compatable. I ordered 4 sticks of it ony to find out that it is 533 Mhz I dont understand why i have to click "more technical details" to see how many Mhz it is. This may be good for laptops but it is an absolute failure for new desktops. Btw heres my computer build. MSI Platium Mother Board, ZOTAC Ge Force 8800, Intel Quad Core 2.4 MhZ, Baracuda 250 GB hard drive
