Others say...
"Great for Kids" My 3 year old son loves this game. There's not a lot of thought involved and the characters pretty much work the same with just different names for similar moves. The detail is good enough for him to recognize the characters. Basically its free baby sitting for about 1 hour a day.
"Challenging and Exciting " This games is the next best thing to being a hero. Great graphics, lots of exciting locales
"X Box version" This is a very good game, better than I expected. The Flash, Green Lantern, Woman Woman among others need their own video games. I like the cinematics very much.
"Great game...still a lot of lost potential..."
After about 8 reviews, one can pretty much get a feel for the games pro's and con's...but I loved playing this game so much that I felt compelled to come write a review and praise the game makers. I think this game is a must for any Justice League fan, but it COULD have been an amazing game for anyone...if they put a little more thought into it.
The pros:
First off, this game plays WAY easier than Marvel Ultimate Alliance. I loved this game, where as all the text windows and details of MUA just bored me. I liked the simplicity of things.
Graphics. The smooth graphics and animations of the game were top notch. You can't ask for anything more. Some people are complaining about the top camera view, but I thought it was fine. Plus you can zoom in for a different perspective anyway. The top view graphics feels like a gauntlet game, which is a good thing. It makes for a fun fighting game that I can come in and play without a stupid walkthrough book to tell me what to do and where to go. Sometimes people just want to bash up monsters without puzzle solving.
The powers are also wonderful. They didn't go overboard here, but they gave each character some mega cool powers that are animated great. My favorite is batman's bat beacon and superman's heat vision, but there are definitely some great moves here.
The con's
Like everyone else says...it SUCKS that you can't choose your characters every stage!! At first, I didn't care, because I liked playing each one...but as the game went on, I developed my favorites, and it stunk having to go play with others. Everyone has their own favorite character, so it bites we have to wait to use them. By the time you can actually pick your characters, you are nearing the end, so you can't really develop them...and need to just go with your strongest few to win the game. I get that the movie clips tie into the 2 characters, but just find a way to make the clips so they aren't depended on using 2 specific characters.
I love the characters, and unlockable characters, but what is the point in getting to play with them if you can't play with them whenever you want?? I unlocked all the characters, but I couldn't really enjoy them because I could only play with one new one. It takes a while to "master" each character's powers....so by the time you've mastered them, you're back to being forced to play with someone else...and next thing you know, the game is over.
This really leads into the game being too short. It wouldn't be so bad to have the game be short if you could just play it again with other characters, but you have to go back and play the same scenes with the same heroes. It's just dumb.
I really hate this trend of buying powers. I hate having an energy meter. Whatever happened to the good old days when you got so much experience, you learned a new power? Or how about being able to have all your powers from the start? The game is so short, you can't really power up any one skill too much because you need to invest in combat and health. I hate having to decide where to invest my 1 point. Lol. Like I said...if the game was a LOT longer, then it wouldn't be so bad because you could really build your character. By the time this game ends, only 3 characters can really be strong.
Summary
Awesome game, but I hope for a sequel soon where we can pick all of these characters whenever we want. It would also be fun to have some kind of arena where we could somehow duel. I'm not sure off hand how to make that fun, but I'm sure it could be somehow. Or maybe make the game more like gauntlet...more monsters so you could enjoy using all your powers...and longer battlegrounds.
"Batman is the only redeeming quality." This game sucks. They don't feel like the heroes that they are. The only real difference between any of these superheroes is what they can and can't lift and their costumes. I don't quite think the gameplay works all that well for the Justice League. It works very well in the X-Men Dimension games and the Marvel Ultimate Alliance game, but in this game, it just feels dull. Quite possibly because almost all of the superheroes in DC are just very powerful. The game doesn't work well and it doesn't give you that good clean fun that should come with playing as one of these superheroes. They all have really hardcore powers and are cool in the comic books and in the tv shows, but once they hit the videogame world, they somehow lose all of their appeal.
The voiceovers in the game were semi-decent. I like Ron Perlman, but not as Batman. It didn't seem right. Why couldn't they get Kevin Conroy from the Animated Series? He's the best Batman ever voice wise.
This game is a major dissapointment that feels clunky, outdated, and takes away pretty much all of the fun that should be associated with a superhero. Stick with the Marvel universe games until someone else acquires the rights to make DC games. Hopefully they can do better than this pile of crap.

What our customer's say!
"fun but familiar", kind of fun but very similar to other games ,like Marvel Ultimate Alliance, except with smaller mission teams(with less controller change options) and NO team member choice options, which is the biggest game flaw. plus the voice acting, while well done, is flawed
"it's ok", This game is just ok. You just walk around and punch people. This kinda game is for little kids. Adults would get bored of it really quickly.
"What a superhero team game should be", I bought Justice League Heroes used for $10 because I had heard people say it wasn't that great, but I still wanted to try it because I love DC Comics. I was blown away by this game. It's one of the most fun games I have ever played.
The game is a fairly simple beat em up adventure with RPG elements thrown in. As you fight enemies you gain experience, which makes your characters stronger. You can decide which abilities to improve, and can even slot boosts to those abilities, to make them even more powerful. The game looks great, except for a couple character models that look nothing like their comic book counterparts, but that's forgivable. The superpowers your characters possess make the fighting more interesting, and the multiple characters means that you can experiment with different teams and character's abilities. I was thrilled to see the inclusion of Green Arrow, who has always been one of my favorites. There are a few levels where you have to play as certain characters, but the rest of the time you can choose a two person team to use on a level. The story is pretty good too, and you don't have to be a comic geek to follow it. The game is very linear, but for this type of game that makes sense, as you never spend too much time in one area. There are also a lot of unlockables to purchase, both new characters and outfits that give your characters different attributes. The game also lets you start a new game once you've beaten the story mode once using the characters that you've already leveled up. You can also play two player co-op, which I have with my girlfriend, who loves the Flash. The controls are fairly simple and easy to pick up. My girlfriend rarely plays video games, but she had no trouble at all picking up this one.
There are a couple things I don't like about this game though. One is that there are three green lantern characters to choose from, the default character John Stewert and the unlockable characters Kyle Rayner and Hal Jordan. Unfortunately, they all have the same powers, so you're really just getting two new outfits for John Stewert, but you have to level up them up. Also, I have nothing against Huntress, but she has never been a member of the Justice League. I don't see why she was included instead of other characters, such as Hawkman, Blue Beetle, Booster Gold, Plastic Man, Red Tornado, or any other number of heroes. Oh, and some of the voice acting is off. I don't see why DC/Warner Bros. or whoever makes the decisions thinks they need to get different voice actors for all the new video games and movies they're coming out with. As long as I've been into comic books and watching cartoons, Kevin Conroy has been the voice of Batman. Ron Perlman isn't bad or anything, but he just doesn't have the voice. Conroy does. Most of the other's don't sound too bad, except Hawkgirl, who sounds like an audience member on Jerry Springer. Also, although you can play through the game again, you have to start at the beginning every time, and you can't skip levels. the last thing is that even with the characters abilities at max, beating the game on the Superhero difficulty level is impossible. I even turned the cheats on, which I rarely do, and I was still having trouble so I gave up.
All in all, this is one of the most fun games I've ever played, and it is definitely worth buying.
"Pretty Good...", Let me start off by saying that I am a huge DC Comics fan. I was waiting for a long time for someone to make a Justice League video game. When I got this game, I was pretty impressed. The story is AMAZING!!! I love everything about it. The gameplay...not as much. Don't take me wrong, the gameplay is good, it's just not great. You start off in the game having to be as certain heroes (you play as two heroes each level except the last where you play as seven). Later on in the game, you can choose which heroes you want to be, which is cool especially for a DC fan. You can play as Superman, Batman, Wonder Woman, Flash (the Wally West version, although Jay Garrick is an unlockable costume), Green Lantern (John Stewart, Kyle Rayner, and Hal Jordan), Martian Manhunter, Zatanna (why?), Green Arrow (an unlockable character), Aquaman (an unlockable character), Huntress (an unlockable character), and Hawkgirl (an unlockable character). There are also tons of reaaly cool villains (which I will not name to give away anything). There are only two things that are not great in the game. One, the gameplay, and two, I wish they could've thrown in more heroes. I mean, why Zatanna and Huntress? Why not Plastic Man, Black Canary, the Atom, Firestorm, or Blue Beetle? Oh well. Overall, this game is really good.
"Not Marvel, but not bad", Kinda of supprising for me was this game. I am a huge super man fan and grew up on DC comics, however my husband is a marvel fan so we first bought the marvel version of this game and then this one. I have to say marvel put it together alot nicer then this one, and easier to understand. There are a few bonuses to this game, but i wont ruin it for you. Over all it was a blast to play but marvel would have gotten 5 stars

Read this reviews before You buy...
"Great game", i actually got pretty close to what i thought was the end when my ps2 crashed and corrupted the saved game. i had to start over at the beginning, but it was just as much fun the second time through, and only slightly easier since i remembered how to beat the tough guys. the flash is my favorite with his pinball/ricochet attack, and wonder woman's block winds up killing anyone who's shooting at her. you can also customize the heroes and build up their skills as the monsters get tougher. the plotline is pretty good too, you go through one villian to find another, etc. overall very smooth and nice.
"Second-Rate Game", This is simply a second-rate game, a pretender, a wannabe. It simply reeks of rush job made to cash in on the super-hero craze. You battle through hordes and hordes of robots. It feels more like a chore rather than fun. The super-heroes themselves blend in with the other enemies so that you can't see them amongst the hordes and hordes of robots. Then the game ends. No special cut-scenes. Just screen credits. That after working hard to clean the screen of robots. To add insult to this whole thing the game is very short. Don't waste your money on this rubbish. Take it from me, once you've played the other super-hero games you will see how really bad this one is. Save a little bit more and get the real game. Don't waste your money on this game. Show the game developers that you don't like being ripped off by games like this.
"A Mindless Boring Button-Mashing Game with Heroes in It", I finished the game and had to write a review on this game because it was so bad. The game is basically a button-mashing game with no excitement. I found myself trudging through the game just so that I could finish it. Otherwise I would have spent a lot of money for nothing. If you are a novice gamer, you will get bored with this game. If you are a veteran gamer, you will stop playing in ten minutes. Don't waste your money on this game. It felt like a game the company rushed to put out in order to cash in on the super hero craze and/or holiday spending. There are many games out there that are super hero games out there that are a whole lot better like X-Men Legends I and II. They even came out way before this dud.
"My son loves this game.", He beat the game so quickly, however. It didn't seem challenging enough for him. My son turned 12 in March.
"An Awesome Game.", thank god they finaly made a game where you can play the flash and other cool dc comic heroes. this game is fun to the limit. must i say more.
